You need to hop on the Dimash train. It is an endless trip of beauty in sight and sound and emotional response shared by him and us.
Any song he sings…and they are endless…. will gratify and lift your mind body and spirit… and will heal and refresh with all and unusual frequencies.
He is one of a kind, who does not need to be compared….as there is no one to compare him to.
His staging, travels and personal and family life are just as interesting as his singing, and he is policed by fandom in all the best ways as his fans are very good quality too. Unlimited videos and pics are taken and posted so that those with peers or those that are alone can all enjoy his home life, his ethnic nationality, and his travels. Being Asian, Kazakh from Kazakhstan, he is very humble and has beautiful Asian manners, and became famous from his first trip in China, his first song as the first contestant in the I Am Singer contest of 2017 for advanced and popular artists from China. He was asked in to fill a gap… as a wildcard… and became runner up, as the winner had to be fluent in Mandarin to act as an ambassador for music for a year. He has spent quite a bit of time in China for various contests and shows there and also in Russia, getting lots of awards and experience in the public eye. So by now he is as accomplished as anyone onstage and was awarded as a National Treasure in his homeland, as he always acts as an ambassador of arts and peace showing off ethnic Kazakhstan during his many concerts all around the world.
On top of that, he was destined for this from before he was born, and his publicity is broadcasting new levels of understanding in music and it’s education everywhere through the internet and on into life.
His music is used by some clinics to heal depression, and some of his fans claim levels of healing and refreshment from frequently listening and watching his songs and performances.
So, watch his space, and get embroiled, and you will be blessed with treasured memories as if he was related.
His family, nation, associates and friends are all beautiful people….he brings the best out in everyone, and he broadcasts love from the stage and all around like no one else.
Your response to him is very exciting, and Thankyou.

From watching some interviews with him, with his parents; or watching fancam videos of him with fans, off-camera, he tends to be shy! He’s exceedingly humble. He is generous with charity donations. He’s very respectful towards his fans. He has made a special effort to meet with an elderly Australian woman in a wheelchair who traveled to a concert in China to meet him. Also, a young teenage girl on cancer (?) treatments whose hair was gone and whose face was bloated from medications.
He had photos taken hugging each of them.
ON stage, he’s confident; committed; he BECOMES the music. He knows his instrument well, and practices 3 hours a day. To protect his voice, he doesn’t drink coffee or any hot beverages; nor any iced beverages. Doesn’t smoke or drink alcohol. He swims daily for exercise and breath control. Plays 7 instruments well. Has been studying English since late 2017 (I think); may still be studying Mandarin Chinese; and I believe he is still working on his Ph.D. in music. Has a good sense of humor. Is VERY family-oriented. Not married yet. Will be 28 years old in May, 2022.

As great as this performance was, the most important and special part was the bald guy with the white shirt standing and clapping when most everyone else was in their seat. This man is Igor Krutoy. He is a highly decorated Russian composer and is extremely wealthy. He was also retired....until Dimash. He came out of retirement to write songs especially for Dimash. As you go on your Dimash journey, you will see him at piano for many of his performances. The two are easily the greatest writing team alive. Since the songs are written especially for Dimash, nobody else, male or female can sing them solo.

there are lots of direct and indirect connections between singers and composers, and lots of opportunities to go down many rabbit holes when hearing one and following all the suggestions that youtube gives for them. among them:
      - Igor wrote a song 25 years ago for Alla Pugacheva, which 15 and 10 years ago was performed by Lara Fabian (an idol of Dimash, and she is really worth a playlist of her own), and then by Dimash: "love is like a dream"
      - Igor also composed "ti amo cosi" which was performed years ago by Lara Fabian and two other singers, and on his birthday "iceskating" concert was performed by Lara, Dimash and Aida
      - "Adagio" was composed around 300(!!!) years ago as an instrumental, got vocals 15 years ago by Lara, and was also performed by Dimash
all of these performances are available on youtube, and most of them with Igor at the piano. and ready to be reacted to, too :-)
another suggestion: Lara Fabian's cover of "je suis malade" (watch it completely, including a bit after the song ends)

Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. He's funny, sweet, kind,, loving and slightly dorky.
Off stage he tends more towards jeans and trainers although because he's 6'3" he does tend to get gifted a lot of clothes by designers who want him to show off their current ranges so it's usually higher end designer and with a definite twist.

