Default slope is just a setting in the Node Controller options.
For the Alley Cat area, you could call a place O'Malltea... named after O'Malley, the Alley Cat from the Aristocats, but more... tea-ified. If that's a term? Now I'm wondering if Teaification is the terminology of choice for making names more tea adjacent.

Never seen a police station fit so well into an area, both in size and looks. Omg when it was placed, it was beyond perfect.
If you don't want the financial buildings to get too high, just limit them at the height you prefer by clicking the Historical Bulding thing.
I alsp suggest you don't put high rise towers beside eachother but let at best the same size without anyting between them (so between 3x3 or 4x4 with a little plaza or a few props, or if you feel like it, a low lever building from another RCI branch. With financial districts, try to have the same root style building in the same block with only the center buildings on a street be one lever higher.
Though for the whole district it is much more easier just to use the Highrise ban policy as a medium density area. It makes it look more realistic when going from low to high density areas.

Level two buildings weren’t so bad in that area but those level threes…so much repetition and just seem to tall. No matter what love watching the videos. Great editing.

Not a fan of your new highway junction.
It's super close to the interchange and it feels rushed.
I think you can get more creative by moving the highways away from each other and have a left hand exit would be interesting.
Maybe split the to trams
So the brown/yellow one is a collector and doesn’t go in to the pedestrian area.
Then you also avoid it getting too long🎄🎄

uh Biffa, just wondering, where you placed the new off ramp, there is also one coming on the node before and since you usually place hugos for oncoming on highways, maybe sheck if those not coming from the on ramp can get to the new off ramp... ehh.. you know what i mean, right? 😅

Access to the financial district is a great idea. Instead of putting a few ramps before and after the interchange, perhaps bulking up the interchange and weaving in more ramps would be more in line with what would happen? The interchange is already floating pretty high, so going down with a few access ramps may be possible.
I kind of want to try it myself now.

Biffa, I think u have trash problem because you upgraded the way of access (Road with Tram) to Pedestrian with Tram, so the garbage trucks can`t pass. ( See 9.:52 )

A glass sky box topping an old stone building! Come on Colossal Order/Paradox you can do better than that ? Having highway access to & from the financial district is good.
Instead of waiting til you purchase the next square over, you could separate the highway a bit and have an on-ramp come up between them, joining the highway from the left lane.
You can still build the highway access you envisioned after you unlock the next square, but don't have to wait til then to provide access around the financial district.

We have quite a bit of left lane exits here in LA, some are freeway to freeway and some are streets
@@tj4263 Freeway to Freeway are pretty common. Left lane exits and on-ramps for city streets seem to be far less common, especially outside of the major cities/metropolitan areas like L.A., Chicago, New York, etc.
Within a 35 mile radius of me (largest metro area near me is about 500k pop), I'm only aware of 3 uses of left lane access to/from city streets.
One, both on & off ramps are on the left, the 2nd only the on ramp comes in from the left, the 3rd only the exit is on the left.
Not common, but also not unheard of, so I suggested it to Biffa.
Not gonna lie those upgraded financial buildings are hella ugly... who ever designed those was sleeping on the job that day 🤣
You should make a district with detached American houses in the mountains without the grid for the roads with a little park. I would really like that.
I miss the days of free trials being free, and not an optional refund later, which was most likely in the agreement before hand anyways. 😔
How about anarchying a pathway from the new high school to the tram turn around point?

If you want to make a quay wall flat, or raise the height, then you can just set the heights of the end points, and then use multitool to smooth the slope in between. If the ends are at the same height, it will level out the quay wall (all slopes = 0). That's faster and less frustrating than selecting all the nodes manually.
I think the financial district definitely belongs in the skyscraper/high rise/downtown section of the map. Like it would be in a major city

I noticed you have your new Financial District off ramp right close to the system interchange of the two freeways. Cars on the highway coming out of the town centre will have to fight traffic coming off the bridge to reach their exit. If you remember your Mass Transit DLC "Fix the Traffic" challenge (Appletown) the traffic going from one side of town to the other caused the traffic on the main highway to go all horky borky 😁😉
He does traffic fixes. Of course, he creates the traffic problems first. XD

YO this river reminds me of BY THE DAM SCENARIO. Could you try to do it again? I think you were suposed to build walls under the bridge after putting some dirt here and there and dig out 2 channels under the highest part of the bridge and then you have slightly more space but also way more atractive properties on the bank of the river. Reminds me was a strong word as I literaly just finished watching by the dam scenario. I started playing the game 12 hours ago and I just really want to see by the dam scenario won but I'm pretty sure I don't have the skill yet.

Hello Biffa!!! quick question, my city was working all well and good with the same mods you have here in this city, however, I purchased the new DLC Financial Districts and now im getting the array out of range error. Did you get the same error or maybe an idea on what is causing it?

Not sure how you could love the sad looking tops. This game is how many years old? And thats what they could come upwith.
The bottom part of the financial district is perfect. Then they do simple lines /sqare glazing like its an after/ lack of thought or time because they dont compliment the lower historical buildings in anyway.

I just want to let you know if you didnt already. You are building Cincinnati lol. It looks just like it even with the placement of the stadium it's crazy.
I went and added up all the DLC for xbox and its around £250 to buy it all, you can save a little with packs and such but that's why my city will never be this nice :(
It seems like after disconnecting your two halves of pedestrian district it stopped working, you can see it on land value, it was a lot higher before disconnecting (14:45) and that probably also caused the trash problem.

Why not connecting the roads at the end? You could connect both districts with a tram road instead of two separate tram lanes like you had at the beginning. And I think the garbage problem comes from the normal road connecting to a pedestrian road, maybe the normal garbage can't access the pier.

Som of those buildings aren’t actually connected to garbage facilities via real roads. You put in enough road so it let you place them, but that road is connected at both ends to ped roads where garbage trucks can’t go. Ped trucks can’t help cause it’s not really in their area.

I would have to say I am far from convinced about the new building in the finance area, not your fault obviously but they come across as something that was very rushed in their development and developed by a 6 year old

For the highway junction into the financial area, your possibly better off turning the three-way junction into a 4-way junction with the new section being an exit into the financial area.

Biffa, you had 2-tram lines 15:23, you would leave one where it is and get the 2nd one up to the financial hub.

BRO fix the pier in the thumbnail I almost fell off and it gave me a heart attack!
Now that this area is the most dense of all, you should again have mass transit (tram ? metro ?) also with a stop in front of the stadium.
