    We took the Maglev in October 2023. On the way to the Shanghai airport the speed reached 431 k,m/h and took just over 6 minutes. On the way back to Shanghai it took just over 7 minutes. I made a video on my channel. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Australia.

    The maglev to the airport was an experimental line while the Chinese government was doing researches to select the best type of HSR to build up a railway net for the entire country. After a lot of effort, they went for the traditional railroad over the maglev one because the maglev is a little bit faster but a lot more expensive to build and maintain.
    As you can see, several years after the decision was made, the speed of the only maglev line was lowered significantly to save maintenance cost. Now it's even slower than some regular HSRs in China.

      A very good proposal😂In the ethnic statistics of the last century, there were 56 ethnic groups in China, also known as the 56 main ethnic groups. In fact, there are now over 100 ethnic groups in China, each with their own traditional culture. The natural scenery is more diverse, such as Mount Everest in Xizang, basins in Xinjiang, lakes in Qinghai, deserts in Gansu, grasslands in Inner Mongolia, central plains, ice andd snow in the north, mountains and waters in Guangxi, rainforests in Yunnan, etc. Even Chinese people can't achieve the goal of traveling all over China and eating all kinds of delicious food, so we are here to follow the lens of foreign friends and travel online. It was built using German technology. It used to go even faster at 430km/h I think. Don't know if this has resumed after the pandemic. The problem is not about technology but profitability. This line only goes to Longyang Road, which isn't exactly central or convenient for many people, so same as the boys did, many will still need to transfer to the metro there.

    It would be cool if China builds maglevs all across the country. They've been researching maglevs for quite sometime now, and has come out with new breakthroughs. I hope in the coming decades they will be able to implement them all over the country. They can keep some of the high speed rails for transporting food and products.

    • @陈一亨
      @陈一亨 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In the next few decades, it may be possible, but currently, both high-speed maglev trains and the most common green trains are in use. The Chinese government has specially reserved green trains for remote mountainous/underdeveloped areas, and guaranteed that the population of those areas can borrow trains to access the outside world at extremely low ticket prices. This project is certainly losing money, and the various facilities of green trains are not as good as maglev trains. However, these backward green trains are the best choice for people to increase their income. Perhaps in a few decades, they will gradually become wealthy and no longer rely on green trains, and maglev trains will spread throughout China. This process may be long, but it will not stop. This is not just a technical issue, the green train is a living guarantee specially reserved for low-income groups, so economic conditions are also a reason that must be considered.
