TLDR this movie is doing what every sequel should do AKA make everything bigger and better from the stacks, the story, and of course most importantly the scares which will be coming from double the amount of killer animatronics then last time
Especially since the first movie was so lackluster in the horror element, I think if they progressively make the movies more terrifying that could honestly be the only realistic way I could see them upping the anty when we finally get to the third movie with Springtrap since he's a walking corpse, if they toned that down cause of the rating, that will be the biggest let down

So, just going to put my little theory out there. With how both Matthew Lillard and, more so, Josh Hutcherson have been talking in interviews, I really wouldn't be surprised if they kill Mike by the end of the second movie and then maybe give the third movie a decent time jump like 5-8 years later or something of that nature with a grown Abby taking the main character wheel.
I have high hopes the sequel will be better than the first movie. While the first one was decent, I wasn’t really scared, I was more on the scale of being uneasy. Plus, it did feel like there were some thing that felt unnecessary, but at the same time, I’m not too bothered. Overall, I’m excited to see the first teaser trailer, and I’m excited to see how Mathew Lillard is gonna nail his role as William Afton!!!!! 😱😀👍

They probably have enough money to put stuff in theatres. As long as the movie is accessible, memeable, and has clippable moments and scares, it could potentially be a success.
Abby will definitely survive. Killing a child is too harsh and bold. In addition, if the rumors that Blumhouse wants to continue after the 3rd part, and bring Abby to the title role, are true, then they will try to keep her. Mike is an interesting candidate. Especially if you try to fit the resurrection plot to the films. It's pointless to kill Vanessa. This is a direct connection with William (like the original Michael), and the possibility of adapting modern games should not be denied). But Jeremy is a special case. He could well turn out to be a victim, and become a kind of confirmation of theories about the Bite-87)/
I think that the movie will be like Fear Street 2 where the movie is a sequel but the story is a prequel, aka, it's going to be Jeremy Fitzgerald telling Mike about his experience at the FNAF 2 location and that's going to be the entire 2nd movie, leaving room for FNAF 3 to be the 3rd movie to wrap up the FNAF movie storyline. Oh and the 2nd movie will be a Christmas movie and the 3rd movie will be a Halloween movie.
The thing I think everyone can agree on is that Scott is amazing when it comes to feedback. He's making the second movie better than the first one based on feedback, he made FNaF 4 due to people not liking FNaF 3, he even scrapped an entire Roblox game because people said it wasn't fun, with the temp assets being far from the only reason people hated it, with him telling them that they're trying from scratch.
I am looking forward to the fnaf 2 movie and very excited to see withered Bonnie and toy Bonnie and maybe SpringBonnie and William Afton in the movie 💙💛

Im actually more excited to see the second movie then I was for the first since knowing they'll be bringing in the withers and the toys almost guarantees that the movie will be scarier, you can't have though animatronics act like children like the ones in the first game, you'll not only ruin the movie but at that point it just wouldn't be fun to watch when you know their toning it down blatantly for a younger audience, which granted they will anyways more then likely, but I at least hope they'll push the rating to its absolute limit to justify it

Why is Abby there, again for those scenes? The animatronics are actually cute, sweet and kind, they are also children and want to play with Abby. I came to see how the animatronics catch new victims, and not their dramatic relationship with Abby. And damn, this will be PG-13 again. I thought they learned from their mistakes, I thought they would make a second film the way it should be, but it looks like it will be crap for kids, just like the first film.
Abby was a key character in the first film, of course she was gonna return, and her friendship with the animatronics wasn't the entirety of the first film, and it wouldn't have made sense for them to attack Abby when she's a kid, and the animatronics are kids themselves. Also, the rating is not gonna ruin the movie, when will you people learn that a rating doesn't determine a film's quality? FNaF is a T-rated series, so an R rating wouldn't make sense. The sequel will focus more on horror regardless of the rating.

The animatronics only acted childish in the fort scene, and that scene is only a small portion of the movie.