One of the things I really love about him is that, despite access to a lot of designer outfits, he also often wears clothes gifted to him from his Dears even if any other young man his age might not find it “cool.” He wears it proudly because he wants to show his Dears how much it means to him.

Another thing, often overlooked, is his almost ambidextrous mic handling technique -- which also allows him to turn so he can play to all side of the audience (plus means he doesn't strain from muscle cramping from holding the mic in a single position -- something for performers to note when on stage)

    • @YourOnlineSingingCoach
      @YourOnlineSingingCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I read this three times... tried to stop myself from replying.. but I just can't.
      "Almost ambidextrous mic technique"?????
Dude... the only people who don't have an "ambidextrous mic technique" are one-armed singers!
"It stops him getting cramps" said nobody ever.
I've been a semi-pro and pro musician for over 40 years.
I've played in at least a dozen bands, done session work and guest spots live.
I've attended over 500 concerts of practically every modern genre.
I've yet to see a singer who doesn't swap hands.
I don't know who upvoted this, but it has got to be the single most mundane non-"thing" I've ever seen referenced on social media!
Stop press!!!! Singer closes mouth on occasions between phrases!
Apparently it helps him not catch flies!

    • @BillTarling
      @BillTarling 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@theorc9098 - I also spent many years in the music industry, as well as film and television... what I mean by "Almost ambidextrous mic technique" is that many singers tend to favor one hand (their primary hand) and often just switch when it gets tired holding the mic -- but apart from very seasoned performers, they don't use the switching in order to help play to multiple sections of the audience [and far too many simply hold the mic constantly in front of their mouth, and don't understand mic handling or control (which is something that really should be taught in music classes or by coaches).
If you watch his performance closely, you'll notice he's frequently switching hand back and forth (even every couple of lines)for some pieces.
i.e. he's very mic aware, and adept in proper handling (again, just pointing it out as a good example of the small things newer performs can learn from early on to help them)
Another main reason for "almost" ambidextrous is simply because Dimash isn't ambidextrous [he's right handed if I remember correctly]
And yes, professionals know to switch to avoid cramping up or tension to distract... many newer performers haven't been taught the importance, and tend to cramp or tense up because of early nerves
Mainly the comment was just something to note, especially for music and voice students -- mic handling and awareness

If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video from Opera 2 where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother. And now he had to go to China alone, doesn’t know the country, doesn’t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn’s speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional.
I always recommend to watch his videos to the end. He usually thanks everyone who accompanied him musically or speaks to the audience. In some videos made by Dears who have met Dimash in person you can see his personality. The ones from his time in China, where he took part in The Singer cometition are very funny and give a good insight into his friendly and respectful nature. I’ve seen videos of him talking to fans on the train or singing to them. How he comforts a fan after she hit her head. Or how he jumps up from his seat at the airport to make a seat available for an old woman. There are so many examples.
He is such a nice, respectful and humble person He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and rare interviews. During his concert in Dubai before he performed War and Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this.

I do prefer Sinful Passion to SOS. Although I acknowledge that SOS introduces the audience to a broad variety of Dimash’s vocal styles, Sinful Passion is a more emotive and texturally rich song in my opinion. The ethnic section you recognize is a traditional lament sung by Kazakhs during funerals, etc. Dimash added this in honour of the late singer of A studio (The original artists.). The pianist is the composer and the guitarist was also an original band member. Good reaction.

