There could have been a option 3 find a 3ltr twin turbo engine stick it shogun sport not sure about flywheel alterations but the bay should be large enough. To the car itself looks really solid and looks like it last another 15 or so years well done mitsubishi and you
I've got a 2006 Shogun Sport and they do sit flat as long as you remove the headrests. I know this because I've slept in the back and it definitely sits flush and completely flat
What a great practical work horse and the condition of the leather seats look amazing for the age 👍 After watching you trundle around the field, I'm sure you will go for a Range Rover next 😉
Great video and a honest review... i have a 2015 shogun 3.2 auto and i love it.. it starts first time every time what more can I ask for.. plus it does exactly what it says on the packet..cheers
Been loving your content recently mate also what sort of mpg do you get around our local roads and what's she like up hills considering we have plenty of them 😁💯 , great video mate 👌🤙
Like I mention in the video, best I ever got was a roadtrip to Scotland where I saw 27mpg but general use around our local, hilly roads, it only returns low 20’s.
@@DanSargeant-420 I’d always hoped it’d crack 30mpg on a long run, but never got near that figure. But as it wasn’t a daily, reliability was more important than its mpg and for that I couldn’t complain 👍🏻
@@FastandFun that's fair enough mate and yes I agree the main reason I asked is because I'd use one for work it's just being Jap it's more reliable than a landrover 😁
Hello! I am a 28 year old from Romania and I always loved cars in general. I am looking to buy a Mitsubishi Shogun (Pajero as it is called in our country). I am living in a mountain town and I want to start overlanding and going off road. I am thinking what to chose between a big pajero, pajero sport and a L200. I mainly want to use it for this as I own a Suzuki S-Cross to go on trips and arround the country As you owned various models what would you recommend. And also do you think the 2.5 diesel engine has enough power? (Not trying to do anything extreme)
@@VictorGrigoras-k3n depends what you want to do with it. The advantage of the SS was that it’s much smaller than the full fat shogun/pajero. For towing I’d always go full fat shogun. If you want something a bit smaller the the SS could be a good choice. The 2.5TD is quite a slow and unrefined unit. If you’re not going to do mega miles it may be better going 3.0 V6.
@@FastandFunThank you for taking your time to respond. I just want to explore nature (some forest trails) and take enough kit with me for camping. The 3.0 is very high tax in my country. It's about 800€ for the state and 1k euro for insurance. I have a medium income (1,2k a month) so i think it would be too much. A 2.5 will cost me arround 1k/year taxes and insurance. That is why I was so curious about capabilities
Great vid Rich what every rural home should have in the garage. We have a 2007 L200 K74 (Lifted) which has been awesome with the recent floods.

on the left hand drive versions there is a rest foot platform for clutch foot
My seats fold flat you just have to to fold seat base first.

Only time will tell on the replacement 🤔

I can't find a car that looks as good as the Shogun sport and I own a BMW X5 4.6is Alpina.
I get 32mpg at a constany 65mph.
On a long run my best is 26-27mpg!

@@FastandFun I seen that after I commented sorry mate lol and to be fair that's decent for the size of the truck and the engine

@@VictorGrigoras-k3n that’s v expensive 😬 the 2.5TD will be fine. Just don’t expect to beat anyone away from the lights! 😂
@@FastandFun Thank you vrey much! All the best 👍
is there a rear diff lock?
No, not on the Shogun Sport, just H/L ratio and 2/4WD
