      It's hard to say. 3.2 million to 4 million yen a year is a usual starting salary. I'm at the lower and and only pay 14% of my net monthly salary to rent.
      I've seen bootcamp grads in Tokyo start out at 5 million.

      Yes, when I do this again I'll make an announcement in Discord. I want to do it every weekend if I can somehow make time for it.

    Damn. Missed the stream - was in work 😑 Next time hopefully. Have you started using CGPT/copilot/etc. much in your day to day work and/or life?

    • @WebDevJapan
      @WebDevJapan  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Chat GPT, yes. I use it every day for something at work and for my own use. I haven't tried copilot yet. Have you?
      When I use Chat GPT to help me learn I don't ask it to solve the problem I'm facing. I ask it to give me a hint on how to solve it, or give me the first step I should take to solving it. Usually it's best to explicitly tell it to not give you the full solution. Then just take it step by step.

      @@WebDevJapan I haven't to be honest... my rubbish excuse; I'm < a noobie so haven't ventured into copilot yet aha. Daily life - I have an IV drip of CGPT set up aha. It's especially good for learning Japanese, but I do feel I'm cheating a hell of a lot.
      That's a great bit of advice re. CGPT - I'm guilty of asking it to explain where I've gone/am going wrong with something, but that inevitably leads it to give me the answer. I'm going to adopt your approach going forward, that's a much smarter way of doing it 💪

      What about GitHub? Just getting started or workflow? Or something else?

    • @rodrigomora4617
      @rodrigomora4617 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WebDevJapan Personally I would say getting started and workflow. I feel like a lot of videos miss nuances of things like what to do if some error comes up or just common mistakes that might happen and how to fix them. maybe going more into the why something works the way it does and not just show people what to do and not the why. That would be cool lol.

      I've never used it but know the name. I just looked for the first time and it looks pretty good. Free Code Camp plus Chat GPT is probably just as good as codedamn and Jarvis. Codedamn looks to be more project oriented though. Really, there are tons of resources on the internet. Many good choices. It comes down to your learning style and which course suits you.
