For real ! It just means more unless they don’t like who you played ? If the sec doesn’t mean more they should just say play Tennessee Georgia bama u of sc and ole miss otherwise you are a nobody
As a buckeye fan this screams trap game. Sarc is acting like they are huge underdogs, which they aren’t. Texas is a great team and everyone should realize that. Ohio state even though playing fantastic football the last 2 games has to play perfect. They have not played like this all year. I’ve watched every game, if they play like the last 2 games they’ll be fine. If they play like they did against TTUN they won’t. Ohio state is playing together and with an edge. I think they’ll win it in a closer game but not like everyone thinks. 35-24, a late score to put it away.
The only reason I think you may be wrong is that Texas (much like Oregon) is considered to be their biggest hurdle left. They’re favored, but Texas is a lot more dangerous than PSU or ND on offense. Also, Will Howard is 0-3 against them. He’s going to want this bad and luckily Day isn’t in that position this game or he’d go into his shell again. I think a lot has to go right for Texas to pull this off. Based off of the first two rounds of the playoff, the only team capable of beating Ohio State right now might be Ohio State.
I agree. The talent is pretty even and the Sarc factor worries me......Texas has the best defense we have faced, they also have the advantage of home field (ok...pretty close to home field), and with the O line. All these things could help them pull it off. But I think the OSU D can step it up and give Ewers fits with our coverages and the pass rush....ASU D line gave up a lot of size to Texas but outplayed them for most of the game...OSU D line is a lot bigger and better than ASU, I think that's where we can turn the tides and win the game. Two great teams. I hope the Bucks can carry their momentum into this one and bring one home for Woody. GO Bucks!
I believe in the buz saw theory as Josh pointed out. If you watch these guys talk, they're playing for the love of eachother and getting to play another game together. Momentum is a real thing and ohio state is on a mission
This type of confidence from media and coaches in one team winning always makes me nervous. If there is one thing that can motivate a team to play their absolute best game to beat another team it's the perception of disrespect. Texas has the talent to beat us if they play their best game.
when he built his defense at Okie State I think everyone could see it. having a top notch safety and pass rush though would make a lot of coordinators look good.
Ewers will need to play a flawless game for Texas to win. If Arizona State can shut down Texas's running game, Ohio State can do it in its sleep. Or maybe this will become the start of Arch Manning's legend.

My preseason pick for the final two teams, but I was expecting more from UT. Zero doubt in my mind OSU is on a mission and will not be stopped. This game and the next will be very large win margins for OSU. It is a well built and coached team out to prove to everyone, even its fan who abandond them, they are #1.
We never abandoned the players, just Day. The game plan against TTUN was horrendous and I don't care how much talent a team has, when you play into the other teams strengths and not use your strengths and utilize your superior talent like Day and Kelly did, you're going to lose. We didn't lose that game because the players didn't play hard, we lose that game solely because of the moronic game plan.
I hate the fact everyone is anointing Oho State the champions! Do you remember Xichigan and Nebraska ? We only beat Penn State by 7, its hard to beat a team twice in one season, if they get by Notre Dame. OH
Every game is different, and that is why they play the game. This will definitely be way more competitive. Turnovers do happen, and officiating can be good or bad. It's going to be a great game. I will take my Buckeyes by 7. Good Luck.
Everyone thought the Oregon game would be competitive as well, I like that you are humble and all, but I'll take my Buckeyes by double digits in a game that's not really that close.

