People don't know how iconic Bobby is. He paved the way for so many. His voice his dancing, just look at that cover 😍

Meh, Bobby was a capable singer, but not the best. He's even admitted to this.

I think Bobby was a good album, very underrated and well slept on. He showed a lot of growth and maturity on the album. I think the album would of sold better if it was released a year prior. However, the album got lost in the shuffle when you think about a lot of the great albums that came out a year earlier like Jodeci's and Boyz II Men's debut along with MJ's Dangerous album. Those albums was still riding high well into 92".
Not to mention you had MJB's debut What's the 411, TLC's debut of Ooooo on the tlc tip. SWV's debut it's about time, as well as En Vogue's follow up Funky Divas dropping that same year. There was just so much great music at that time with upcoming artists Bobby was overlooked imo. Lastly, all of the albums I mentioned out sold Bobby with that being said 92' was a great year for music.

Very underrated and slept on songs Like One More Night and Two Can Play that game is great should have been sent singles

@@mexia23 definitely one more night and two can play that game are my favorite songs of the album. Get Away was a nice cut and single as well.

Bobby Lp wasn't underrated when it came out and was current. Today it's not held in as high of esteem as Don't be cruel but it still stands well on it's own. Honestly, I'd rather listen to either of these sets by Bobby than anything by MJ.

The album was really good and I’m 21 Bobby brown music is amazing but the one thing I really love about this album is that the first few songs was mostly new jack swing songs and then later in the album you can hear Bobby going into straight R&B in the rest of the album damn all the other albums he would’ve probably would’ve realized would’ve been more love music then anything else he’s truly a legend

    • @princeatem5218

disagree if anything the album was too short. Remember Bobby was gone for 4 years he had to make up for that time. Also the timing was really bad when Whitney dropped the bodyguard everything was on her and i do mean everything. what they should've done was have them go on a join tour with Bobby as the opener. you literally can barely find any footage of the humpin around tour.
