SFTT #5 - Bridging The Gap

In this story from the trenches - I explain my reaction to an ex-colleague who asked me to critique his LTAD multi-jumps model. Like most great LTAD approaches to multi-jumps and plyometrics there was a steady, staged and KPI lead progress put forward over the years. However, my query was whether this approach was too regressed relative to what the young athletes (horizontal jumpers) would be experiencing in their competitive movements. Was his model solely based on skill and "earning the right" setting his young athletes up for failure? Should he be trying to "bridge the gap"?
