Every time, I change to the APSC mode with this A7RIV the depth of field is not good as shooting with full frame size. So the APSC mode does suffer the depth of field.

Or perhaps you can tell me if it is an advantage that minimum Focus distance is only 20 cm at 120 mm, compared to Sony rx100 mk vii that has a minimum focus distance at nearly 100 cm at 200 mm, top side its a clear advantage for close focusing on subjects close to you. But im confused if it is an advantage when used with cmc1 or similar diopters underwater ?
I have bought this camera body and housing, for lens what would be the best choice if I have a WWL-1 already? For a wide angle, would the 28-60mm with Nauticam WWL-1 be better or worse than a Canon alternative?

Not long ago, I tried using mc-11+canon 100mm macro 2.8l for a7r3, and catching af was slower than Sony 90mm macro. Does a7r4 result in a different result?
It's actually super simple. The expanded viewfinder replaces the standard one on the housing. You basically look through it similar to how you would use a telescope or microscope eyepiece. Even with a vision-correcting mask, you only need to be millimeters back from the expanded to viewfinder to have a sharper and more magnified image from the camera's eyepiece.

Custom white balance is good down to about 40ft in favorable conditions. The GH5 is a little more flexible when it comes to white balance, but the image quality of the A7R IV is much better.

Do you think the Sony 28-60 with the wwl1 will be Sharp enough for the 61MP Sensor of the a7riv?

With the Sony 14mm f1.8 for wide angle and 90mm f2.8 for macro it does have some great lenses for underwater now

We found the macro autofocus performance on the A7R3 to be pretty slow in general. The A7R4 is significantly faster!

Yes, as the distinction in dynamic range detail comes from the difference between an electronic image versus an optical image.
