Guys, I am a Metal guitarist and I would love to do a collaboration with you on the Heavier side of Nu Metal and I know a lot of Brutal bands in the style of Nu Metal. I love the Pennsylvania Accent you both have LOL. I will be opening my channel here real soon which will be a Metal Music Recording Studio Channel and I will be playing from Classic Thrash, Death, Metalcore and last but not least Nu Metal as well! This album is a perfect representation of a Non-Mainstream Nu Metal. I would argue Chimaira did this record because of the crowd their peers hanging around like Deftones, Eastcide, Ill Nino, early Soulfly, and more at the time.
I loved this album when I was a little nu-metal obsessed kid, but listening back, it strikes me how much of this album was influenced by the wave of 90's metalcore bands from the Midwest, like Disembodied, Integrity and Ringworm, as well as the member's previous bands Ascension and Skipline. Fair to say the band is a major inspiration to the Nu-metalcore wave we're currently seeing in the metalcore and hardcore scenes.
