This my favorite Sabbath record. The riffs, the lyrics, the vocals. That album cover is bad ass too. I would say this is an under appreciated album but the fact is a lot of fans and famous musicians praise this album.
Born again s hard ass kicking LP. I have My soft spot for the tunes in it, since they made me grew along with some friends and inspired us to smoke pot and play heavy rock and rolling music. Good stuff, great times.

@@8o86The result in the recording of Born Again is considered something of a failure but this lucky mistake gave it a unique and sinister atmosphere. Born Again is a very very particular case compared to the sound of the Martin era recordings.
My impression is that the Anno Domini box set was more successful than expected. Maybe the excitement has given a boost to the making of the Born Again remix ? 😂

@@independenceltd. I think this video is the 2011 remaster. There has been talk by Tony that he wants to remix and remaster the album. A remix would offer the chance to more significantly change the sound of the album compared to a remaster alone. I hope it happens!
When I bought this album back in the day, my wife would listen to it with me, but she refused to look at the album cover. I had to turn it over or cover it when she was in the room - LOL. (And now you know how ancient I am that I was already married when this came out)
Haha yeah. I was already a metalhead when I got this and I thought wow this is heavy! Loved it though. Fantastic album. First I bought with my own money.
Geezer gave me the bitter beer face when I told him that I absolutely loved this album, with the singer for one of my favorite bands joining with another favorite . I think he's even come around at this point.

Sometimes the interviewer controls the room, sometimes they don't and sometimes you can't tell which. I'm not buying it, they've both spoken no ill of it to me.
"Disturbing the Priest" is in my top 5 favorite songs of all time. I think it's Gillan's greatest work. The way he sings the line "If you're ready and have the need, I'll take your soul and plant my seed oooohhhhh". No one could do it that great.. no one. The man sang the part of Jesus on Jesus Christ Superstar and Satan on this album. The only one who could imo.
I saw them at the Fox in Atlanta. They were so effing heavy I wasn't sure if the building would survive. 😅 I loved both the album & the show. Sad it was only 1 album.

I had the cassette too! Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to get it from my mom. She didn't approve of the cover so I had to buy it with my allowance. I road my bike up to the record store and had to smuggle it in the house, lol.
"Trashed" is a killer opening song. Its kind of like a scarier "Highway Star" meets "Turn On The Night" on a highway leading straight into hellfire and as urgent and deadly sounding as a tornado of fire. "Born Again" is without a doubt one of the heaviest albumsin Black Sabbath history. It wasnt just that Ian Gillan wasin his tip top vocal prime and singing as if the devil possessed his soul, thw whole band is pounding like a jackhammer on solid steel. The riffs are all evil and the solos sound chillingly demonic. The keyboard sound is evil. The bass is evil. The album cover us one of my favorite of all time out of any music. I have a lifesize tapestry ofit in my house! I actually like the production too, especially in the remastered version.
I love this this album's production, raw, mean, evil and obscure as metal should be! I hope they release more live recording from this tour as well as the unmixed demos. Definitely this is not the kind of production that Taylor Swift fans would enjoy.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath s peak, but the best is Sabotage. You can't beat the anger and inspiration they had through really desperate times back then. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath showed to us the best Sabbath back then, and Sabotage was like PHUCK dat, PHUCK this label, and an all hell broke loose vibe from the band, and by extension into the songwriting. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was the best they could work through coke fueled times, Sabotage was them separating the men from the boys while living a contractual and financial tragedy and being forced to carry on by management regardless on top off that. A national acrobat, the title track or sabbra cadabbra can't beat the writ. Hole in the sky s the most thunderous tune they could produce leaving that dark but tamed times of Cornucopia, electric funeral and songs alike.

@juliooliveira8831 I doubt they will remove it. It's possible it will be a super deluxe version, with a remaster, remix and live show. Just like the Technical Ecstasy one. The remix in that set is actually pretty good. Almost sounds like a new mix from the 1970s.

Re-mix classic Records, Re-make classic games, etc. Remasters is different, because in theory, every new release in a new format is already a Remaster. I think Remasters are necessary (in music, games and movies) but RE-mix is optional and I really don't get it. But I understand that a lot of people (most people that got his ears really used to new mix patterns) usually ate starving for new remixes or even re-recordings. The original BORN AGAIN had one of the most bizarre mixes ever. It's sounds like a implosion haha. But IT WORKS. Incredibly atmosphere. I like that "wrong" guitar tone and the blurriness of everything. It's incredible how 83/84 Metal records sounds different between each other. It's something that I surely missing since Andy Sneap find the fine tuning of his original mix ideas, between the end of 2001 and 2003 on records like Kreator's Violent Revolution or Arch Enemy, Anthems of Rebellion. At that time I love it, but I grow tired of the padronization very fast.

That's not how they reacted to me in 2007, but the beer was good.
I think it's more that he doesn't consider it Sabbath. He doesn't see Cross Purposes as Sabbath, either, but says it's good.
