- This is a pattern that I designed myself. I show you how to crochet easy shawl scarf tutorial in this video. If you know how to chain and make single crochets you can make this beautiful scarf.

Super cute!!! My sister in law tried to teach me how to crochet and I could not pick it up. I can knit a basic stitch and can do that easy but can't seem to catch on with the crocheting. Maybe if I can find a video for the total beginner and I can learn from watching over and over.
Patti. You can learn. I have a playlist which I think is featured on the video but I can give you the link. Just start by doing the chain stitch and then try the Single Crochet and then try other stitches from there. Give it a try. I think you will get hooked!!!! Would the pattern work with a #1 weight, I need to do a gift for my mother in law & have some sparkly lion brand summer nights

How much of the skein did you use for this? I was looking to make this with bernat satin but I’ve only got one ball and it’s 200 yards. I was thinking I’d go up to a 5.5mm hook as well to give it some extra drape.

This is a FC of 71.. question- will any odd number work, or is there a. particular multiple? Just completed one shawl-and ready for another.
I just made this up as I was recording it! So I really don't know the answer to your question and it's been so long that I can't remember! Good luck trying a different size!

Hi Teresa, I have a question about making this shawl/scarf with Hobbii Universe yarn which is a lighter weight fingering yarn and requires 3.5mm hook. Would my chain length initially be much longer?
Hey Sharon! I would measure it with the other scarf you made. Since it's lighter weight yarn the stitches would be small for sure but just measure it against your body or against the fist shawl you made to get an idea of the size! ☺️Hope this helps!❤️
