    incredible video! Insane insights and very good editing. Impressive how naturally and confident you are infront of the camera. The story telling, pace and order are well adjusted with the clips. I am very surprised that a "tiny" (for now) channel produces something this good. Mad strong climber and cool channel to look forward to!
    Cheers from Vienna

    hey Toby, when you tear the skin on your fingertips, what do you usually do for a speedy recovery? Also, great video, you’re stronger than ever!

    Hey Toby, first off, congrats on a podium placement in SLC! awesome job!!! Secondly, I'm heading to Tokyo for a month and a half and was wondering if the B-Pump gym you showed in the video, which looks really awesome and looks like it has really well-set climbs, is worth going to, or if there is another gym that is possibly better. Thanks!

      Hey, thank you!! I would definitely recommend Bpump okigubo. Probably the best gym in Tokyo with a complete range of levels/ styles. Hope you have a good trip!

    Great videos Toby, interesting stuff! I noticed some of the holds on the MB behind you aren't set facing the standard direction (e.g. D9, I12, D1, F4, A5), is there a reason for that or did they just spin? Also, the 2017 set tends to get a bit of criticism compared to the other MB sets, what are your thoughts on the board in general? Thanks and good luck for the next comps!

    • @TobyClimbing
      @TobyClimbing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Ah I’ve had this board up in the garden for a while and haven’t used it as a MB in a while so they probably just spun!

    I'm glad you enjoyed the B-Pump problems. I've been in Japan for twenty years, and Ogikubo until last year used to be my local wall. The setting quality is great from beginners' 9th kyu upwards and I recommend it to anyone who visits Tokyo. But prepare to feel sandbagged.

    What do you think the UK has to do to adapt to the level that B-Pump operates at? Obviously Unit E is where you guys train, would you say it's too easy or the range of holds isn't good enough? Interesting that many GB climbers find the gyms abroad better to train at. Having seen most of them I can see why!

    Love the vids man. I’ve noticed you use compression clothing in some of your recent try-hard vids as well, like the kilter one. Just wondering, are you still wearing compression garments pretty frequently? If so, when do you use them- during warm up, active training, immediate recovery, rest days… or mainly just around air travel? How do they help? Would love to hear your perspective. Thanks for your time man and keep it up will be rooting for you this summer :)
