and the reason the knights have no idea how to use chopsticks is because if this were live-action, the knights would be European. they are unfamiliar with this foreign experience except for Hinata since from a live-action perspective, she's the only Asian among their group.
It's funny how TenSura beats the "glorification of regular Japanese food" allegations by having Hinata confirm that it's very high quality ramen and not regular ramen.

I feel Hinata on Ramen. When I tasted my mother homecooking after years of not having it. It was quite an experience. These flavors that no other chef in the world can replicate, sit so close to your heart.

Japan doesn't fool around with ramen. Its like cheeseburgers for Americans. It's a point of national pride. Notice how detailed they animate the ramen. I wonder if they might of brought in some of the animators from Food Wars for this scene. When the spoon enters the soup, the detail is amazing. They must of spent many hours drawing that bowl of ramen. Rimuru clearly went into great detail, or perhaps shared his memories like he did with Shizu. The bowls, the atmosphere of the restaurant. The special spoons, chopsticks. Rimuru spared no detail in recreating the genuine Japanize ramen experience. They also put Rimuru's likeness on everything, the bowls, spoons, pudding, his slime face is everywhere. At the bottom of the bowl too, so people know who gave them this wonderful food. Then they travel on Rimuru's highway system, with campgrounds and inns. The kind of travel from our world.

Having played the Assassins Creed games, I always thought that my mother was wrong when she said that the way to a person's heart is through their stomach. No mother, the way to a person's heart is through the bottom two ribs. Going through their stomach is unnecessarily complicated. Hinata's reaction there makes me wonder if my mother was actually right...

To everyone else, this is how a demon lord exerts power. The demon lord wanted this and all that followed him moved heaven and earth to make it real. (Imagine all the other infrastructure Rimuru had to build to get to this point.)
At this point we are already seeing that Hinata isn't going to just die off a "villain" and is heading towards becoming Rimuru's friend. These small parts of humanizing her really allow the audience to slowly change their impression of her. I read pretty far ahead in the LN so I can't tell if anime only fans picked that up.
When I visited relatives living in Japan and told them I wanted to eat ramen, they were reluctant to take me because apparently ramen is a common, everyday meal there and they felt it was rude to feed it to a guest 🤣🤣

Even if Hinata were stronger and beat him in a fight, she lost the moment she had that ramen. Why would anyone want to destroy something they could never have again and that can be shared with other people in that world? Rimuru is too positive of a force in that world for anyone sane and selfless to want to get rid of.

He acquired his own nation, influence, allies, and dedicated much to establishing functional economic ties to the rest of the world. He can get virtually anything he wants if he doesnt already have it. He has all the power and resources he needs to accomplish his goals regarding wanting to live comfortably and his past life in Japan provides all the references he needs to create that kind of future for himself. Considering his goals I have no doubt that even if he didnt have Great Sage/Raphael to help, he would STILL find a way to make Ramen and Sushi.
I enjoyed this entire part of the book as hinata and her companions experience the sheer quality of life improvements rimuru has introduced to his nation and the surrounding areas. They expect a demon lord tyrant or whatever and instead they see a philanthropist who seems to be almost entirely focused on making life better for everyone and asking for nothing in return really, beyond "Admit we have the right to be a nation and treat us like any other ally." Even these hardcore super dedicated to "Monsters must be killed, period" religious zealots are shaken by what they experience on this trip.
After the battle, Hinata decides to leave Luminus and swear her fealty to Rimuru. All for the tastes of home that only Rimuru can provide. (I’m joking of course)
