Looks great, all the mods are in keeping with the style of the bike. You just can't beat the tan seats.

Thanks, Brian! Yes, I even think about dying my suede seat in a darker colour. I think I can use shoe leather stuff…

That seat is really cool, love the modular nature with the rear rack

Hey Stanley! Yes, indeed! Next is finishing the light properly... that's going to be a challange because it involves redoing the wiring harness.

That seat is stunning. It looks great as a single seat with the rack or extended. I didn't expect that.

Yes, it is very well made, I was positively surprised. I like it as a single seat the most. I haven't tested the seat for a long ride yet, but for errands around London - very comfy.

It seems like the single seat is the way to go even for long rides because you'd probably want the rack space to bring a bag. Either way that's a genius little setup. Thanks for sharing

Just got my mitts on the light kit after what felt like an eternity of waiting. Bonvent told me they were buried under a mountain of orders and would get to mine eventually. Lo and behold, it finally showed up. If you're in a hurry, you might want to send them a message to check if they've dug their way out yet. Now, onto the fun stuff - installation was a breeze. I used some Motogadget Mo.Blaze Pin indicator lights without breaking a sweat. Wiring them up was like connecting dots in a children's book.
But when it came time to test the brake light, it played hard to get. No instructions were included, so I had to resort to this TH-cam tutorial. After a few failed attempts, I decided to play musical chairs with the pins, and voila! Success. Still not sure if it was the Bonvent loom or the light unit itself causing the drama, but either way, it was a bit of a comedy of errors.
Mounting it onto the bike was a whole other adventure. The existing mudguard required me to drill a hole but the kit came with a nice screw and spacer for the job. The cover/shroud for the brake light mount was a surprise; turns out it's a 3D-printed, resin-dipped masterpiece. Not too shabby, but definitely not what I was expecting.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - or lack thereof. That light unit is dimmer than a candle in a cave. On a sunny day, it's like trying to signal with a glow stick at a rave. I took the bike out for a spin, and my friends behind me were probably wondering if I'd forgotten how to brake. The built-in reflector seems to have a mind of its own, scattering light in every direction except where it's needed. I even tried doing a little light yoga behind the bike, but nothing seemed to improve the situation.
After scouring the internet for alternatives, I stumbled upon some cheap knock-offs on Amazon. But let's just say the reviews were about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. I even found the same unit for a a little over £3, but it's like trying to trade in your old socks for a new pair - same old, same old. I considered removing the reflector and adding a clear plastic cover, but it's a risky move aesthetically.
So, here I am, contemplating becoming the Tony Stark of bike lights, firing up my 3D printer to craft my own masterpiece. It's a bit disappointing to have to resort to DIY when I shelled out for the original kit. You can witness the dimness firsthand in this video. In the comments on this review video others are questioning brightness too so this isn't an isolated duff unit.
If you're okay with riding in the shadows, go for it. But personally, I'm hoping Bonvent takes a cue from Thomas Edison and comes up with something a bit brighter. I haven't reached out to them yet because, well, I'm still trying to figure out if I need a flashlight or a lighthouse to fix this mess. Here's hoping my custom creation saves the day. Despite the setbacks, I do love a good DIY challenge. Overall, Bonvent needs to get their act together in the logistics department and maybe invest in a megaphone for customer communication. Once we finally got in touch, they were as friendly as a puppy with a tennis ball - it's just a shame I had to chase them like I was auditioning for the next Olympics.

Hey there! Get in touch with the guys from Bonvent - you can buy things separately or as a kit. Here is their website: bonvent-motorbikes.com/333-2/ for example, you can get the front and rear fender and the seat. That would be £650

I have quite a bit of interest in the RE interceptor or the Continental GT, I like both. I've done a lot of bikes and I've got quite a few km on my back. But I don't really want to spend a fortune on a new bike.

@@thesundayrideshow did you find the headlight? Looking at adding this to my bike. Would I need to put the wires from the headlight under the tank or does it go behind that headlight?
