After losing hundreds of pounds, and undergoing reality TV’s most shocking transformation, Mama June is gaining back the weight and the pressure is on to keep it off. In an outrageous weight loss competition, Mama and her arch-nemesis, Jennifer are going pound-for-pound at fit camp. But Mama finds herself stressed out when faced with unexpected pregnancy news which intensifies when her boyfriend Geno gets into trouble with the law. Following her surprising debut on “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson embarks on her first teenage romance and a new career in showbiz while Pumpkin, Josh, and the cutest baby in the state of Georgia, Ella, are moving out of June’s house and into their own chaos - embroiled in Josh’s get-rich-quick schemes.

It’s not easy to switch that sister bond to a parent bond. Even though you want to be the cool big sister, as the guardian you got to put that parent foot down.
I think Pumpkin is doing a great job. And I think the bond between her and Alana will grow stronger than ever.
Someone please make sure Pumpkin is getting therapy. She’s a strong woman. But she’s going through a ton, taking on raising a family and her teen sister, and dealing with the emotional turmoil of her mother. She may be okay now but let’s make sure it stays that way.

Judge Jenny Her mother is a drug addict who abandoned her family and left no choice but to raise her teen sister, while she’s getting accustomed herself to raise a baby, and starting a family which is stressful enough without having to suddenly take on a teenager, and deal with the emotional stress of your mother being a fuck up druggie. Her mother also put those kids in harms way consistently in so many ways, and hung out with the man who molested her sister after he got out of jail. A,omg many other things.

@Judge Jenny just because you made it through traumatic experiences without therapy doesn't mean everyone can, everyone handles trauma differently. And not everyone uses religion to help them heal, not everyone is religious. Also many people believe that everyone should see a therapist if possible, of course there are people who are very much in need of therapy, but it can be a useful tool to help process life events, decisions, and stress even if you don't have trauma or mental illness to work through. It doesn't make you weak, it doesn't make you stupid, it doesn't make you lesser than, to step up and make that decision to go to therapy is a very mature one. It's the people who look down on peoples seekinh therapy that should be in shame. And please, if you're going to argue with me don't bother responding. My point isn't to change your mind, my comment exists purely so that some young kid on here that may be struggling with something doesn't get down on themselves and feel weak for wanting therapy simply because they see your comment.
Judge Jenny it sounds that you do need therapy after all. And therapists say that you don’t even need to have a severe mental problem to benefit from therapy so don’t look down upon people who are brave enough to get help bc you weren’t.

I wish more people pumpkin's age took parenting as seriously as she does. A lot people take it as a joke these days, or use their kids as accessories. Shes better at parenting than my cousin and she's 30. She's extremely mature for her age.

Tbh parenting isnt hard.. If you think about it.. Its like raising yourself mentally..and taking care of yourself physically.. But if you think about it how can we call kids, 'kids' if we were once a kid.. And a fucking annoying kid.. All it takes is discipline and once you got that yOu did a good job... All you need is maturity,patience, understanding, honesty.. And you're good

It’s actually super crazy to think how similar it is to my situation. My mom passed away when I was 15, and my older sister along with my brother in law gained guardianship of me. (Btw my biological father is not a part of my life nor do I want him to). Seeing how much pumpkin and josh want the best for Alana is similar to how I’ve had my sister and brother in law support me. I’m so happy they are doing the best for Alana and really showing her she can get through life especially with her situation. I hope for the best for them and I hope June can change her ways
It's good that they are showing her what a normal life is like. She was Honey boo boo for so long that she missed out on a normal childhood. Being in the spotlight as a kid can damage you. She has to realize that beside tv she is also a kid . Josh and pumpkin are teaching her how to humble herself which is great. They're preparing her for life outside of tv
Definitely proud of Josh and Pumpkin they’ve really stepped up and them “raising” Alana gives them more experience for when Ella becomes a teenager so proud of them ❤️

Pumpkin was always my favorite & to see how she has matured & stepped up for her family just makes me so proud. I always felt like she had that strong nurturing side even as the family jokester. Keep up the good work Pumpkin, cuz even with everything that's going ur still killing it! I pray for ur & Alana's continued strength, & for ur Mom to be able to overcome these demons & men! I have 11yrs clean myself & it is a very hard road. There r 2 sayings that r 100% true when it comes to addiction. 1. U really can't help somebody that doesn't want it...but u can love them. & 2. A person MUST change people, places, & things when they're getting clean! Someone cannot fully recover & move forward with one foot still in that other world. U gotta stay away from anyone & everyone u did drugs with, places u did those drugs, & things that trigger, & or those old routines. It sounds like a no brainer I kno, but it's not. That is the part that so many have the most trouble with. Then u basically havr to re-learn how to live. How to handle the crazy flowing emotions, cuz u feel like an emotional teenager, & u have to remember the things u used to like doing before the drugs. It can be a long emotional road, but it's so worth it in the end. I hope u momma gets to the point where she's finally ready to give up the drugs & Gino, & get herself back. Good luck & we're rooting for u! ❤

I have so much respect or these two!!! I know first hand how difficult taking on a preteen/ teenager that someone else raised is!! This year my Boyfriends mother passed away and resulted in us taking custody of her youngest son. Honestly its VERY stressful and some days I just want to give up, trying to help correct a child who was raised to "run the show" and always got what he wanted. Seeing pumpkin and Josh using some of the same tactics we have been using makes me feel like maybe we are not doing as crappy as I thought!

In these past 2 years pumpkin and Josh have done more for Alana then sugar bear and Mama June in Alana's whole life.
Raising teenagers are hard, no matter who the parents are. I commend her sister and brother in law for taking on that responsibility. They are right, she is better with them as she is learning how to be a more well rounded person. Kudos to them!

Pumpkin is 100% right Allana is doing much better with her and Josh than she was with June. So proud them for stepping up especially pumpkin being a new mom, taking in your sister and watching your mom self destruct is so much to handle and she is doing so well.
