    Marcus. I never hit my cals I'm supposed to eat daily. I hit the amount of protein I should be eating daily.. because of this, is there any concerns if I eat 'naughty' foods?

    Marcus, you eat way less meat & more supplements (protein pow) than I would've thought!?! I have 4 - 8 oz of meat almost every meal (chicken, turkey, beef, shrimp, salmon) & avg 250+ grams protein a day but I don't do any powders or supplements. Guess I'm lucky to have access to a kitchen all day, every day!!

    Tried to make the pancakes. After so thick. Added almond Mike to thin them. Still terrible. Help?

    • @marcusfilly
      @marcusfilly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a thick batter
      But the ratio of 70g oats, .5 cup cottage cheese, and 2 eggs usually works fairly good. You can add some water to thin the batter but just add it slowly

    • @mikestaceygilmore
      @mikestaceygilmore ปีที่แล้ว

      I doubled it but only did 2 eggs. So should have done 4 right?

    A little point on oats.
    Oat flakes and oat flour aren’t the same thing. If you blend your own oat flakes it works buy if you buy oat flours you can’t make an overnight oats because. That’s because oat flakes are cooked , store bought oat flour is raw. You can buy Instant oat flour which is basically grounded oat flakes.

    • @marcusfilly
      @marcusfilly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had no idea. I just looked this up and you are totally right. Store bought oat flour is ground up from raw oat grouts vs what I'm making which is just blended up rolled oats (which are in fact heat treated). Thanks for the education.

    Huge overnight oats fan. This recipe is a great way to get 10-15 grams of fiber and 40-50 grams of protein to start the day. I typically do chia seeds in there for some extra fat, omega 3s, and about 5gs more of protein