I don’t know how you feel that way, after beating the crap out of Tennessee and the number one team Oregon. You should be confident they are playing like champions right now. No one will stop them and you can feel it.
As a Texas fan everyone picking against them is giving me a ton of faith. You can’t give a locker room with that amount of talent this much bulletin board material and expect them to get blown out
You can equally give the Buckeyes enough BB material by ESPN stacking the deck against Ohio State. 1 By the seeding and 2. ESPN (owning the CFP) and placing all 4 quarterfinal games in the SEC footprint. This game being played in DFW is equivalent to being scheduled in Cleveland.
@ yeah but everyone except Texas fans think this is a forgone conclusion and even OSU players and coaches have to hear that. Not saying it’s going to be a Texas dub but this isn’t going to be a cakewalk
Both teams are playing with bulletin board material you can’t just hang your hat on that. Oregon fans thought the same thing would work for them but we all saw what happened. I don’t think OSU will blow out Texas either but when Ohio State is playing their A game they simply can’t lose, not even an opinion it’s an NFL Jr team in college lol
I understand the logic behind the 'rat poison' argument. Thing is, that typically applies to teams that are undefeated or have accomplished things like winning their conference. The Buckeye players and coaches (not the fans) aren't satisfied yet and they certainly aren't watching Klatt or Pate's or anyone else's predictions inside the WHAC; Conversely, those screens are showing the Nov. 30th game on repeat.
For some reasons im getting the 2005 national championship vibes against the "Best Team ever" in USC.......we saw how that played out.....wish we had Vince Young out there😊
Yea idk how u getting that vibe with ewers as ya QB 😭😭 and why Texas acting like they some underdog, they technically have home field advantage and are the higher ranked team lol
Born & bred Buckeye here. When the brackets were revealed, I dropped $200 on Texas to win The Prize. But after watching OSU FINALLY play 2 games in the manner of "the most talented team in the country", I'm thinking my $$ is history. IMO, the only chance Texas has is if Day/Kelly revert to early season form.
I like both programs and I think the Buckeyes have every edge except OL. OSU wins unless... Howard is 0-3 against Texas and if that history thing is in his head it will make a difference. Even if Howard has a bad game, Sark has never solved Knowles' Defensive schemes. Hoping for a good entertaining game.
@@denisdooley1540 Nah, I will root for my Bucks Friday. But if they don't play like they did the last 2 games, Texas WILL beat them. Sark is very capable of outcoaching Day.
As a Texas fan WE HAVE TO SHOW UP ON OFFENSE!! In some aspects defense will have challenges but will keep up with osu talent but the key for Texas in this game is establishing the run game no question!!! WIN THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE!
I believe Texas will need both quarterbacks in order to win, because Ohio State, looks like a team out on a mission, but I do believe there is a level Texas is capable of getting too, and they will need to get to that level, in order to win this game.
I think just go with Manning exclusively tbh. At worst he does about as well as Ewers would do, but he has a ton more upside which they probably need in this game to have a chance
said the same thing! bond and helm gonna have a good game and manning in the mix would be a great idea to throw them off! to get some big runs or a good throw or two
I don't think the buzzsaw theory applies here. In 2019 LSU won every game and the only games that weren't blowouts were against top 10 opponents. tOSU this season has lost twice, once to an unranked Michigan and needed a fourth qtr comeback to beat a NU team that finished 6-6. The Buckeyes are peaking well but they aren't '95 NU, '01 Miami or '05 Texas where the only question about the outcome was the size of the win.
If we dominate Texas too what are you gonna say? You’re looking at broad picture instead of the details like our oline being injury ridden and replacements being found DURING that Nebraska game. Like losing to Michigan was Days fault for trying to prove a point. But hey, when they win it all don’t forget to remind people they still lost 2 games like it mattered
As a Buckeye fan,I totally agree. That LSU team was different than any college football team, especially the eye test. I knew if you didn’t score 50 against them, you were done pretty much.
Based on a full season of data last week, this game was basically a pick em. Now one week later it's all buckeyes, we'll see if the full season or the one week was more accurate
and they got smacked in the face the 1st qtr trying to get up to game time speed. Happened to all the 4 week bye teams against the teams that played a week prior with the exception of GA playing a 1st start backup QB.
All teams had the same time off…it’s just if you were a conference championship contender then you were pushed back an extra week, but still ample time off for all.
Texas hasn't really changed anything in regards to their scheme this season. They basically are what they are, and 10 days isn't long enough to make significant alterations. Ohio State had 3-4 weeks, that's 21-28 days to implement and tweak their offense. We're coming in with less for others to view and adapt to.
@@willellis502 having 4 weeks might be nice for a coach but 4 weeks off when the other team played the prior week doesnt help the players and slow starts adjusting to game speed.
Best part about being an 0 state fan, you come outta this game with a win. Either you win cuz you beat Texas or you win cuz didn't lose you beat yourself! Already got that natty!!
Ohio State's offensive line is the key , they have played well since the loss to Michigan . When losing their center to injury on November 18th, they stumbled . Now they've had time to jell , more improvement is needed against Texas .
Everyone said the Oregon vs Ohio State would be the best matchup and look how that turned out. We can't go saying this certain game will be the best matchup then when one of the blows the other one out go and say oh wait this other game will be a better matchup. You can't keep saying that, LOL.
As a horns fan I totally agree. We just haven’t played our best ball and keep getting wins somehow. I think we have met our match and we will move on to Arch manning. Even better days are coming. We will win the national title in the next 2 years.
@ oh they for sure did but no one in the media picked Texas to win that game. USC was on a 34 game win streak, had won back to back nattys and had two Heisman trophy winners on their team along with a load of NFL talent.
You were so high on Texas this entire year. Picking them to win every game, commenting how explosive they are, how good the defense is. Now its the "who have they played" argument and not giving them a shot. Consistency.
@@robert5755 the running back quit same thing with Tennessee they both left the game when the team was getting blown out they didn't wanna get hit anymore
@@the_greek74 I read where Will Howard said Chip Kelly got him to rely more on checkdown throws rather than trying to force things. That's something Texas does a lot. Get the ball in the hands of playmakers and let them try to make the first guy miss. I think Texas might be more aggressive in attempting mid-range throws in this game to keep pace with Ohio State.
I don’t care what anyone says. If you’re a buckeye fan or a big fan, you have that feeling in your gut that feels like butterflies when you watch Ohio State, that feeling is knowing the team you’re watching is playing the way a champion would play. The violence on defense, the execution on offense. OSU will not lose. There’s no one left to stop them and they’re going to keep proving that. I wouldn’t doubt them right now.
If Texas can't run the ball, they're in real trouble. Quinn Ewers is very inconsistent. If good Quinn shows up for all four quarters, Texas may stay with OSU. If bad Quinn shows up (as was the case against Georgia), OSU wins fairly easily. If Arch Manning had played more this year and therefore started this game, Texas would have a better chance because of Arch's mobility and Quinn's lack of mobility. FUN FACT: Ewers started out at OSU (after he skipped his senior year in high school) snd transferred to Texas. Quinn got a LOT of NIL money at OSU for the half-year he was there, before NIL money really exploded.
Fun fact, some of us in Ohio were betting on if he was going to last more than a year at OSU. We all expected him to end up at Texas as soon as he could make NIL in that state. I thought he was going to be good and think he has played really well for the Longhorns. He only had 2 handoffs in his time at OSU.
The Tenn and Oregon RBs got hit hard and knocked out of the game. Its not like they rolled an ankle in wednesday practice. The Oregon RB had 14 yards on 7 carries.
Ive been a Ewers critic this year but he keeps shutting my mouth especially last week. Give me Texas, and putting money on them. Ewers will ball out!! Lets goooo. HOOK EM’
@ people out here really think osu is invincible or what? They lost to Michigan at home. Texas has the defense to contain them, i believe they will and i also think ewers will show out. 🤷♂️
Same. Ewers is unpredictable at times but when it counts he’s usually clutch. He can’t help who doesn’t make the plays. He can’t allow any interceptions and Berts gotta make all his kicks! Someone call Justin Tucker and make him put a wig on

