I almost wish Bobbery had an extra line, even if it was just "..." considering his love for Scarlett. Like he sees such a love that he had in another, empathizing with them, even if they are just a computer.
Yeah I agree with you. Bobbery is my favorite partner in the game, I just wish that Nintendo could give an additional line because he understands a love that he had with his wife Scarlette.
I actually had Bobbery out for this cutscene when I played it because I know he'd surely understand and know how it feels to lose someone he loves or wishing he could've done more for said love.
Its kinda crazy how much of an upgrade this scene got and the part that follows after. Seeing Tec's monitor glitching and fading and his speech sounds becoming more distorted really helps illustrate he is on his last legs. But I was not really prepared for Peach's theme to start playing once you leave the room and start heading for the teleporter then when you leave you actually see the fortress shutting down and the self destruct alarm being activated.
They did this scene absolutely phenomenally. I remember being upset when I first saw this but playing the remake as an adult now had me in full tears. The new reactions, the music continuing to play (instead of the X-Naut music playing over it), and I’m so glad they still kept TEC’s memory of Peach.
I played this game several times since I was 4 years old. I never thought that this game could make me cry again in the seitch version after playing it so many times, but it did. Bravo Nintendo
SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . In the credits there are some images where many or most of the partners are visible before some boss fights. For example mario, koops and flurrie in the same image when they are going to fight magnus von grapple
Yeah I know but I was kind of hoping since they had everyone in the glitz blimp that all the current partners would show up more in cutscenes like before boss battles or some other cutscenes. Not just everytime they go to crystal star altar to find the next crystal star. Like only have your current partner do the talking and have everyone else there.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is my favorite Mario game, bar none. It takes elements that honestly seem like they would be too heavy for a Mario game and incorporates them perfectly. The whole story with Bobbery and Scarlett still gets me choked up, a sentient computer learns to love and is straight up willing to kill itself to help save everyone and instead of Bowser, an evil, yet comical turtle/dragon hybrid being the main villain like usual, Mario has to contend with a literal demon, which was revived by a crazed madman! Meanwhile, Mario just “Wahoo’s” his way through it all! I love it!
This scene is extremely hard for me I cried a lot it did hurt me. Cuz I like how the adventure went with peach 😢specially the whole conversation and everything she did for TEC is pretty sad
@@t00nedd00d Also, if you missed out on the crane secret, you wouldn't have been able to access it if the base was permanently destroyed. But they could have at least had the X-nauts walk around the place as good guys.
The nosies they make when they talk. I just got to use to . It reminds me of banjo-kazooie. It’s sad, if it wasn’t for tec the world could of in DARKNESS
Something that I don’t know if the remake added in or not was the brief walk back to the teleporter. After the defeat of Magnus Von Grapple 2.0, no more X-Nauts, or X-Yux spawn in the corridors of the fortress. Furthermore, the red “emergency lights” come on and Peach’s theme plays in place of the electrodome-inspired X-Naut fortress theme. There’s no way to fast travel to the teleporter immediately, and even if you do use Yoshi, you’re bound to listen to the music and take in the moment, even if it’s less than a minute long altogether. Again, I don’t know what parts of this sequence is in the original and what part of it was remake-only, but I think that short, quiet walk back to the teleporter does wonders to communicate the desolate, depressing environment of the fortress once the kooky villains and banger music are removed. I only wish that the base was ACTUALLY blown up, like the story claims it is, because the post-game still lets you backtrack there for any missing star pieces and badges. It would probably make this one of the best moments in the game.
I live that Flurrie and the yoshi characters had their own spin on how they said their lines. The others seem cookie cutter to me. With someone like Mousie I would expect her to say the lines of "We have to save the fair princess, for her knight in chrome Armour TEC."
I made it to Ch7 and I finished collecting 4 key cards I am not ready for Ch7 boss and …….this cutscene Although I beat Paper mario ttyd 4 times on original I know that it is possible to visit nearly all areas in xnaut fortress even the red light lit except leaving the fortress
It was easy to show mario angry or frowning while idle. They could have used the same expression when Mario is in danger/peril but without huffing or panting.
@@Betabrawlerhey betabrawlee and yeah your right it's almost like in the old game of super mario 64 where mario is huffing and puffing right after from being attacked from an enemy when his power meter is low to two bars or one bar left but if mario regains all of his health from running through the heart so fast while the heart is spinning or collecting coins he will be fine but I can tell the difference in between this game and that game including super mario sunshine and galaxy and odyssey

@@Betabrawler The shadow queen scene and the scene with Doopliss Beldam and Marlyn scene in the shadow palace and how Mario partners react after defeating them
Spoilers ahead Honestly. How did TEC survive in the ending? Hell, how did Grodus survive? I’m starting to wonder if these characters have plot armor or something.
@@theshadowworld2239 My only theory with Doopliss is that he's a major asshole but he's not truly evil. Like, he probably just wanted to get back at Mario for screwing him over and that's how Beldam convinced him to join, but after the whole shadow queen business he was like "Wow I am WAY over my head, I think I'll find a new hobby damn"
For TEC, I have to assume some X-Naut engineers returned to the moon base and restored power to TEC (and the base), using backup data they found in Grodus' office to get him fully operational as an AI. For Grodus, well, let's just say the person who tried to off him was a really bad shot, and only grazed his already shattered head.
