This is a great development. I remember visiting Tel Aviv in 2018 and thinking this is a city in dire need of some form of rapid transit. Ironically, the red line would have helped a lot for the commutes that I and my friends ended up doing. I went and got myself a bus smart card - in that dodgy af bus terminal can't remember its name - but my mates continued using taxis and looked at me as if I were mad for choosing the bus (which I kinda was). So, this is a big step in the right direction. As I see it there are two main issues with this line: 1) capacity. Already now I can see the metro trains being hideously overcrowded. I kinda get why a light rail line was built, but then again I also don't. I mean, we're talking about Tel Aviv, a city with more than 4 million people living in its metro area, heavy rail metro should have been preferred (which they are also building, thankfully). The other big problem however is the space constraints at the exits and entry points. The platforms are a decent size (remind me of Copenhagen), three escalators going up is not bad either (4 would have been better), but only two escalators for street to mezzanine level with barely any breathing space? Seems like a recipe for queues and overcrowding tbh.
2 other light rail lines are currently in construction, estimated launch 28 and 29, and then 3 higher capacity metro lines are in the planning stage for mid to late 30's. Once the 3 light rail lines are built there will be decent connectivity.
Generally a good step in the right direction however won't help for people not living in the general area of the red line (the one just opened). Only when the whole grid gets connected is when this would be useful. But still nice to see something as modern looking and efficent in the state of constant delays and cancels.
Also pretty nice not seeing 1 inch of advertisement, compared to other underground stations around the world

@@JazzATrainIt will be expanded, there are 2 more light rail lines that are being currently constructud, 3 more metro lines that are on the planning stage and 2 BRT system that are also being planned.

זה ממש נהדר הקו האדום רק חושב שיהיה לזה יותר השפעה שכל הקווים יעבדו גם הירוק והסגול וחבל שלא יהיו הרבה תחנות תת קרקעיות כמו בקו האדום שעושה את ההבדל

למה הרכבת עומדת כל כך הרבה זמן בתחנה?! זה מוגזם
בחלקים העליים או בתחנות התת קרקעיות? ביום ההרצה הן עמדו יותר זמן ייתכן בגלל ענייני תיאומים, בשוטף כנראה הן לא יעמדו הרבה זמן אלא רק זמן שמספיק כדי לאפשר לכולם לעלות ולרדת בבטחה. גם אם מפסידים רכבת זה לא נורא כי התדירות גבוהה! תודה שצפית, נשמח אם תעשה סאב לערוץ, ושיתוף ולייק, שבוע טוב!
@@YouLikeTravel בתחנות התת קרקעיות ובעיליות הדלתות של הרכבת צריכות להיות פתוחות לבדיוק 10 שניות. בסרטון רואים רכבת שעומדת בתחנה חצי דקה (שזה הרבה מאוד)

הבנתי שזה יקוצר טיפה עם הזמן, עדיין...בחור או בחורה צעירים החיים בבת ים יוכלו לעלות לרכבת בשבע וחצי בבוקר ולהיות בעבודה בתל אביב תוך שעה בנוחיות ומבלי לדאוג לחנייה, דלק או להיות מושפעים מתאונות דרכים בדרך או תנאי מזג אוויר. בהחלט משפר את איכות החיים והולך לעלות באופן משמעותי את מחירי הדירות והביקוש לאורך הקו הזה. אפשר לעבוד, לבלות ולעשות סידורים בת אביב ותוך שעה להיות בעיר שלך.
@@edbe8616 שעה מבת ים לתא זה לא סביר גם עם רכב, אז בוודאי לא ברכבת קלה, זה מרחק של פחות מ15 ק"מ, אמור לקחת 20 דק בלחץ. לא ברור
@@meni2410 נסיעה בשעות הבוקר ברכב יכולה לקחת גם יותר משעה אם התנאים לא מאפשרים, בנוסף צריך למצא חנייה בתל אביב. לפי מה שקראתי הנסיעה תהיה מהירה יותר עם הזמן כי זה עדיין בשלבים הראשונים, ועדיין הנסיעה הזו בשעות השיא ורכבות שמגיעות בתדירות גבוהה מעלים את רמת המחייה ומאפשרות לאנשים להיכנס ולצאת מתל אביב בשעות הקשות יותר של היום בכל רגע נתון שירצו במשך שבוע העבודה.
רק שזה לא יהפוך להיות כמו הרכבת התחתית בניו יורק

You can have more children and have them work for you on Shabbat if you like, most Jewish families religious or not like to have their families with them on weekends and not working. Make your own children and have them work for you that way you won't have a problem.

Population increasing without space for its inhabitants and the prices of houses getting unreal, people who go to work and get more money than average pay more then 50% taxes when some population don’t pay taxes at all.
I think the future of Israel will change now and stuff like public transportation have to work in weekend as well in order to make people’s life better.

A new train in the very center of Israel but will not ride on the weekends due to religious reasons. Are you kidding me?
These are our constraints here, unfortunately. However the light rail is most useful for getting to work on weekdays. At least this problem is getting solved (when the whole network will open). Hopefully, by then we will have normal government that will allow the trains operate on weekends

קומת הכניסה לפני הירידה לרציפים, גדולה מדי, מיותרת בגודלה. שוממת. לא כוללת שירותים, מזון, מקומות ישיבה, מידע עירוני, משהו ייחודי על העיר - כלום. פשוט עיצוב גרוע, לא מבין ממה מתלהבים. כל התחנות באותו שטענץ, אין בהן שום דבר ייחודי או מעניין.
כל הבלגן הזה בשביל מרחק של ארבע או שלוש שכונות????...ממש כמו בביטוי הרבה רעש בתקשורת-מעט בתכ'לס...ברור למה ראש העיר לא הגיע לטקס....
זה בהחלט עדיין חלק קטן מכיסוי המטרופולין של גוש דן, אבל כן בשורה של שינוי
תהיה סבלן. הקו הזה הוא הבסיס. בעתיד הוא יתחבר לקו הסגול, הירוק והמטרו
לא נראה יפה , אבל זה הייה צפוי, מקווה שלפחות הוא עובד טוב
