Quick fix for the Nikko Stirling point of aim / impact shift on cheaper Nikko scopes.

  • In this video I show how I sorted the apparent shift of aim in some of my Nikko scopes. I realised that the diopter adjustment was moving left right up down because the threads or the fit is quite loose because. I wear glasses so I need the dioptre adjustment set, so the reticle is nice and crisp. I realise some people simply screw the dioptre ring all the way in so it is square against the eyebell, and has little to no movement, but that does not always leave the reticle very clear for most people.

    Was just about to throw mine in the bin, because I couldn't get it to hold zero. Finished taping, got it nice and tight. Will re-zero in the morning. Fingers crossed, it'll fix it!

      Once I've got mine right for my eyes, I tape them on the outside as well now. The earlier Hawke sports suffer from the same problem.
