It's kind of obvious why she won't leave him. She said she was homeless when they met, and he took her and her two kids in. Financially, it's probably difficult for her to leave because she's dependent on him in some way. This is real life. It's not always as easy as "just pack your bags and leave." It's usually a lot more to it than just that.
You know what, I'm glad he said all of this to her. Because if he'd held in those negative thoughts about her, imagine how hard it was gonna hit once they'd gotten married and had a child. She would feel even more trapped. He showed his true colours and it allowed her get away faster. People revealing their true selves is a blessing in disguise
When she said “I’m scared” I broke down !!! I was so scared to leave my ex out of fear of being alone as a fat black woman, but since I’ve done it my life has blossomed! It’s lonely sometimes, but finding comfort in my self and love for myself is a kind of peace I can’t let go of. I’m so rooting for this woman!!! I would like an update on her. I dated a guy who became disgusted with my existence after I gained weight. Actually, he might have just hated everything about me in the end and let me know in more ways than one. The crazy thing is, I met him as someone who went to the gym 5 days a week and he was not Mr fit and skinny. I thought he would be more understanding when I gained weight, I didn't even notice I was gaining because I completely changed my routine to fit his lifestyle. I understand now that that was the wrong move on my part but yeah. It happens and it's terrible and it taught me how poor my relationship with myself is. I'm still working on it but I pray I get to a good place soon.
You should have never changed your routine to fit his raggedy ass lifestyle. I don’t understand why people think it’s good to lie to someone by telling them they look good when they’re clearly overweight. Of course the delivery matters and you should never try to hurt the other person’s feelings, but how is it fair to expect him to accept her that way when he met her and fell in love with her when she was looking completely different ? Looks matter because they define attraction. I think it’s okay for a partner could it be man or woman to let his spouse know they are going the off rail and should put some effort into looking better/being healthier. This is the exact comment I was looking for. His approach was bad, but 60lbs (possibly more based on her question type of response) is not a little weight. I’m a woman and even with knowing I’ll probably have kids one day I feel like it’s my responsibility to take care of myself. If she’s gained all that weight just trying to have a baby and she didn’t stay motivated trying to stay healthy I can only imagine what would happen to her health after a baby. If your weight is a trigger then it should be a motivation to work towards the healthy body that would make her feel comfortable. This is not just targeted towards women, everyone should value their health and body enough to take care of it and understand why their partner might have a hard time with a large amount of weight being gained. Weight management is important guys... not only for aesthetics but from a health perspective. I believe everyone wants to live a long and comfortable life and that includes living healthy which includes trying to be the right weight for your own well-being. That being said, making someone feel bad or disrespecting them coz of a condition or situation they in is not it.
Bodies are made in the kitchen not the gym. 80% of weight loss is nutrition, 20% work outs. Running fast will blow your knees out at that weight. Baby girl Nina has point. He has to change his whole view of you. Do not have a baby with that guy.

I dated a guy who became disgusted with my existence after I gained weight. Actually, he might have just hated everything about me in the end and let me know in more ways than one. The crazy thing is, I met him as someone who went to the gym 5 days a week and he was not Mr fit and skinny. I thought he would be more understanding when I gained weight, I didn't even notice I was gaining because I completely changed my routine to fit his lifestyle. I understand now that that was the wrong move on my part but yeah. It happens and it's terrible and it taught me how poor my relationship with myself is. I'm still working on it but I pray I get to a good place soon.

I don’t understand why people think it’s good to lie to someone by telling them they look good when they’re clearly overweight. Of course the delivery matters and you should never try to hurt the other person’s feelings, but how is it fair to expect him to accept her that way when he met her and fell in love with her when she was looking completely different ? I think it’s okay for a partner could it be man or woman to let his spouse know they are going the off rail and should put some effort into looking better/being healthier. This is the exact comment I was looking for. His approach was bad, but 60lbs (possibly more based on her question type of response) is not a little weight. I’m a woman and even with knowing I’ll probably have kids one day I feel like it’s my responsibility to take care of myself. If she’s gained all that weight just trying to have a baby and she didn’t stay motivated trying to stay healthy I can only imagine what would happen to her health after a baby. If your weight is a trigger then it should be a motivation to work towards the healthy body that would make her feel comfortable. My heart definitely drop! I feel your pain😢 I’ve been battling low self esteem my entire life. So when people I have dealt with hurt me such as cheated with a smaller individual made me feel even low of myself I already felt bad and thinking I’m unwanted or too big or ugly in that matter. But one thing for sure GOD loves me and he loves you can do good all by yourself. No one should have to suffer like that no one no man no woman 😢 the shit hurts it hurts to it’s cure but you are a beautiful young lady keep your head up and don’t look down keep looking up with that smile GOD will block those who have hurt us he definitely will. If he cant handle you gaining weight this process of trying to have a child, what happens later in life you or your child gets sick. You really need to depend on him.