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash will possibly go down in history as the greatest vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery.
If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list I usually recommend in semi-chronological order: S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse), either the Slavic Bazaar or the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version. His covers from the same competition of Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Eric Carmen's 1975 "All by Myself" (repopularized by Celine Deion), and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also, from the same show, Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daididau, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there is Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Love is like a Dream, Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions (either the movie trailer or his internet live concert performance), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise). His more operatic-sounding performances are Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet w/Aida Garifullina), Tu Vas Me Détruire (duet w/Sundet Baigojin), Question of Honour (duet w/Zarina Altynbayeva), and the aforementioned Olimpico (Ogni Pietra).
His traditional and Chinese songs are also impressive: Adai+Daididau, Samal Tau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), Qairan Elim (Holy Land), Elim Menin (My Homeland), Karagym-ai, Thousand of Miles - A Common Dream, and Ómir Óter. And then there are Drunken Concubine & Diva Dance (duet with Li Yugang), Without You, Love Of Tired Swans, Where Love Lives, Unforgettable Day (Gakku Concert), I Miss You, Passione, Give Me Love, Marigold, Golden, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, his latest music video "Be With Me," just to name a few.
His latest songs, "Fly Away," "Stranger," and "Ave Maria," recently debuted live at New Wave 2021, and the latter two are on a whole new level. Dimash performs an alternate version of "Stranger" on the "Shine! Super Brothers S2" Youku Show that is simply mind-boggling and well-worth checking out. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/thbgh0qIscI/w-d-xo.html
Dimash also recently released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese.
Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

Great reaction! If you liked that "ethnic moment" in the middle of "Sinful Passion," you should definitely check out Dimash's cover of Lionel Ritchie's song, "Hello." In that performance, Dimash mixes his eastern and western influences and styles in a way that is both surprising and ultimately transcendent. "Transcendent," btw, is not a word I throw around a lot when talking about music but, in the case of Dimash singing "Hello," it definitely applies. The first half of that song is solid and cool (with interesting and unusual instrumentation) but the second half is pure magic.
And, if you'd like to hear more of Dimash's really rich lower register and the more classical side of his voice, try his performance of "Olimpico." There are a few versions of it out there (some of them with really bad sound and/or video quality) but the one on Igor Krutoy's channel (Krutoy being the composer of the song) is by far the best. Check it out: th-cam.com/video/dkPS6t84qg4/w-d-xo.html
SIDE SUGGESTION: One of Dimash's biggest idols and role models is Lara Fabian (and, if you know her work, you can definitely hear her heavy influence on Dimash's arrangements and singing style). She's a little more well known in America and Europe than Dimash so you might already be familiar with her BUT, if not, I'd love to see you react to a Lara Fabian performance because she truly is spectacular. My suggestion would be her performance of "Je Suis Malade" from her "From Lara With Love" show. She performs the song differently seemingly every time she sings it - and they're all good - but that particular performance is just a perfect piece of art, beginning to end, and a masterclass in stage presence, acting/living within the song, etc. If you haven't already seen it, definitely give it a look and listen. th-cam.com/video/dVvlmpo5g9k/w-d-xo.html

Dismash has no peer. He delivers a song like no one else can. He crosses barriers. He’s an authentic vocal artist with genius on a par with Mozart, Rembrandt, or Michelangelo. What a treasure to have and witness in our time.
Personally Dimash is completely down to earth. He will state over and over he’s just a regular guy. Yes....t shirts and sneakers. Check out some of his interviews or behind the scenes videos. He’s fun and sweet and sometimes precocious. But also quite serious.

This was another very enjoyable reaction and insightful analysis. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. FYI, Dimash did not win “The Voice” in China. He took part in an invite-only competition in 2017 for established professional and successful singers, which is called “I Am A Singer.” The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash finished the competition in 2nd place.
The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts.
Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh TH-camr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath.
This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him.
There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Here is the link, in case you want to watch it. He is consistently perfect. th-cam.com/video/BJdR5aHzCaM/w-d-xo.html

Dimash lights up the planet with his voice! The fast riff in the middle is an ethnic Yakutian riff according to Dimash's father. Congratulations to A-Studio kazakh group and to Baigali Serkebaev (the man who plays the piano and who composed the music of this song in 1998). Bravo Dimash!! (once again) 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

