This is amazing! I was thinking about making a capelet, but: first - I didn't know the name in English for that, and second - I didn't know how to crochet this (I'd go for a flat circle or something like that). You posted another very helpful video, thank you so much! Now I know where to start :) Greetings from Poland ^_^
Hello my new crochet friend from Poland! I'm SO happy this design is what you have been looking for. Enjoy!
This is beautiful! Thank you for the tutorial!
THank you so much!
I’m so impressed that you wrote a book! I’d love to hear more about it. How you chose the topic, etc.
Anyway, back to crochet! Do you think this pattern would look nice as a wrap? I look much better in wraps than ponchos, although I love them.
This could work as a wrap, but of course it would need a whole other pattern. Have you seen my summer pocket shawl? That has a nice open weave as well: th-cam.com/video/T41U-36X-wA/w-d-xo.html As for the book, I give the low down at my author blog: sylviatalo.com Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Beautiful! How many chains should I use for a 2X size?
Instructions for larger sizes are at the blog: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-capelet-for-women-free/ I show 1X as the largest size. You might try a little bit larger hook to get the pattern a little larger.
Ma'am, how many chains do I have to make for a large and XLsize
104 chains
I noticed there was a knot in the yarn and you just continued crocheting i usually cut it off and reconnect yarn,
i often wondered does this ever come undone or is it secure enough for me to leave the knot in and continue! My way does take up extra time!!!
HI. I left the knot because I didn't want to stop filming. However, I have never had a knot come undone. Of course there's always the first time. LOL.
As a newbie.. I noticed you do 'yarn under' when you insert and pull through.. is that because it's better/neater?
Thanks for your work! 🌷
Busted! LOL. This is not better or neater. I learned this way as a child and after decades of doing it my grandma's way (she was a master crochter) I cannot do it the "right" way. I have tested my patterns and gauge doing it both ways and the teeny tiny difference is absolutely negligible. It will take me twice as long to work a project trying it the true yarn over way. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
I am trying to do the larger size but 102 stitches are not working out ; should I be doing multiples of 4 ?
I'm sorry you're having problems. What is it that is not working out?
I think I may need 104 sts in order to have 12 rows of 4sts- then 4 chains to last corner ?
@@margarethensey3054 You are correct. I just reworked it using 104 chains and it did work. I'm not sure if I had a typo in the pattern. In any case, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will correct the pattern right away.
Thank you so much for a lovely pattern 😍.and for your speedy replies ☘️👏👏
Where you been been over month
I wondered if anyone noticed. I'm in the middle of a major move that has not gone smoothly. After I'm settled in my new location I'll get back on track with my crochet biz. Thank you for asking. Please check back.
Sorry, but hard to follow. You move quickly and it’s difficult to see where you place you hook, need to be a little closer.
Very cute though.
Thank you for the feedback. I will keep that in mind going forward. Thank you for watching.
