These commercials look back at a less complicated time. I can remember where I was for all of these snapshots of Americana. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
How awesome! I was born in 1981 and the commercials in the 70's are amazing! I grew up watching the 80's great commercials after taking a break from TV shows, cartoons, movies.
I wasn’t born until ‘88 but some of these ‘80’s commercials still came on when I was a young kid. Felt a strong ‘80’s vibes when I watched them. Best commercials :)
I was born in 1985. I grew up eating hostess snack cakes since I was a little girl. I love the hostess chocolate cupcakes, Ding Dongs and the hostess fruit pies. I like the hostess apple and Cherry fruit pies, but I also love the hostess snack cake commercials from the 1980's. Thank you. I love the 80's commercials. I am also a huge 80's fan.
Working at Burger King, i usually worked 1st shift. In this day, so many employees called off on 2nd shift that i volunteered to work an extra shift. At about 7:00p.m two 12 year old girls walked in looking very scared! It seemed that they had just gotten out of our local movie theater, when this man started following them! We hustled them into the back office and we called the cops! They showed up and held this guy. Doing a background check, they find out that he was a convicted registered sex offender! They hauled him away.
Commercials had a way of making you remember the commercial jingle which also made you want to go get whatever it was being advertised. Loved the 70's and 80's commercials.
What is the corportate greed part? The funny thing is that you vote democrat and your president made a 3 dollar hamburger 6 dollars overnight magically. The terrible part is that you won't learn from it and it repeats.
The past twenty three years have been identical to the 1980's, 1970's, 1920's to 1932, Depression Years. It is time to hire all humans. I have been discriminated against since 2001.
We were so much happier back then. Compare the commercials of the 70s and the 80s to now. Goes to show the sociological and culture shifts in America. Wow how far we have fallen!
The Colonel's original seasoning blend is still made & sold by the company that made it for Kentucky Fried Chicken, when Colonel Sanders still owned it, and insisted on quality food. That company is Marion Kay Spices, and you can buy from them online. I use their Chicken Seasoning Plus, which has superfine salt already in it. I gave up on KFC years ago, because I can make it better, cheaper, and healthier at home.
I love these even tho I didn’t grow up in those times I wish I lived back then thank u for sharing my grandma told me about the older tv shows and commercials years ago I really miss her the wendys commercial made me laugh where the grandma walked up and he waved lol
Wrong mostly are from the 80s that carried over into the 90s mostly early 90s after 92 or 93 than the ads were 90s which went into the early 2000s... that's the way it goes my friend.
In the mid 80's, in the mid west, there was some nut going around leaving pipe bombs everywhere. Working at Burger King, on a slow day, my manager sent me to clean the mens room. Walking into the toilet stall, find a plain brown paper bag, with something inside! Telling my manager, he goes in to look whats in the bag. I stop him and tell him to call the Police! They came and evacuated the restaurant and the whole block! What was in the bag? It was empty.
He got caught in my hometown (Mason City, IA) He was in the parking lot of the local Country Kitchen and accidentally blew his car up. A friend of mines Dad worked at a photo camera store across the lot and recorded the aftermath with some new in the store, a "camcorder"
I'm in Miami and let me tell you that Downtown is not a glimpse of what it once were, I worked in many stores all around and years later i passed by and they're all gone, well i'll never go to Downtown Miami again.
When I was a kid, Kentucky Fried Chicken was better, because it was freshly made to order. You'd have to wait 10 minutes for them to cook it. The pressure-fryers made it possible to cook it that fast. When the big conglomerate that bought the company from the Colonel cheaped out by using a mix for gravy, and replacing the 11 herbs & spices with 3 (salt, pepper, MSG), the Colonel was so disgusted that he moved to Canada. Because the Canadian owner (Scott's Chicken Villas) still did things HIS way, and listened to him.
You can make your own, and they'll taste better than those Hostess ones ever did. Make the pastry shells, and bake them empty. When they've baked and completely cooled, use a piping bag to fill them with chilled pudding.
Super mega sized drinks. Larger than any size they'd had before. It was 32 oz. That's now called a medium. Very soon they'll have that listed as the small.
''Parts is Parts'' what kind of parts different parts Parts is Parts when YOU finally give up Fast Food you'll find out how much better you feel and how much more money you have in your pocket. Fast Food is food like American Processed Cheese Food is food. You can eat it, but you have better options.
Fast food back then was more like home-cooked food. Portions were also much bigger, compared to today. A large Pizza Hut pizza was the size of a extra large New York style pizza in the 80s.
Something just bugs me about the "Hot and Juicy" ad. The faces he's making kinda creep me out. On the last one, I'm like "What expression is he going for?!".
People people people... Fast Food was NEVER really that good. Why do I feel like if youtube existed in the 1970s and people watched a video about 1930s fast food, they say the same damn thing
More Old Commercials!! 😊

I am a 1974 generation @ 48 years old and still love these 'mercials.
And I was born in 1952 and can remember these from college and grad school. Great memories of great times!

