I Only Ate Golden Corral BUFFET For 24 HOURS CHALLENGE!

- ok so if you haven't been to Golden Corral basically it's a pretty cheap affordable Buffet restaurant and they serve tons of food from burgers to tacos to pizza and steak! so I decided to go to Golden Corral and do a 24 hour challenge where I eat at the buffet for 24 hours including breakfast lunch and dinner most of the food was good for being a budget buffet! which other restaurants or stores do you want me to review?

Really enjoy your videos. I'm 38 and spent a lot of time with my grandparents as a kid and we went to Golden Coral, Ryan's, and Bonanza. It's sad how buffet restaurants have declined in popularity even prior to Covid hitting them even harder. I really wish they'd make a comeback. Sometimes I just want to eat one big meal a day and eat a little bit of a many different things which a buffet perfectly allows for.

😊❤😊 We had a nice Golden CORRAL in my town, and knew owner. The meat was quality and most foods were great, my grandmother loved to take us there, so I grew up eating there alot. They are great for picking small amounts of many different things, I love that.
Unfortunately I think they might have been a casualty of the Great Recession because I remember the quality dropping sometime around the issue 2000s and they just never came back from that. That's weird to think though because I would have thought cheap restaurants that let you eat a lot would have been the go to during hard times.
One thing people have to remember. It's not like the buffets. From years ago I used to work at country buffet about 30 years ago and I can honestly say that almost everything was made scratch except for yes powdered mashed potatoes and they all do it but nowadays to cut down on labor. I'll bet you 90% of the product brought in this door is frozen. Either they deep fry it or bake it and that's the way it is
I loved OCB as a kid. I still think about their Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, house salad dressing, chocolate pudding, cinnamon rolls…I miss that place!

I don't know about now, but when I worked there in 2020 I would say 50% of it was frozen, not 90%. Still pretty good
I died laughing when you slapped your face over the pancakes I believe. Fun video!! Growing up we'd go visit my grandma in Brownwood, Texas and she always wanted to eat at the Golden Corral. I have a lot of memories of that place.

They closed the GC in my city, but as soon as I saw the turkey and gravy, I remember that actually being really good. Mainly because it was one of the only items that was ever seasoned correctly. The best thing they have are the yeast rolls and honey butter!

Also, I have a Golden Coral in my hometown and you should have tried the rolls and honey butter and their roast is pretty good!

Most places don't use powdered egg, they use a liquid egg that comes in a carton, like milk! I know this because I am a chef. 😊

Growing up Golden corral was a real treat, like a fancier place to eat. It used to be not the best food of course, but gosh the memories were always great

I don’t know about the butter but traditionally, cornbread in the south doesn’t have any sugar in it and it’s quite dry. It’s what my grandma used to make.
Fried Chairs I’m from the south, I use my grandmother’s recipe , we use white cornmeal, bacon 🥓 drippings, eggs 🥚 and whole fat buttermilk, so delectable

Our golden corral breakfast is only on Saturday and Sunday, and its at 7am and the whole buffet is breakfast foods. They have a good stuffed french toast and cheesy hashbrowns casserole. their breakfast food is way better than their dinner food. I wish it was 5 days a week here.
And for the burger, you can go over and get lettuce, tomatoes, and onions off the salad bar. The ketchup and mustard should have been at the table.

I always love your videos! Thoroughly enjoyed your thoughts and opinions! I've only been to one Golden Corral when visiting Twin Falls, ID, several years ago and was pretty impressed. There's just one locally here in Portland, OR, across the bridge in Vancouver, WA, but haven't been to that one yet. Going to a pub today to try their Irish Stew in a sourdough Bread Bowl. I love watching these videos, we don't have all you can eat buffets where I'm from. I think it's my dream to go to one 😂
I imagined those pancakes sliding off the plate like the cookies at one of your hotel videos. However, when I was a child, we would go to Golden Corral every Sunday right before going to the theater to watch a movie. At that point in time, the buffet was one serving island and a salad bar with desserts and a separate minibar for ice-cream and topping. But when you first came in, you grabbed the tray, get your silverware, napkins, lemon, and drink, however you ordered if you wanted the buffet or a n actual meal. My mom got steak, father had the steak and chicken tenders, I had the chicken tenders with fries and baked potatoe. I would cut all my tenders up first before eating anything. One waitress pointed it out and saying that I must have been a very patient person. I would eat each item one at a time. However, the waitresses would remember me weekly by the ice-cream Sundays that I made. Little more than ice-cream in the bowl and then just about some of all of the toppings. It would be piled high past the top of the edge. My father didn't mind as long as I ate it all and didn't waste any.

I love the G Corral. Tip of the day, wear a non-zip hoodie with the pocket in the middle for the hands and bring a small sandwich bag to sneak a pocket desert for later (just one snack like a Rice Crispy Treat or Brownie, no more, I'm ghetto, not that ghetto - Detroit Hustles Harder)
Next time you go - Salad Bar and the Soups, especially corn chowder - 10 out of 10
Mac and cheese - 10 out of 10
Stuffing (or dressing) 10 out of 10.
I'm not much of a meat guy at a buffet, but I am a sucker for the sides. I love this place. Chocolate Milk too is fire, as is the soft serve that's half chocolate, half vanilla.
I like my bacon slightly undercooked and my eggs with a hard yolk. No runny eggs for this queen.
