This guy ain’t bad is he (Lewis-Skelly is pretty good, too!). Top video as per usual Harv. The attention to detail, clarity of expression, and tactical insight is in a class of its own. ❤
Could you do a video on Nwaneri potentially becoming a number 9? Once I heard Arteta mention it, and honestly, in my eyes, it makes so much sense. He could legit become an Aguero-like player. He's 5'10-11, at only 17, has insane technical ability, and whenever he plays, he mostly focuses on scoring rather than creating, from what I've noticed. Arteta described 'his eye for goal,' and I really see it. But maybe I'm wrong. What are your thoughts?
I would love for Nwaneri to be trained as a 9. His goal scoring instincts combined with all around play would turn him into a higher ceiling version of the Jesus with finishing everyone wants to have. Nwaneri at the 9 would also leave room for Dowman to take up the long term role of the left 8 in midfield.
@ yeah that was so brave. You can see how confident he is becoming the more he's getting games. He's showing more of himself. Felt like he was playing within himself when he 1st came in the team.
I’m maybe too stuck in my own POV but I see MLS as the perfect CDM. Someone who wants to recover and protect the ball before turning to face the opposing goal and deliver a positive pass forwards. Rather than seeing him as the better Zinchenko replacement, I see him more as the heir to the Partey role as sole #6 or part of a double pivot. I would love to see how we flow with Calafiori, MLS, and Rice all on the pitch at the same time.
MLS is going places. Along with Nwaneri, so heartwarming to see two of our own start making their break into the team. Here's to 2025 and hopefully some trophies - I believe!
Myles’ calmness under provocation (think Delap) and sheer confidence in his ability is astonishing for an 18 yo. A legend in the making? Let’s hope so.
How unfazed he is…certianly one of his lost impressive traits, despite being naturally quite a boisterous, gung-ho player. Hes approached first team duties so maturely.
Thanks again mate! I think it’s physical, but also more pathway, with Ethan’s chance w Martin out clearly making Mikel think twice because of the responsibility of the role. They are both blessed physically in my opinion, which makes scaling available. I look at Zaire-Emery minutes for PSG last season and think Nwaneri is capable of that. Although he is now injured so maybe not that many 😂
MLS has the Jack Wilshere / Aaron Ramsey trait. They used to “press bait” before press became the norm. The problem is that is expose him tackles that could potentially cause injuries. Similar to what hindered his predecessors…. I hope he does rely on it as much as Wilshere did
He’s got a top environment around him to have his minutes and breakthrough really well controlled and managed. Also doesn’t have the same bow legs as Wilshere so fingers crossed good on that front!
Why dont we play more in between the lines when going wide become redundant. Every time Odegaard drove through the middle of the pitch it caused problems. When I was watching the game I noticed nobody wanted to drop into those gaps it’s almost like we don’t have anyone who plays in that 10 position or take that responsibility of carrying the ball and taking on players through the middle of the pitch. I think that’s what we lack the most maybe that’s style of play problem more than a player problem possibly
Because you can't play between the lines when 80% of your opponents have 10 players in their half/box. It's also the reason Arsenal are not taking many shots from outside the box. Because it's pointless when you have 3 defenders in front of you.
@ but Odegaard did make 2 runs into the box and it created chances and we have players that can be more creative I just think we aren’t trying hard enough.
@@goatsneeze it will happen, yes, but you can't rely on it to win games. There is a reason you don't see those slaloms where a player takes on 5 players and scores very often. There is also a reason why you very rarely see line splitting passes. Because to do that, you need your opponents to spread out, either horizontally or vertically or both. Ipswich and Everton had no intention to score/win whatsoever. They were looking for a 0:0 and perhaps score from a corner or a very bad mistake by the opponents. And when you're playing a team like that who is organized and willing to work for it, it becomes very difficult for any side. Arsenal did very little wrong in this game overall. They created chances, opened them up on several occasions, didn't let them get out of their box. It's the finishing that let them down. If it was 2:0 at halftime, Ipswich would have opened up and they would have conceded more. At 1:0 it was always in balance and you would need to be dumb to attack recklessly IF you are as sure defensively as Arsenal are.
Yes Ö was told to carry forward in 2nd half. It looks good to watch! Carrying into the box leads to more turn overs but has potential of more chaos & penalties.
I think the thing with Fulham was: MLS had literally just come back from an injury, Mikel said he wasn’t fully fit-so I don’t have many complains on that one. Especially considering Fulham A isn’t the ideal case to throw him in, so there is enough there to say fair enough. However, the Rice usage, Partey at full back, lack of dynamism, and lack of width options in general created some horrid dynamics so on other decisions criticism is more than fair. Saying all this having a full fit squad would have helped eradicate all that discussion 😭😭😭
I could be wrong but mls makes me second guess wanting edu camavinga They play the same position LCM box to box can also play LB. Camavinga is better when faced 1v1. If mls can improve his final 3rd play could he stack up to a freak like camavinga?
As I said last vid, I think Nelli is my preferred option for game states that are not Ipswich/Everton. His replacement needs to be a final third creator (either a 1v1 specialist from wide or someone who can lock pick with crosses, combinations, rotations etc). Jesus/Sterling are our best 1v1 breakers, Ethan can do it but needs real support from Timber at Rb without a runner in Odegaard, and probably some Jesus rotations too. If we can get him inside enough it can work, but I would be looking at using Sterling there when he returns (or Jesus if we move away from the diamond)
Kids a real talent, I'd like to see him spray a few more longer passes/ switches across pitch and develop his passing etc. kids ceiling is a joke considering how good he is now.
Spot on. He’s developed a range in the academy, and some of the thought of playing him lower for now is to give him that platform of control. Hes on a really good pathway.
Awesome vid (as usual), Harvey. How do you think the tactics change if/when Cala gets back into the squad? Do you think we stick with this diamond shape in midfield? Where does Calafiori fit in there with how dynamic he can be in possession
I think long term with where we can elevate the squad Cala has long term future at LCB, but he can certainly move into the LCM in the diamond, doing pretty much the same role as Miles but with added final third impact. Not sure if we stick with it. Think it’s just another option to go with. Our next marquee signing will determine what the main, base system is. But we will always be flexible.
Hahaha 😂😂 The comments here I understand why they call out fan base delusional. Don't be bitter the kid is good but read the comments here 😂😂reminds me that humility is important
This boy was playing as defensive midfielder at academy, Arsenal wasted money on Mikel marino (another Fabio Vieri), they shoud have trusted this boy in 1st place and spend the money on striker.
MLS will be moved into midfield eventually. Calafiori is also great cover for gabriel. Kiwior will be gone in the summer. Calafiori was a good buy. We need competition and depth
This guy ain’t bad is he (Lewis-Skelly is pretty good, too!). Top video as per usual Harv. The attention to detail, clarity of expression, and tactical insight is in a class of its own. ❤
I Thought so too very good breakdown
even partey learned his trade as an right back, wenger did the same with Coquelin before he moved him into midfield
And Saka

