I am about to start getting into this. Hopefully going to go buy a truck this weekend. Super nervous but Ive probably watched 30+ of your videos the last 3 days. Thank you for putting so much good info out there.
depends on where the job is located and what we have. in our area certain landfills take cerrtain things and do not take other thiongs. for example we can not take a couch to santa rosa and we can not take yard waste at another.
I never pay for green waste. I own 70 acres of land, it all goes in compost piles and gets sold a year later. That one job you had could have saved you $500 in dump fees + the compost could have been sold for $25 per cubic yard. Buy land, make more money.
@@SonomaStrong Look on Craigslist, people are usually looking for clean green waste to fill gullies. Contact all of them on Craigslist that are located in your area, that way you can dump green waste for free in a bunch of places to save gas money. It usually takes years to fill big gullies. Win, win. Put that $500 dump fee in your pocket.
Hello guys, Ben from Phoenix, is there a reason why you got that size dump truck instead of a bigger one. Wouldn't a bigger dump truck save time going to the dump. Thank you for keeping it real and sharing.
Hey Mat and JoJo, hello from the UK ;) , been watching your vids for a while now and wanted to thank you both soooo much for the info on your channel, im pretty close to starting up "haulin and ballin", suv and cage trailer and with the info from your channel im feeling pretty confidentish lol, i know you guys are busy but any more info on working solo would be great, ill be watching whatever vids you upload, you guys are entertaining :) Keep it up guys.
How do I get my license and insurance for junk removal? And how much does it cost ? And do I have to have a truck and trailer before getting the paperwork?
Check with your city for what you need. Watch out how to start a business series for more info and you don’t need anything to get the paperwork done. We did everything before we started.
I would only do that when your phone is ringing so constantly that you are finding yourself needing a worker every day. Having someone on call for when you need them seems to work best for most.
Hey Sonoma, I got a question for you. How can I have a super booked and busy three weeks, and then the 4th week, not a single call?? Any advice or tips?
@@SonomaStrong thanks for the reply. I've got one more question if you have time to answer. It's not too cold here during winters, so I'm wondering why it's slower and why some other guys are still busy.
When equipment like your lift gate or its components fail, are you able to go get it serviced the next day ? Seems like you'd miss a lot of work because of it. Time is money !
That's a lot of bags! awesome job, if you don't mind me asking, how much approx did you charged for that piece of furniture. If you were closer i would've take that and probably arrange something with you about furniture you pick up, I fix, paint and sell furniture.. I'm in Apple Valley CA. Thank you for sharing...
Time for a burrito with all that hard work you did Matthew great job. Thanks for the tip of the day brother. Like they say in fast & furious 2 your pockets ain't empty cuz 😂
@@johnprado7157 everybody's market is different. Everybody's dump fees are different. If you're in the junk removal business then im sure you already have a pricing sheet and have done research on what your competitors are charging. Usually $30-$50 per cubic yard depending on what's being hauled.

youre definitely in a wealthier area there are absolutely tons of people doing it around me and they do it for the low. AND they bring it to the dump. granted theyre still making better money than like working at mcdonalds but not 2k + a day like what u preaching out there
Yes we are in an affluent area.... your population and cost of living is definitely an important equation in this line of work. We always suggest that you try it out part time in your area to see how it goes.
I still think I'd much rather load all that myself, rather than hiring someone to help. I guess i could get burnt out solo after a while, maybe. How do you find your part time on-call help?
working by yourself saves so much money, thanks for watching the video, this video talks about employees and may answer some of your questions. th-cam.com/video/SBV8WXLxPfg/w-d-xo.html