I've noticed how all the musicians watch him for signals, like the raised finger to know what to do next. Pianist Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to tour with Dimash. Dimash gives the flowers to children's hospitals. He also swims every day to practice holding his breath so he can do those long runs like here in Sinful Passion.
You would like his song "Ikanaide". Very breathy and emotional. It's from the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
Please check out a really great Acapella group called
"Home Free". They are 5 guys, a high tenor, a tenor, a baritone, a Basso Profundo, and a beatboxer. They do a great rendition of Johnny Cash's song "Ring Of Fire".
They feature Avi Kaplan former Bass singer of Pentatonix on this song.
I think you will find their voices mesmerizing as millions of their fans do.
    Thanks!

One thing you'll always notice about dimash that he never finishes and break out of character until his musicians are done as well even after finishing his vocals before. As a multi-instrumentalist (plays 7 instruments but when asked once denied himself as instrumentalist because he thought it takes whole life of dedication with an instrument to be called as an instrumentalist rather than having learnt to play an instrument), he has composed several of his songs and joked about being with lot of girls when he used to sing in female choirs as a child. Both of his parents were singers and told once how when he was 2, he used to run to the stage to bow when his parents used to finish singing a song. He started learning music from the age of 5.

    Hi all!
Why do I like Dimash Kudaibergen - " DQ "?
We are all different, but we are united by the so-called " interpersonal religions" - this can be sports, family, profession, music, art and so on. They give us hope that another person will bring us salvation and happiness, that one person (or group of people) is superior to all others.
All of us his fans are participants in the interpersonal religion " DQ ".
Undoubtedly, he is a genius, vocal teachers from all over the world confirm this.
Thanks to watching the reactions to his performances, I improved my English, began to understand music, learning about octaves, registers, voice control, timbre, tones, soprano, and baritone.
Of course, taste is subjective. To be honest, my preference is a bit different too. For example, I can listen endlessly and listen to Pink Floyd , Dire Straits , songs by Sh. Kaldayakov.
But why do I watch all these reactions like crazy, and thousands or millions of people do it?
I think it's GENUINE EMOTIONS, that's probably what viewers are craving for. Not all emotions are sincere, but we watch DQ in hopes of experiencing those emotions. Sincere tears, astonishment, changes in facial expressions, smiles and admiration.
I understood this when I was waiting for my daughter at the international airport after a year of studies in the States. People next to me stood there stone cold, up until the moment they saw their relatives, children, mothers, sisters they had not seen for a long time. They faces were glowing with the array of emotions we all need.
Unfortunately, we either hide our emotions or falsify them. In America and the West there is a "cult of success" - you must smile at everyone, even if things are going badly for you, you must show that everything is fine with you. In the Soviet Union, if you smiled, it means that you are doing too well, and for this they can check why you are doing well, you understand. In other words, sincere emotions are a rarity everywhere.
Picture this, a vocal teacher from Italy, who seems to be a collected person with no facial expressions. As soon as she heard Dimash’s voice, something changed in her, she remembered something important in her life, it touched her deeply. She rejuvinated, I saw another person , beautiful, passionate, proud, inspired.
We don’t know each other well, and sometimes we don’t even know what kind of individual is inside. Behind different appearances hide different souls.
Perhaps this is the secret of Dimash, he evokes sincere emotions in people, and we miss in.
“The station saw more sincere kisses than the registry office. And the walls of the hospital may have heard more sincere prayers than the church.”

I would be interested in more analysis, but maybe not from Russian shows... not because of events, but because Russian shows are known to not be live recordings. His Barclay Concert was exceptionally fun, as was his Gakku concert. Also, I can watch intact performances anywhere. I am interested in vocal analysis that does not talk over the singer, but that pauses the video frequently, and backtracks when necessary, in order to appreciate all the details.
He is SOOOOOOO different when not singing, his entire face changes!