He's 5'9"
The turn on Phillips was so good, it took 4 players out of the game. He's a game breaker. Unreal talent.
Joke wasn’t it? Fact it was on his right foot, too. He’s got it.

I think he can, but not now, depends on Rice and his development as well
Just play MLS as the left 8, next season.
@@charles9489 MLS or Rice ? Or Zinny
Great breakdown, Harvey. I've seen a few videos on MLS, but this one is the best
Very kind of you to say. Thanks so much ❤️
MLS is going places. Along with Nwaneri, so heartwarming to see two of our own start making their break into the team. Here's to 2025 and hopefully some trophies - I believe!

Arsenal is going places, quote me!
😂
As always but are we winning things 🤔
Great show mate
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed ❤️

Yes that impressed me a lot. Then again, the kid stood up to Haaland calmly on his PL debut, signs were there right from the start 😂
I totally agree that Lewis-Kelly is a good player. He needs to gain some confidence to shoot from a distance.
Best young inverted lb of this generation. Kid got ballon d'or potential
Skelly is such an intelligent beast 💪🙏
Awesome as usual. Think the reason he is now ahead of Ethan is his fast physical development……Ethan’s time will come!

Great analysis about MLS. still regreting Mikel didn't give him a chance during Fulham game and keep the balance.

From Max Dowman, Nwaneri and Skelly, and Saka as the model player - AFC in good shape for the next decade or so.
Great video, Harvey.
Top man Leon! Thanks so much
@harveygration What do you think of Miles in the left 8 to try and get the best out of Martinelli again?
Not related to your video, but what do you think nwaneri as saka replacement instead of martinelli.

Can you do a video on Arsenal January transfer window and who they should get or who you would want to get
Yes.
Yang King 👑
I'm surprised 4thGenna isn't in here hating
Just what the docs ordered.
I think Odegard plays better with Oartey though

He might be the left 8 we lack
Havertz in midfield is back, that's concerning
Old football was the best. The robotic tactics kills naturals. NO ONE CANT DENY THIS. FREEDOM PLS ARSENAL
top vid
Thanks Remy! ❤️
we should try him in midfield ........
He’s eventually going to end up as a pure LCM. But for now, this inverted lb pathway is good for him to also develop his game of control from deeper.
we should, but is it worth the risk in this critical part of the season? I don't think so
He is not frightened to put in a fast, aggressive forward pass.
That bravery is something he really adds to us.
Starboy gets injured, another starboy emerges 😂
I want B back already tho 😞
Whilst Nwaneri is the star boy, I think MLS will be the one who will break into the first xi.
Hahaha 😂😂 The comments here I understand why they call out fan base delusional.
Don't be bitter the kid is good but read the comments here 😂😂reminds me that humility is important
I think he could be a 6... Hardest position on the pitch
Think he is best as a LCM long term IMO. But as part of a double pivot, sure.
Against Preston, y not play miles n nwarrie in mid field with a strong defence????? Expose our truths aka talent
Stop this unnecessary hype and let the boy grow
This boy was playing as defensive midfielder at academy, Arsenal wasted money on Mikel marino (another Fabio Vieri), they shoud have trusted this boy in 1st place and spend the money on striker.
We need to relax, he’s not at a top level yet
We wasted so much money on calafiori when we have our own gems.
MLS will be moved into midfield eventually. Calafiori is also great cover for gabriel. Kiwior will be gone in the summer. Calafiori was a good buy. We need competition and depth
Arsenal could not depends on him alone to win titles. They all need time to grow and rest
😂😂😂what a nonsense comment 🤣 😜
Nah. Especially when there is a good chance neither of them end up as a LB. Love Cala big time
@harveygrationwhere do you see cala in a long run
Liverpool doing better. Jones, TAA, Bradley and the GK. They've been producing recently more than Arsenal.
Hale end boys again!❤
