@@Bl4ck0r4ng3 I think MCR and Lana Del Rey. They're probably the artists with the most good songs in my opinion. And their songs seem to hold up over time. Who are yours?
We all have an Era of music that we gravitate towards, that speaks to us. No matter how much music I listen to, nothing will ever replace how important early 2000's post-hardcore, emo, and metalcore is to me. Sometimes nostalgia is painful.
What's unbelievable is no one will ever know how much different the world (and even the internet) really was back then. You truly "had to be there." It all feels like a dream now.
I remember reading a study like 15 years ago about how the mind tends to imprint music the most from some age until like 24. It really does seem to be true for the most part. There's so much music i listened to back in the day which is objectively horrible looking back on it, but the nostalgia factor still makes it sound great edit may have been 20 i don't remember
I dont think people have any idea how much this album paved the path for this genre of music. They came out with such a different sound and gave us a thing of beauty and raw emotion. I still cite this album to people as the absolute masterpiece that helped kick of so much for the scene kids. 2001.... Destinys child and drops of jupiter were on the radio and we had this glorious masterpiece
Downside is that he fucked up his voice pretty bad from all of that. Good reminder for those who want to do harsh vocals to learn the proper techniques to do so.
Almost 40 & here I am 10 plus years later…. Still one of my favorite bands. I listen to them when I’m feeling some sort of way & its just 🔥 how it speaks to my soul!!!!!!
For 20 years, the only time I heard this song was on a mix CD and on the radio. For 20 years, I thought he was singing, "Found a box of chocolates, what a beautiful day."

@@LuisLopez-id4zcThe attention MCR got was well and truly after the Used were already big. The Used headlined the first Taste of Chaos including international versions, while MCR was third or fourth down the line up.
