"I hope my students beat me"... The words of an enlightened Sensei. Japanese humility is awesome. What a great story.
What an inspiring athlete! Incredible that he is still able to defeat professional athletes at the highest level at his age.
👍👍
I got to meet him in the USA. He's so cool. A great example of how to continue to evolve as a person and a judoka and keep the joy for a challenging sport
I cannot tell you how much I admire you and what an inspiration you are.
I’m writing this on my 48th birthday!
Went to his dojo in 2023 and stuck out like a sore thumb didn’t even know how to tie my belt, he had stopped the class and explained to me it’s only a training dojo. I felt so embarrassed but he was able to teach me a few things he’s a nice man and a great teacher. Wish he can have more fundamental classes!
I was lucky to meet him in Ecuador last year. Truly humble guy, truly inspiring story!
I love this kind of interview. I love this kind of life and I love this kind of persistance! Judo is fantastic.
don't feel shame, you are an inspiration, fighting at the age of 40 is not easy. I am 46 and this video gives me hope that i can still compete at a high level.
he's actually 47
True champion and judoka Great example for everybody out there doing judo
Love to see this kind of content !
My sensei really is a great role model and always wants us to push our limits during practice
