It’s good to see the extreme end of a life fully committed to exercise/diet/health and its motivational but for me it’s so committed it’s not relatable. For many who watch I would guess it is. I don’t know if there is a day in the life of someone who has a desk job, a commute, school runs, a dog, kids to shop for and feed but who trains 5 days - and does ok with diet but is passive too much.

What am I doing wrong? I am super active as well probably just as active as you granted I am older but I still can only eat about 2300 cal a day or I start to put on body fat.

      About 2300 cal a day?
Trying doing proper tracking of everything you eat for a week.
Our estimation can often be wildly wrong,a small snack here and a bit of extra oil can add up especially when we get fast food and go to restaurants. You could be off by like 500 calories Ive even seen people think they where eating 1000 calories less then they actually where.

A number of my friends told me that there was no way I was eating as much as I thought (about 3500) once I started working out more consistently and was still losing weight and feeling tired, so it made me start tracking calories, protein, and my weight to confirm.
Absolutely confirmed that I need more than that or I'm getting tired and feel pretty drained. 34 years old, 6'2, 170lbs-ish and also got a Fitbit to find out that I am usually walking 15-20k steps a day along with 4 strength workouts per week, and a good bit of general physical activity throughout each day.
Thanks for all your videos and straightforward approach to this stuff. I'm able to eat a ton of protein each meal with generally healthy ingredients and not many of them (other than spices and such). And I can always feel good about walking to get a giant ice cream cone now and then and know that I crushed the rest of my day.

I'm in a similar boat, similar age, feels good aye? Nothing like eating a raw honey sandwich and feeling good about it haha. The concept of g-flux goes hard, makes getting lean easier as well. Maintaining around 4000 calories and going into a deficit at 3500 is a lot easier/ sustainable then going from 2500 to 2000

its great to do this update. I actually love cycling carbs. I do carnivore, I love it, but there comes a time when you just dont love it anymore and your workouts suffer. Then I mix in carbs, I absolutely love it again! and then that goes for maybe 8 weeks and I feel slow and dont really enjoy it. I chop back to carnivore and I absolutely love it again. The sleeps, the mental clarity, ill drop a few kg and feel really fresh. I love not being in a diet "tribe" and just using each diet to let it feel fresh and new for me.

6 months ago was fall equinox. Yin builds. This is why yout energy dipped and you had to slow down. (domesticated) Humanity has to slow down for winter. People don't realize this despite that it's fundamental to cultivating health. Powering into winter depletes oneself year after year.

This was awesome! I think what would be awesome is to walk through or white board a typical macro calculator with average weight and body fat percentage and how different goals can impact the outcomes. Using concrete numbers would be great taking into account things like energy spent as well as consumed. Thanks, Marcus!
