Nice overview! I noticed on your published plan that some of the walls were a smidge off of 90°. One trick I picked up from the company's tutorial videos is that the '1' key is the shortcut key for angle snap when drawing out the floor. This is indispensable in making sure your rooms are square.
I appreciate that this video was really straightforward and no nonsense. I like your approach and style to video creation and as a new 360 camera owner, I will be checking out more of your videos!
Great tutorial, thanks. I notice you didn't take an actual measurement within the property? don't you need one to set the measuring tool in the tour? Also, do you need to do the levelling and floor thing on every room?
Thank you for going to the trouble of making this. I am an appraiser, I need a way to do floorplans easier without doing a bunch of measuring and plotting. This was helpful. I know what a PITA making Utube vids can be. I'm impressed. Tnx again!
Hey Man.. Nice video! Can i ask u someting? I try to upload my x2 photos to metareal. Bu my photos up load is like to 180 ball. Yours appears like a 360 photo. How can i solve that problem? tks a lot!
Great video, thanks for sharing. I use the OneX and find the quality isn't all that sharp with metareal. Not sure how much better it would be with other platforms or if it's the OneX
If I understand this right, I need to get a 360 camera before I can use meta real. I only have an iphone and trying to figure out if I should use meta real or asteroom with my iphone.
Hello Andy, I need help with volumes. Do you have a method for placing the volumes so they line up within the Panos correctly? When I place my volumes inside the Reference pano it looks out of place in the other Panos. When I adjust in the other Panos I run into the same problem within the Reference pano. Do you have a suggestion?
Are you using the Plan view to place your volumes in your reference pano? I find you cant really go wrong in the plan view as it is an overhead view of the room. you can almost outline the volumes. once you know they are right on the reference, you should be able to line all them up in the plan view.
cool tutorial, did you ever figure out vaulted or angled ceilings? i'm stumped, the metareal help page kinda glosses over it mostly just saying its supported with no examples.
@@apeacock I think I've figured out linear multi angled ceilings, you take each chunk between those sections of the room and make them into their on rooms and connect them with a "door". Your basically using room not as rooms, but sectors of rooms. Alot of work basically. I just signed up for matterport. I'll save metareal for the easy stuff.
@@SirShadeSquamous I kind of get it, but kind of don't. Seems like they should just let you elongate sections while the other is locked. I emailed someone over there, I'll see if I can get the "Official"answer.
Outside is tough because there are no boundaries. You can take a few shots outside the house, but I don’t think the software would know how to “wrap” the sky and ground.
@@apeacock thank you so much for the reply wanted to ask one more thing, is it compulsory to keep door open to show the connection between two room, cos I did 1 sample shoot but I am able to connect two rooms is it because the door was closed?
I have not used the service, but I'm sure you have access to the project file to make changes/Updates after it is created. Each publication creates a new link so be aware that links may have to be updated.
Yes, you can edit the project after Metareal handles it. However, they do a pretty good job and it's definitely worth the price if you're learning yourself. It took them about four days for my first project, so keep that in mind. But yeah, they didn't make any mistakes. In fact, I didn't shoot enough panos but Metareal made the tour work anyway.
I have had them build a few tours for me. One of them I had to go back and talk to customer service and had them fix some things. The other two were really good. Worth the money. Still need to get it done myself. But nice to have them to help.
I personally use the following and love it: Best360 Monopod Carbon Fiber Edition. I also put a weight on each leg so it doesn't tip over. This is also a good option: BUSHMAN Panoramic Claremont Bushman Monopod. For good tours you will want to use at least a Richo Theta Z1. For Great tours your will want to use a DSLR with Pano Head and a diagonal Fisheye lens with around 180 degree field of view. Best of luck!

Thank you for that tip! that really solves a lot of problems later on in the project.
For 1 it will snap with one side, if You press 2 it will snap another side also.
Its a good program! Cost is reasonable. Creating the tour is quick and fast, its just align, align, and align.
Thank you Andy for your shared knowledge.
Thanks for the video, the down to earth videos that I like
Glad you like them!

Thanks I appreciate the feedback.
I get you. Messed up my first tour also. Had them do it and ruined it altogether. Thanks for this! Looking forward for more.
Great tut, thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. About to start my first tour creation now
Good luck!
not bad at all! good job!
Thank you for putting this together; I did enjoy it and it will be very helpful.
Very good
Thanks for the tuturial. It helped me get started. Looking forward to learning more about it.
Looking at doing tours over here in the UK. thanks for the clip I'll be using this software.
That's awesome, It gets easier the more you use it
Thank you for sharing your learnings!! Great video!
My pleasure!

No measurements, but yes you should get level in every room.
Thank you for the valuable tip @Todd Smith
Extremely useful - very well explained... Appreciate your efforts
Thank you very much

If you have a iPhone 13 or iPad with LiDAR you can use the Polycam app to creat the same thing. I have a video on that too.
Hi Andy.....extremelly good the tutorial. What tool is the pivot from the floor?
I have a ricoh z1 camera. What tools do i need more? Thank you
I’m not sure I understand the question. I just nut my 360 camera on a monopod that can stick straight up. A tripod will work too.
Hey Andy, thanks for the great video! But how did you export the pictures? When I import the 360° images, it looks very wild and distorted 😄
Export the pictures from the 360 camera into an equirectangular format ( really long rectangle). that is what the program is expecting.
@@apeacock thank you! 😊

Thanks so much for this! Can you edit your own photos and use a DSLR? Would you need a panning device like the Syrp Genie Mini?
I’m really not sure. Always done it with a 360 cam. I think they Insta one x would be a heck of a lot easier than what you describe.
Hi Andy, is that the images straight from the camera or do you have to render first?
You have to export the picture out of the camera through the Insta360 software.

Thanks, unfortunately, I never revisited that issue. I did not find an answer. Please post if you end up figuring it out.

How we can shoot out door, as in out side the door need two shots showing main road to the house door, but while making 3d how should I do that

@@adeshtakale1288 no you can have two closed doors, the door frame must match up for the program to know that they are connected.
Can we export video for free plan of this tour ?
Good question. I think it needs to be hosted on their platform.
Have you had any success with using them to create the tour? Did they make mistakes & can you edit them after the fact?

Thanks! What did you use for your stand? I've been searching for the perfect stand for this and cant find one that works well for this.
So I used the Insta360 selfie stick onto a magnet and then I uses a 2.5 lb weight as the base. Worked out pretty well

I bought a round base microphone stand. You have to buy a 1/4" adapter that threads onto to mic stand to mount your camera to it.
Great 👍🏻
