- In this episode I discuss marking out circles and radii, as well as going through the process of making and replacing a sill. I also show a couple of press tools I've made.
Music is by me as always.

Great stuff Tim. If I was doing the sill between door and wheel on a Ute where that length is longer, how would you attach the upper return as it folds under the qtr panel and is covered by the rest of the sill piece. It appears on the Torana here that you didn’t actually weld it at all?
Thanks Poyda
Hiya. On the torana the top of the sill behind the door isn't a seam, like on an HQ ute for example, so it just gets welded to the top part of the quarter panel. With utes you can usually get access to the top of the sill/quarter seam from in the tray (most utes have removable inner panels in the tray) If you drill up from underneath where you cut the sill off, into the quarter panel part of the seam when the sill is off, you should be able to then plug weld that seam together from the top, inside the quarter panel. Does that make sense?

Yes makes sense. Thanks Tim I buy those rare spares sills and wondered how on earth you could attach that return. It'll be fun welding in that cavity. One other hard piece to make is the cupped jacking point under the Ute sill. Looks too deep for a dimple die. I put in end if pipe and hammered in but came out pretty thin. Any thoughts or video be appreciated. I'm inspired by your skill with simple tools.
