Gas prices were low, food prices was still affordable, housing prices was below $300,000 there was no such thing as a Carbon Tax it didn't exist 10 years ago. This is clear indication it's time to wake up and face reality, our economy has gone downhill and it's all because of one 🤡 that caused it.

    "Homelessness is a growing concern"
People are homeless because income has been stagnant for 50 years.
People are homeless because we've cut corporate tax rates for 75 years straight (47% to 15%).
People are homeless because after we cut corporate tax rates for 75 years straight those same corporations sent as many jobs as possible overseas and all the politicians did nothing.
People are homeless because the share of income to the top quintile keeps going up (mostly supported by the top 5%) while everyone else gets less.
People are homeless because we act like unions on strike are the bad guys. So evil to ask the corporation exploiting them to pay them enough to live. Yet we are mad at them for asking? For organizing? "I get treated unfairly so why should they get to ask for fair treatment!?"
People are homeless because we made criminals out of addicts.
People are homeless because we made housing into an investment instead of a place to live.
People are homeless because we enclosed all the commons and made it impossible for them to live anywhere.
The homeless population keeps increasing but most people are too worried about their own roof and food to actually care. To think about another's situation requires empathy and the world is running out of that as well.

    • @Dmbyers2002
      @Dmbyers2002 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

People are homeless because we are all so concerned with everyone getting equal pieces of the pie, that we forgot to bake enough pie to go around.
A society unequally sharing a big giant economy is a hell of a lot better than where we are now, trying to equally divide up what’s left of the scraps.
      And a few other issues.

      It's not a conspiracy, guys.
      1. Dictator didn't always mean the same thing as it does in the modern era, Julius Ceasar was (historically) chosen by the people.
      2. It's not a wheat symbol for communists it's a laurel wreath, which yes is a "noble" symbol from antiquity and yes was worn by Roman emperors who took on the name Caesar as an honorific (title)
      3. It's not the liberal party logo, but the Laurier club, basically top donors for the liberal party
      4. Laurier Club is clearly named after the 7th pm Wilfred laurier the longest serving PM, and also a liberal.
      5. The laurel wreath is clearly a play on words with laurier.
That took me seconds of googling to figure out and piece together. Let's keep our heads about us friends. Again, not everything is a conspiracy.

I know a bill that passed that made using scabs to break strikes illegal, which is awesome. I also know that my wage gets to go up thanks to the NDP in BC. Also, birth control is really easy to get a hold of and I can thank the BC NDP for that one, too. I don't like how groceries and housing prices have been uncontrolled, leaving it up to the big realtors that have all the reason to keep housing prices high as their assets appreciate in value.