Same thing was said in 2006 against the USC juggernaut. “They couldn’t be beat.” It’s football, just depends on who shows up. If OSU is AS dominant as everyone says, they don’t lose to a depleted Michigan team. That alone shows it’s can be anyone’s day.
Oregon fan, I've watch all of Oregon's games and every big game I could with the SEC powerhouses. I've seen a lot of good football. What has been said all season is that nobody has that dominating game that is clearly above everyone else. That was true until the playoffs hit. That is no longer true. There are a lot of really good football teams. Ohio State is the only elite team, and they put EVERYONE on notice. Ohio State's best game is unbeatable this season. They win by 17.
Yes and what happened next game Ohio State was angry and they finally played like they should it may go either way but to use Michigan as an example and to not look at it as the biggest rivalry in sports in where the games don't always go the way its predicted the coaches made bad choices and the kicker balked All to say that you can't go by stuff like that

On paper, Texas gets worked. Texas lost to UGA twice, and their best wins are the 9th place SEC team, #16 Clemson, and #11 ASU. Texas defense gave up 900+ yards and 55 points to Clemson and ASU. Gave up more passing yards in those two games than OSU allowed in total yards against TN and Oregon combined. OSU has been playing lights out in the playoffs. Putting up 8 sacks and -26 rushing yards against the #1 team who had already beaten them in the regular season is astounding.
Can't believe there are Texas fans that saw what OSU did to Tennessee and Oregon and feel they have a chance at all. Only way you have a shot is if OSU plays a terrible game and turns the ball over 5 times. Texas has as much talent as any big program in the country, but you simply haven't been able to put it together for 4 quarters in a dominating fashion this season. @ we did when are yall gonna start to realize that sark is just as responsible Quinn? Who takes a deep shot on 2nd and 4th run the fucking football. Or if u must pass keep it to a shot in the seams or a crosser. At this point in the season turnovers are like turbo juice to the other team. It was 24-8 with the longhorns chillin last 6 mins of the game. Sark has repeatedly shown horrible adapting capabilities in some of these games. We won with 60 snaps they had 97. No matter how good ur defense is they can not hold up to consecutive snaps triggered by sark and his terrible play calling in the 3rd and 4th quarter. That touchdown on 4th and 13 was because Quinn picked up there defense.
It ain’t all Quinn’s fault if you know what ur talking about. Sark routinely goes away from what works so he can “try “ new shit which leads. On paper we have a great team and only a coach could make you play down to teams u have comfortable leads on that come back. Both Clemson and asu were getting thoroughly dominated through 3.5 quarters of play. Those 3 and outs truly hurt us in the second half

I feel like there hasn’t been an IT game for Texas, they should’ve lost to ASU, Ohio is a freight train playing pissed off football, oddly I think losing to Michigan made them tighten up, they’ll win it all
texas has made teams turnover the ball which is huge. I believe bond and helm will have a good game. What would throw a wrench in the mix is if manning comes in every now and then to throw them off and make some huge runs or great throws! that could make texas have that edge!

