I started out watching Golden Era fighters and its totally molded my personal style. It also helped me understand styles and application of tactics to be successful. So many fights between legends are case studies of going layers deep when your techniques were thwarted
I've been training Muay Thai for almost 20years mostly just as a hobbyist and have had 2 fights. It's a evolution is amazing. I'm 41 now and still training. The only Muay Thai legends I've met personally are Saenchai, Yodsaenklai, John Wayne Parr and Namsaknoi. I've never met anyone from the true Golden Era. Entertainment Muay Thai is doing wonders for the sport nowadays. It really gets people exposed to the art.
What I love about The golden era of Muay Thai is that you gonna knockout your opponent Scorecards Are NOT gonna save you especially if you're a foreigner
@@jalenikezeue4114 Not true. That's a coping excuse foreignors give when they don't understand muay thai scoring. Foreignors who understand muay thai scoring become successful like Dany Bill
Boonlai was one of my Thai trainers and is a very good friend of mine. I was around many of these guys when I was training and fighting in Thailand. Mr Klaew Thanikul set the standard of the golden era and was the best promotor in Thailand's history
Golden era of Muay thai was when Muay thai started going abroad and started beating everyone asses, thus Muay thai has changed the whole combat sport forever until now. Today most stand up/striking/kickboxing style have incorporated Muay thai into their systems. Result? They all look damn Muay thai.
Really great video I love your content, I just got into Muay Thai and I’m looking to buy my first pair of gloves. Do you think the Sanabul sticker bomb gloves would be a good first pair until I can get a new pair of twins for Christmas.
Ik you wont read this but I do okinwan karate and it has similarities to muay thai i do both but I think your like the Muay Thai version of Jesse enkamp
Good analytical observation. However, the golden era was just a hype. I quit following muaythai at that period. Too many fixed fights, and poor jury judgement. Of course, due to gambling. I believe we are living the golden era of muaythai.
@@bl-nb8fo You're out of your tree. We have live broad cast of muaythai fights every day. Muaythai fighters fight internationally much more than your "Golden Era". These fights are broad casted live to Thailand. Talking about talented fighters, none of fighters of that era can match Saenchai, Lerdsila, Buakaw, Yodsaenklai, and One Championship fighters such as Tawanchai, Superbon, Rodtang, Superleg, and Petchtnong, just to name a few. Oh! there are also female fighters such as Stamp and Petch Jija. These fighters earn purse far exceeding fighters of your golden era. We have Thai Fught and One Championship to further expand the Horizon of Muaythai internationally.

If you spend an extra $20, the Sanabul Battle Forge gloves aren’t bad. The Revgear pinnacle gloves are pretty good too for the price.
That’s all I do is watch and train to golden age fighters I want to perfect techniques and bring a unique style to Muaythai
