As a child in the 1960s, I loved this music. I attended a great Halloween costume party last year dressed as kind of a smarmy, 60s "Casanova" martini guy, complete with a smoking jacket, ascot, dress slacks, cigarette holder and martini glass. I played this music through a small, wireless speaker in my pocket all during the party. Needless to say, I won the costume contest. I've been playing this music at home for relaxation ever since. I grew up in the 60's. I love this easy listening music. Seems like the music in the stores today get on my nerves with the high pitched, whiny voices that sounds horrible. I just want to get my shopping done and get out as quickly as I can due to the lousy music.
indeed, today's mainstream music is absolutely horrendous, between all the incoherent mumbling, deplorable lyrics, and uninspired background instrumentals.
I had the retro furniture, a martini shaker in a rosewood box, I mow the grass in a black suit, all I needed was this soundtrack to become a true gentleman...thank you!

Haha my mother worked at Reader's digest for 17 years and I worked there for 2 years. They used give away a lot of these cassettes and I really enjoyed the lounge music plus they had cassettes of music of 78 records from the 1910s and 20s
I've always loved this music and era. As i grieve the loss of my Mum end of 2020 kitch and seeburg sounds helps as she loved this sound and loved living through the era. I miss you and love you so much Mum X

I'm a car hauler and transport cars all over the USA and my job is manic and stressful especially in the auction parking lot where all the transporters are working like crazy filling there 18 wheelers with cars, me listening this music is the tranquility I give my self in the mist of total chaos and carnage.

I'm 59 and this music makes me feel like I'm trapped in an episode of "Bewitched". What a wonderful place to be trapped! I had a huge crush on Elizabeth Montgomery as a kid,lol. 🙂

Thank you reminds me of CA sunset beach walks with my parents in the 1970s. Dad loved Bert Backerack probably miss spelled. I got an s. ton of work dumped on me for Memorial Day weekend by two colleagues just back from vacay so this music soothes my resentment that these two guys asked for documents from agencies that are closed as of yesterday at noon and not open til Tuesday so my report is even more galling. The report is due Tuesday so stupid when I'm dealing with agencies that can't be reached til day of my deadline. I'm glad we got bad weather today. Makes working inside less sucky.
Also a living room that would go with this music would be gold wall paper with mid century stars on it.a martini and every one would be dressed very well

We lived in Mass. for 20+ years and just moved back to New Orleans. I would take the sunsets off the NH coast any day. The sunrises at our old house on Winthrop Beach, MA were nothing short of miraculous. Have a cocktail for the rest of us here!
