I think the age gap between Shizu and Rimuru was something like 30 / 40 years. Yeah they don't age the same in the New World but still. Also part of the reason why Rimuru has an attachment to Shizu is because she just so happened to be another Otherworlder that was from Japan.

Here he has this fully mature, capable adult woman who had been developing a relationship with him naturally, and absolutely EVERYONE dog-piles on him that he has to get with an actual child who hasn't even outgrown a tendency to be a little brat, Albis be damned. Momiji was so out of line targeting Albis, a guest in her home, and part of this group of representatives that you're supposed to be on your best diplomatic behavior with, with unwarranted, derogatory insults. Team Albis all the way. She deserves to be happy and not get shoved to the side for absolutely no reason. It makes no sense to me.