Like the old Saturday Morning Cartoons. Just something special about them.
@@raegibson3066 Exactly, can’t beat the Saturday morning ‘80’s and ‘90’s commercials and toons :)
89 here
8:19 is such a young Megan Mullally ("Karen Walker" from Will & Grace.) Priceless! 😁
Never could stand that sitcom, but yes that's her without that annoying voice! I also saw John Goodman.
I was born in the 2000s but I adore watching vintage commercials
They feel weirdly nostalgic even though I haven't experienced the 70s/80s
Brings me back to a time without rent, bills, or worries.

Thanks for this. I will definitely be coming back to it when I need to scratch that nostalgia itch!

Good job 👏👍
Definitely back when I was a kid and fast food meant something.
Commercials had a way of making you remember the commercial jingle which also made you want to go get whatever it was being advertised. Loved the 70's and 80's commercials.
I love the old Taco Bell ones
I was born in 1985 omg brings back so many childhood memories I miss them so much 😊🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
Back when fast food was actually good without all the corporate greed to cheapin it.

At 13:55 - Grandpa Munster, Jed Clampett, Eddie Haskell, June Cleaver & Willy Gilligan for McD's
That 7.49 nugget deal was insane!
I remember quality fast food in the 80's and 90's... fast food taste like crap now.
I bought a McDonald’s cheeseburger in 1987 and never ate it but I still have it as of 2023 and it still looks fresh. 😂😂😂

It's not so bad, at least we're not speaking German...
Amazing
I worked at Burger King in the mid 80's, when Burger King had the " whopper beat the Big Mac" promotion.
Great blast from the past! Brings back so many memories!!
Sadly the food doesn’t taste good anymore
Exactly.
I still have my Happy Meal from 1982 in the freezer.I will eat it later.
Facts
Cheaper ingredients to increase profits and no ethics workers that serve you sloppy burgers and cold fries. Fast food is obsolete.
You are so correct everything taste like sawdust now
8:18 …..Megan Mullally and John Goodman.
Lots of friends and lots of healthy relationships. You were indoors only when someone good was on TV. What a time to be alive.
Wow i grew up in a great time i remember almost all of them lol great times
Kfc chicken taste have changed
Definitely. Its gross now. Even taco bell not great. That box is like $12 now.
When Kentucky Fried Chicken was changed to KFC yes the chicken taste was not the same.
Kentucky Fried Chicken was the best.
The Colonel's original seasoning blend is still made & sold by the company that made it for Kentucky Fried Chicken, when Colonel Sanders still owned it, and insisted on quality food.

Big Mac song, I remember going to McDonald's with my friends. Getting the free Big Mac and the free soda by singing the song.

“If you wanna be big, eat big macs”
And we say they didn’t warn us
life isn't fair when you're super hungry at work and see these commercials
Back when supersize fries was still a thing.🤣
I want to go back to a time I didn't exist in.
Miss the days now these chains are now shit
I have to admit that things were much greater before, like in the fabulous 80s. No wonder everybody wants to go back. Lol
John Goodman and Megan Mullally: 8:31
When i see this comercial is nostalgic born 80s baby, and i always think back then the quality of the food was a bit better than now.
I love Hostess cupcakes!!!!!!!! Lol
I'm old but some of these commercials are older than me
Lets face it..the eighties were the last time anyone was slim.
Yeah cuz they all ate this crap, im proud to be healthy in 2024
The 2nd half of this montage are ads that are clearly from the 90s.
Wrong mostly are from the 80s that carried over into the 90s mostly early 90s after 92 or 93 than the ads were 90s which went into the early 2000s... that's the way it goes my friend.
They won't show the colonel's face anymore for KFC
They shouldn't. Does'nt resemble now what it used to be.🙁

KFC hasn't looked this good in a long time
I think the decline of the quality of fast food was in line with the decline of their commercials.
Wow $7.49 for the McDs mcnugget pack.

$2.59 for a Big Mac, Large fires and large coke. Ha! That’s $12 now and probable $20 in California.

I still live near a Pioneer Chicken 🍗 and it taste so much better than the crap at KFC.
The beef is under the pickle grandma..
Wish I had the time to watch the whole video…. miss the 80’s commercials with the catchy jingles all the gimmicks to entice.
