@Junior Honduras I just want to thank you so much for your 5th wheel slide video. ✋🏽 ✋🏽 ✋🏽 hands down, none could compare to you. You have help a queen trucker slide her fifth wheel back, for the 1st time. I have been driving for 6yrs and have never slid my fifth wheel before. I appreciate you so much 💓 💗 Wholeness and Balance in this 2023 new Year.
I wached many times the other drivers vedio how to move the 5th Wheels but this man explined very clear and easy . So I understand now Very very well how to move back and forward. This is hard for new drivers like me but I understand now !! Thanks man !!!
Junior is patient and detailed which makes him one of the best teachers out there. Also, repeating the process is an excellent teaching strategy. He is a natural born teacher. Keep up the great work you are doing.
Thank you for doing a good job of explaining and not wasting my time with a 3 minute video of BS followed by 2 more mins of begging for a like and sub. You got my vote brotha!
Thank you Junior for this video. I’ve been driving for quite a few years now and we have different trucks but I’ve never slid my fifth wheel. I will attempt to do this tonight. Thank you again for sharing.
Your company is VERY fortunate to have a driver/trainer like yourself. I was raised in the Motor Freight Industry in the 50's and driver's like yourself are far and few between. Very nice job driver, very nice job.
Amazing video! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you Junior for being so detailed and reiterating the important steps. You’ve definitely helped another fellow trucker. God bless.
Great tutorial bro. I've learned so much watching you videos. I really liked Rodney. He was a big loss to this world. Hope he's looking down and laughing. You guys had some great moments. I always got just as tickled as you watching him. Thanks again, John
Definitely a great video. In my Peterbilt I didn’t hear the hissing but noticed my suspension load gauge is at zero now with landing gear down. Checking the psi on the gauge might be good to suggest. You got a sub! This is the stuff we should learn in trucking school! I got my cdl didn’t know how to adjust 5th wheel, slide tandems, or couple/uncouple trailer!
It is a good idea to slide them a few times a month, even if you don't need to, it keeps it from getting stuck and impossible to move the one time you need it to.
Thanks for the info. Im a rookie driver and out here solo. Im in Alabama rite now. I had a overweight issue in Washington my company told me to adjust the fifth wheel but didn't know how so i just went back to the shipper. My fifth wheel is set to the front but i think ill do what u said "put it to the back". Gonna try it now. I might have to come back to this video to make sure im doing it rite. thanks again Junior. keep the video's coming..
Good stuff. It’s a rare thing to have to do unless...making a tight turn with a long trailer, you need to have more weight on the truck or something like that. 🧐
Very good video, but a little too much work. Just let your landing gear down and than instead of cranking it up til you hear your air bags, just drain them. (Lower your vehicle). But everything else, very useful. I watch alot of your videos. You have helped me alot. Thanks!
Hi Junior. I m new to your channel. Am wondering if you could do a video about bridge law length violation/tandems too far back . Thanks for taking time to help so many people. Tandem sliding is a subject so badly neglected by many driving schools.
Thanks man my trainer at the company in with never showed me how to do this, I’m currently on a two stop pickup first load is 44822 lbs I’m suppose to tell dispatch how much more weight I can take on I have no damn clue I’m assuming I’m going to need to slide my fifth wheel in order to put any more weight on because normally most of my loads are around 44k to 44600k and I’m barely legal on axles when that heavy
Needed to know about the locking pins for my pre-trip inspection, and this video was a big help. Does each hole represent a 1000 pound shift or 100 pounds. Thank you!
Wait so it’s opposite than the tandems ? You slide to the problem to take weight off but for the 5th wheel you slide to the the place you want to add weight to ?
thanks for this video .. I think the tractor wheelbase can make a difference in this case . So what you think the good wheelbase size for pulling reefer 53 trailer ? 232 or 234 or 236
Do the majority of trucks have the button on the dash to release the pins? Or are there other methods to releasing the pins, such as a pulling pins out?
Hey, Junior, clarify this for me if you will: You say you keep your 5th wheel "all the way to the back." The video clearly shows - and you yourself state - the pins are in the 4th hole. But my count indicates the 5th wheel sliding track on your truck has 6 holes. Wouldn't that make your "all the way to the back" claim the 6th or last hole? But you're calling the 4th hole "all the way to the back." I'm confused.
Awesome. Good tutorial. Are the stops set by Prime or the manufacturer?
+chrisretusn good question and they are set by Prime. 👍👍
@@JuniorHonduras please spanis man
Buenas tardes yo no se ingles y tengo un ínter 2013 maxx force help
I thought so because otherwise why would the manufacturer waste time making the other holes

Would you dump the airbags as an added precaution, or is it necessary since you dropped the landing gear on the trailer?
+James Downey nope, just the landing gear is enough. Thank you and thanks for watching 👍

+Kenneth Latony muhisimas gracias e igual a ud. 👍😎👍

The stopper prevents the pins from reaching the last 3 holes.
Thank you junior!! 😙
+Stephany Ward you are very welcome 👍😊😉
