    I love my v11. First wheel and it was a little intimidating at first, but now its very manageable and getting easier with every ride (I only have 23 miles on it). It is very smooth and gives you confidence it'll go where you want.

      I just ordered mine yesterday. It's a good thing I got mine during this time in Minnesota, with all the snow. I won't be riding it much, but I mean, it will be my first ride. So I won't be putting much miles on it.

    I've been scouring TH-cam videos about different entry-level commuter EUC's and this one ticks all my boxes. Great review, thanks! I typically drive 20 miles a day, and travel between 25-35mph (I've found this is the sweet spot between speed / fun on my scooters. Anything faster is begging for a Darwin award, and anything slower you might as well ride a bicycle). I'm currently using scooters, and only using my car for long distance travel or large shopping trips, but my scooters are useless in the winter, so I'm hoping an EUC will change that.

    Good review - thanks for revisiting this wheel. As someone who owns multiple wheels I can tell you: the V11 is AMAZING despite the bearing issue I had to deal with. Totally worth it. This thing is 'next gen' when compared to my MSP which is like an iPhone1 in comparison.
    Suspension is amazing and all wheels should have it, there is absolutely no downside. People who whine about it being 'too complicated' don't know what they are talking about - after 2500km I've never had an issue. The benefits of suspension FAR outway the cost.
    We need more suspension wheels!
    Whoever first releases a 20" suspension whee that can compete with the Sherman will get all my money.

    I’ve never been impressed with InMotion’s offerings in the past. I always felt the limitations they put on their wheels limited the growth of the EUC community as a whole. You get a powerful new wheel in the Sherman, and then boom...EUC community grows so much. But the v11 and upcoming v12 is where InMotion has come around. Now you got respectable performance and a luxury car refinement that gives them a distinct style. Props to them and can’t wait to see your episode on the v12!

    Two small improvements that Inmotion could add to their next gen suspension wheel would be a magnetic flap holder for the charging port cover and a spring loaded kickstand. I am an older rider with a 65 lb Nikola AR+. That wheel is as heavy as I want to haul up stairs or carry very far or even wrestle into the back of a SUV. The V11Y is almost the same weight and thus in consideration for my suspension wheel. The so called half-bikes have speed, range and comfort on the road or trail, but they are a pain to wrestle with your feet on the ground.

  • @brocmt
    @brocmt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I recently saw a video (that has unfortunately since gone private, otherwise I'd post the link) where a V11 owner was illustrating water in the motor, and loose motor windings. From what I understand, the bearings aren't adequately sealed, I dunno how it got away with an IPX55 rating.
    First week of owning it, I crashed my S18 into a ditch with runoff flowing fast all through it... no ill effects, one month later.
    I'd still like to try a V11, but after seeing some of the issues folks have been reporting, I dunno if I'd buy one. I'm happy with the punch of my S18, and the range is adequate enough. I do have a new tire coming for it, the IRC TR-1 in 2.75-14. I'd love to see more wheels with suspensions, though. The streets of my small town are rough, the sidewalks aren't much better, and the hills are pretty steep. I dunno if anything bigger would survive here without a suspension.

I watch all your videos. Dont forget to flip the stand and close the charge port. ... The stand thingy is not very good but you can DIY improve it. The seat gives you acceleration options since you can squeeze the seat you your knees and force more tilt faster. Its very good also for braking power.... Seat is bloody expensive but its worth it and eliminates the need for sidepads methinks. Studded footpads is extremely good value for money. Safer and faster. Thx again mate.

      Hi! I do have a safety video where I talk about things to watch out for, but nothing specific on helmet. Generally I would suggest matching it to the kind of speed and rides you do, if you push the upper end of the speed limit, you should probably buy a motorcycle helmet design for higher speed crash, but if you just do 20-25mph rides then a bicycle helmet should be fine.

    30 miles is not much for modern EUC.
    Doing ~45 on the Sherman in one good weekend ride.

    Nice review. Waiting for KS to announce their new wheel. Hoping it's the S18 with bigger battery, more range, more power, 100V, speakers...
    Looks very daunting to be riding in NY with so much traffic and terrible roads.
    Great vid, look forward to the next one, thanks.

    So v11 for a guy just wants a reliable, safe, comfortable, fun toy to enjoy with rides with friends? Or the S18...
    I'm not looking to hard-core use, jump, tricks. I love the s18 look, but the v11 seems to take every other category.

    • @OWGAC
      @OWGAC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think so, its more comfortable, faster, longer ranged, and the better head light is huge at night. I think its all around a better wheel for casual use.

    i bought the v11 as my first wheel. i'm disappointed, i thought there was going to be way more torque. that said, it may be that all e-unicycles are lackluster

      No you must try a gotway Nicola plus super fast

    • @Mpower31
      @Mpower31 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sensation of torque is definitely much stronger on an esk8 for example. On the euc you leaning forward kind of cancels it out a bit. If you want torque sensation you'd be better off with either an escooter or esk8

    Bro, I'm not sure what you've strapped on to your chest but if its not a bulletproof vest, I'm assuming its a chest (& hopefully back as well) protector. I got nothing against protection but if it were me, I'd go the elbow/forearm/knee route 1st. Doing chest but not aforementioned is kinda like putting the cart before the horse. Not a big V11 fan myself so I'll be awaiting your V12 details.

    • @swiftadventurer
      @swiftadventurer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      another way of thinking... elbow/forearm/knees will break and heal, but a car door opened suddenly impacting straight in the sternum could be lethal. Waiting to see what the V12 looks like too.

    • @scottsum1319
      @scottsum1319 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@swiftadventurer Ahhh I see. Nevertheless, I've not as yet heard of any one on an EUC with a caved in sternum but there's always a 1st. Why I didn't I think of it...nahhh, stats are I'm 100% (so far) more likely to fruck my elbows, knees & hands so I'm a gonna stick to the well proven routine.

      If i fall forward I'm more worried about my stomach and my crotch than my chest. There is a dude on youtube who nosedived on his Onewheel and it pulled his pants down and gave him road rash on his genitals

    i just learnt on the 16x and the v11 is trash compared to 16x. it was so terrible i never want to ride a v11 again.. the v11 i rode on was also brand new.,
    16x unlocks happiness but some people might enjoy the constant pain in the ass that is v11. 16x amazing
