    That torque tho 🤤 😍. Talk about busting them loose at 80-90 mph under boost lol

  • @ICONBADGTA

    There has to be someway to "OVERDRIVE" the impeller on the sc head to get boost up down low somehow quicker, then use the press valve to keep it at the boost level ya want...
    A man can dream can't he?!?

      There is. Check out my prototype Procharger boost controller on my channel.
      Eliminates broken belts and lifting the throttle somewhat if you need to pedal.
      I can make a pass and never lift the throttle when I lose traction.

    Richard I would love to see a gen vi bbc with the single torqstorm. I realize that it won't blow the dyno record but I'm interested in as an upgrade for my tow rig.

      im pretty sure hes made quite a few bbc videos, just look at the playlist on big blocks and raise up the power curve with how much boost you want too add, a single turbo would be a better option for a tow rig over a procharger they're more for street cars plus a turbo will be way cheaper than a procharger you can make your own turbo kit for 600 ish bucks if you shop smart and plan the build right

    Thank you for the information and time you spend on these videos. I am building an identical build and was curious if you can provide the comp cams part number for the cam used on the 383. I see the specs you posted however I can’t find the cam on Summit. I would really appreciate it.

    So if I used a centrifugal supercharger with the tpi intake manifold would that produce a flatter power curve?

    More Boost = More Better

  • @MrGaz084
    @MrGaz084 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Richard
    Are you able to make a centrifugal supercharger video that shows how much restriction is in a long intake length with lots of bends vs a small filter/large filter attached to the back of the supercharger and then a final power run with no filter.
    Always been curious, the internet is full of misleading information...some say it makes a difference others say it does not.

    Is there a rule of thumb for parasitic loss for a belt driven blower? I read where someone said it was about 10%. So a turbo making a certain HP at 10psi will make 10% more power than a blower at 10psi.

    • @richardholdener1727
      @richardholdener1727  ปีที่แล้ว

      the losses from the blower increase with the power output-not a strict percentage

    So how much Hp did the big block make on boost

  • @ecc5119
    @ecc5119 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You’re limited by a ratio of 3 times NA Power if the cam , heads, and blower will operate at the required rpm. If IAT’s are addressed appropriately with correct fuel properties. What ever the head & intake flow x the NA power calculation before going positive boost in the intake.

    • @james10739
      @james10739 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3 times sounds like a lot I mean that's got to be more than 30psi because what 29.something should get you to 3 time but the supercharger is going to eat some of that

    • @richardholdener1727
      @richardholdener1727  ปีที่แล้ว

      you can't make 3 times the power with either of these superchargers on these motors, and there is no artificial limit
