@@hugh_hancock it’s 100% a mental filler, instead of taking a second to find what to say you fill it with umm. I promise way less people would notice a slightly long pause
Those tools will last you a life time. The old craftsman stuff would too, if it was craftsman USA. Gearwrench is probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to getting professional grade tools for mid level tool money. Wise choice! Now you can pass that old craftsman kit on to future generations.
I’m absolutely loving them so far! And the old craftsman set is riding around in my truck toolbox for now until the kids get older, then I can upgrade my truck tool 😁! Thanks for watching!
Card bord works pretty good to keep draw’s clean and easy to change out Learn to keep every tool in its place and a place for every thing It will save you money because you can check your tools before the vehicle leaves the shop I love looking for tools down the road from a shop
That’s a great idea, my old craftsman set with the molded trays, I’ve only lost one socket out of it (1/4in socket 1/4drive) bc it fell behind the engine and the firewall. But the designated slots for each tool make it easy to keep track of all of them.
Nice starter stuff yet I’ve been mechanic for 57 years and retired to full time small engine mechanic You’ll AllWAYS be buying tools and the new stuff Got to love it to stay in it
Gearwrench as good as you will get. I bought the gearwrench rolling box and it had the foam socket trays in it. well organised from Gearwrench. Love their ratcheting wrenches !
Nice setup man! I want one of those US General boxes now to re-organize my tools in my home electronics lab. I've got small toolboxes stacked on top of small toolboxes now, and stuff scattered all over my bench. Would be sweet to pick up one of those boxes and centralize everything.
That was really cool. Loved that. I've got some new gearwrench ratcheting wrenches and they're pretty nice at a really great price! Was looking at that 5 drawer. It was on sale for Black Friday and the series 3s are coming out soon so they'll be on clearance for even lower very soon.
Yes it is a great box and tools, I’m loving mine and using the crap out of them! I would love to do the stacked box mod to give me a little more space! Thanks for watching!
@@hugh_hancock- keep your eyes peeled because I think the 6 drawer full bank cart will be on clearance after the first of the year. Saw some SEMA vids with HF and the Series 3, 6 drawer full bank is supposed to be released in early 2024.
Right on man! I lean towards tekton, gearwrench, knipex and carlyle my self. The gearwrench and carlyle are fantastic since just like my old harbor freight stuff I got before becoming a apprentice technician I can take them to a nappa if they break and have one ordered and usually if not replaced that same day it is replaced in no more then 3 days. My home box has also slowly been rotated out of my old HF stuff with the same tools I use at work and the plan is that set will likely go to one of my children or I guess a niece or nephew who appreciate them if I don't have kids or my kids don't care about them. Having more napa autoparts stores then HF tools make it convenient to have carlyle and gearwrench since usually one of the 6 stores driving distance away will typically have a replacement for my broken tools. I don't know if all Napas warranty gearwrench but m8ne are all owned by the same guy so they do.
Sweet man, and yea that’s the good thing about tools is you can pass them down, if my son or daughter is anything like me they will take them over anyways haha

I work in a shop. I've recently started investing in GearWrench and fallen in love with the brand. I was originally investing in Craftsman but have gradually transitioned. A lot of the people in my shop have Snap-On, Cornwell, Mac, and Matco. Pretty much the main tool truck brands. I've handled many of their tools working under different techs as an apprentice. I have to say, a lot of my GearWrench feels very similar to those tools. I'm not really interested in spending my money on the tool trucks because I feel like there are many other tool brands that offer similar quality that I can get elsewhere for a fraction of the price. GearWrench has become my favorite.
I agree for sure! I have used some snap on stuff where I work as well and gearwrench definitely feels just as good! I will say you can’t beat a snap-on digital torque wrench though, if you know of something just as good but cheaper let me know because I need one!
Haven’t had the chance to use it yet. I am planning on doing a video comparing the Gearwrench to a few other brands like snap on, paramount, and any others I can get my hands on here soon.
and I haven't used them yet but I bought the OEM tools green and black in all three drive sizes but they are not shallow, mid length and deep, but just shallow and deep
Honestly the full bank would be nice having drawers all the way down, only looked at it in stores but I could justify the $600 price tag, considering I got mine on sale for like $220 if I remember correctly. I am considering doing the 10 drawer modification on my box. Thanks for watching!
Nice set up 👍👍 Just upgraded my tool box couple months back. I went with over 50% gearwrench stuff. Love there ratchets, have had good experience with them. Tekton for sockets and combination wrenches. Wiha for pliers, screwdrivers Knipex self explanatory Draper screwdrivers and bits Williams for there ratcheting screwdriver, (love that thing)
@@hugh_hancock knipex cobra pliers are awesome. I love my gearwrench tools also. Anything that comes from there Taiwan plant (90% of there stuff) is excellent quality.