We never abandoned the players, just Day. The game plan against TTUN was horrendous and I don't care how much talent a team has, when you play into the other teams strengths and not use your strengths and utilize your superior talent like Day and Kelly did, you're going to lose. Up until the last 4 minutes I thought we were too! What a turn around!
Couldn't beat Georgia twice and barely beat ASU. No mental gymnastics will help them.

I like both programs and I think the Buckeyes have every edge except OL. OSU wins unless... Howard is 0-3 against Texas and if that history thing is in his head it will make a difference. Use Manning as a running qb and swap him and Ewers out and use Isaiah Bond if he’s healthy.
If Isaiah Bond were 100% he could have a big impact, but he still seems physically limited since his injury against OU.
I think just go with Manning exclusively tbh. At worst he does about as well as Ewers would do, but he has a ton more upside which they probably need in this game to have a chance

Based on a full season of data last week, this game was basically a pick em. Now one week later it's all buckeyes, we'll see if the full season or the one week was more accurate
AZS had 4 weeks to prepare for Texas
Oregon had 4 weeks to prepare for OSU
and they got smacked in the face the 1st qtr trying to get up to game time speed.

I don’t care what anyone says. If you’re a buckeye fan or a big fan, you have that feeling in your gut that feels like butterflies when you watch Ohio State, that feeling is knowing the team you’re watching is playing the way a champion would play. How soon you forget. Michigan's D Line is the best. Very few dispute that.
They left 14 points on the field at the Rose bowl on two REALLY viable pick 6's. They can play a lot better.

Texas has as much talent as any big program in the country, but you simply haven't been able to put it together for 4 quarters in a dominating fashion this season. OSU has and twice against two very good teams
Edit: up until the end of the 4th quarter Texas played the best game they have all season and Ohio played one of their worst games all season and they still beat Texas by 14 points
@@davyboy9397 got any points the headlines haven’t made yet. This is the game to get to the natty. Don’t talk too soon. Both sides equally want it. We missed out last year. We got a lot to fight for too in the south.
@tretempleton5358
If you had dominated Arizona State like you should have, maybe I would see your point, but at no time this year, including the post season has Texas looked great.
Quinn Ewers gonna keep getting blindsided like a freshman QB when he faces good defenses ?
@ man idk what’s up with that truly. What’s crazier is that Quinn and the o line are playing worse than the year we went 5-7. I hope it’s just a lack of health but man idk understand the regression of that particular unit at times.
Their first two "games" were over in about 8 minutes or so into the first quarter?
About 6-8 minutes into the 2nd quarter those games were virtually over.
I feel like there hasn’t been an IT game for Texas, they should’ve lost to ASU, Ohio is a freight train playing pissed off football, oddly I think losing to Michigan made them tighten up, they’ll win it all
Didn’t realize the Ohio Bobcats were in the CFP
@@BigCoffeeOnline I've seen people make that mistake several times on several videos.
texas has made teams turnover the ball which is huge. I believe bond and helm will have a good game. What would throw a wrench in the mix is if manning comes in every now and then to throw them off and make some huge runs or great throws! that could make texas have that edge!
@@westtrumpet7 a genuius such as knowles will probably game plan for that
Texas vs Notre Dame in the final.
My Grandma said " Every dog has his day."💜💛
38-21 Buckeyes win. Go Bucks!!!!!
If it's a shootout, Ohio St by multiple scores. If it's a rockfight, Texas can pull the win and they certainly have the personnel to make it one
Texas will beat the Buckeyes by 4 touchdowns !!! cant wait
You sound as dumb as the OSU fan who said the same exact thing.
Josh, you really don’t like Bama. I watched that game when Joe Burrow went into Tuscaloosa and it was close throughout, LSU went up 2 scores and Bama got within 3, every time. What did it end up, 45-42 I think, that’s close.
Ohio State will win this game and possibly the National Championship. I think they will embarrass Texas final score 42-21 Ohio State.
Can’t wait! 🤘🏽
Of all people, Josh Pate the first person to point out that Texas hasn’t been impressive against any top caliber team.
Michigan, (who beat Ohio St), A&M, and Georgia won the second game with Texas dominating the numbers.
Except the one that beat you.
If you think he's the first then you aren't paying attention.
Texas lost to georgia by 3 points in the first sec championship game to ever go to OT.
if that’s not impressive, son, i don’t know what is.
@@tullfarley4962that was the worse Georgia team in 10 years and Texas couldn’t win one at home.
This game is gonna be all defense. Low scoring and the team that finally breaks a big play will get the W
