When I was younger, I used to think the dog was crying because he didn't get a duck. Now, I CANT TELL. Looks like he's laughing but sounds like he's crying.
It's a laugh. If he was crying, he wouldn't be holding his paw on his belly, plus he would have tears coming from his eyes.
I can't get enough of this stuff! There's something so intriguing about these early title glitches. Kill screens are really interesting. Great job as always.

Nice; I remember having tons of fun with good ole Duck Hunt back in the day. Definitely never got to the Kill Screen before.
Great addition to a great channel, I felt cartridge tilting was on its way out as a log of the episodes were disc game related

I dunno, this might mean that we won't get to see any more crazy glitches caused by tilting a cartridge. I always liked it when that aspect of the show got involved, so it's sad to me to see that go. Oh well, the description said that this was just a new show so I hope that Cartridge Tilting will still go on.
Well, cartridge tilting results in glitches, so it would still fall under this show. I loved it when he did some cartridge tilting, but it just barely ever happened, and that annoyed me a little bit. Not that the title really matters, of course :p
And hey, the intro is still featuring the cartridge "tilting" animation, so it seems that it's still part of the show!

Duck Hunt was one of the many NES games I've never played. But thanks to the Wii U VC, I finally played it and it's awesome!!!
I thought it had something to do with them saving space by only programing the 10's in the level slot.

I remember me and my dad playing Duck Hunt when I was little. Every time the dog would laugh at him, he would say (joking of course) "we would get our bellies filled if we killed the dog and cooked him instead". Lol.

Duck Hunt was fun back in the day on the NES for sure, but if I remember correct you could actually shoot the dog in the original arcade version of the game, damn I wish they would have put that in the home port.

If you were to point the zapper at a light-bulb, you could hit the ducks always, even when they go crazy on level "0". This works because on the zappers mechanics. When the trigger us pulled, the screen goes black with a white square where the duck was for one frame, the zapper behaves as a camera, checking for the light. Essentially, this means you could past the "end level" that was described, I don't know what happens next though.

Okay, I really thought the game was kinda trolling before but now its just outright f**kin' with us.
Round 0 is Duck Hunt's Final Destination. It's the last last stage in the game and it's the Omega version of the Duck Hunt Smash 4 stage. (I wonder what happens if you get to round [10]0 in the normal version of the stage, though...)

EASTER EGG HUNTER! I just found something that I've never seen before! On TH-cam, start up a new video, but before the video starts, press the arrow keys on your keyboard. You'll then realise you will be playing a game of SNAKE! I discovered a easter egg on my own! :D

Anyone who has ever tried this has definitely used the light bulb trick.
Is that a sealed Zapper?! That must have costed a shit load!
It doesn't have to do with "the level not having been made by the developers". It's a programming error. The game is generated based on the level number. however, because of memory constraints, the level counter can only hold 2 characters. it will actually go to level 100 (it's an 8-bit console, so it can count to 128 with those 8 bytes. the number 99 already uses 8 bytes so it should just count up). But you only see 1 of the zeroes. The other characters most likely overwrite a piece of memory that wasn't supposed to, thus creating glitches.

This happens in pacman on level 255 or 256 half the screen is playable the rest is just messed up.

You can control the ducks in a two player game if the second controller is plug in
I took this kill screen one step further. What I did is I put in a Game Genie code that makes it so you can beat a level without the Zapper plugged in. If Level 0 was beatable, it would just go back to Level 1.
I'm surprised I've never seen anything regard being able to control the ducks with the second player controller.

You have the first version of the zapper. It was later changed to the orange version because of some laws regarding toy guns.

RetroRoadshow I am not sure it is possible as sometimes the segments where the ducks are supposed to feature doesn't even appear it just goes straight back to the dog laughing at you. :)
It's all about the glitch
I've played that game a lot as a teenager. I didn't like the duck shooting modes, I've found these too much boring, and always turned the console off after a few dozens of rounds. The clay shooting mode was much more interesting and challenging to me.
I've managed several times to reach the round 0 while in clay shooting mode. The game was continuing to work normally, without any graphic glitches, and the round counter was incrementing by 1 from 0, so the game displayed round 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on

The score box displays a 6-digits number,
for a maximum of 999 999,
if my memory is good,
when reaching a score of 1 000 000,
the score restarted normally from 0.

I've never pushed the game far enough to make a second turn of the round counter; I was usually making a few rounds after the round 0 and then turned the console off, because I was sick of shooting these clay pigeons.

So, the ducks still show on lvl 0. Meaning that if u had a hack to complete every level by instantly shooting every duck that shows up, would lvl 0 be possible to finish? What would happen if so?...

some weeks ago, i bought an used zapper and duck hunt... but they arent working. i don t know if its because of my tv... but im still somehow sad about that :c

The zapper doesn't work on flatscreen TV's. You would need quite a old one for the zapper to work. Hope this helps a bit
if youre using a hdtv the zapper wont work. you need one of those old curved tvs
If you don't want to buy those TV's get the Wii U version.

Pokémon easter eggs. Any kind, any game. If you could include these on the list (the ones I have), it would be great! :D I don't know if many mainstream Pokémon games have many easter eggs (there are some in Pokémon X and Y hidden in character dialog, I know that), so any you can find would be awesome. :D

Yes, but there a a few people in the world who have beaten the last pacman kill screen. It requires memorazation because half the screen is glitched out and the level is upside down. Billy Mitchell completed a perfect pacman game.
