This is my 3rd mechanical keyboard, torn between this and Tecware B68, and glad that I chose G68. The 2.4ghz is way better than Bluetooth, it's hassle-free! My only gripe is the wired mode, as I kept getting 'USB device not recognized.' That's the only major flaw I experience with it. I also wish that the on/off etc switches are on the sides not at the bottom for easy access. The greatest strength of the G68 is the battery life, it's superb! Been 3 days since I bought mine and I haven't charged it even once. Overall would rate this KB 8/10 (9/10 if wired mode works fine)
Once they polish up the software and release an official one on their website, an update should hopefully be able to fix the USB issue. I honestly did not experience it or maybe because I have not been on wired mode for the most part. I just plug in the wire when it's time to charge. And yes, the 2.4Ghz wireless connection is what really sold me to this keyboard. I would actually buy the B68 but when this one came to my shopee feed and saw the specs... I immediately added it to cart lol
@@lintex I don't see the point why it wont. It uses the same wireless tech used in wireless gaming mice. You will not feel the difference between 2.4Ghz wireless and wired unless you have suuuuuuuuuper insane reaction times or you're a robot xD
Great review! I have been using the white g68 with red switches since 4 months and I recently customized the keycaps with SteelSeries prism caps and they really do justice to the RGB effects and brightness the keyboard offers.

Just charge it using the USB-C cable included and connect it to your PC. It automatically goes on wired mode when plugged in(at least from my experience). Otherwise, you can switch to your desired mode(the manual would explain it) or just flip the switch off. If the switch is off and the keyboard is connected to the computer, then it goes on wired mode.
Great review. May I ask, what bluetooth version does your model have? The variant sold on amazon is bt 5.1, but it also doesn't come with the detachable frame and can only switch between 3 devices as opposed to 5. I'm wondering if theres any advantage to buying from amazon rather than somewhere else (if the only advantage amazon has is better bluetooth id still take it).
I think it's 5.0...sorry I'm not really sure how to tell it since it was not specified in the specsheet or anywhere on the box when I bought this. I believe the ones in Amazon(US and European regions) are different from the ones here in SEA. So far I think the only one with the removable frames are the ones from SEA.
Nice review! It made me buy the keyboard haha. May I ask if yours blink 5 times when fully charged? It’s the only feature that I haven’t experienced yet in my keyboard, though there are no problems on other specs.
Great video I kind of want to change to this keyboard after my anne pro 2 has issues with the switch and not hot swappable 😢… my wasd keys are broken and they barely get registered input even when i use them wired to my laptop.
Oh yeah Anne pro 2 is a great keeb. Mine had a good run before I sold it because of this keyboard. If they come up with a revamped Anne pro 2 hotswap I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But yeah for now rk g68 should do the job for me :)
Hi, how long does the RK G68 usually takes before fully charge? My keyboard only last one whole day with a level lower from the max brightness of RGB. I tried charging this last night but didn't really know if it was already full. I just unplugged it since the battery feels a bit hot already after 2 to 3 hrs of charging. Hope you could answer me regarding this query thank you and nice review btw 👏 More power!
About 2-3 hours. If you've been using the keyboard the whole day(20+ hours) like it doesn't turn off at all then that's normal. It also depends on the RGB setting you use. More flashy, moving effects tend to eat more battery as opposed to steady single color settings.
I used for some month RK68 and redragon, and for me redragon Kumara is the best because Outemu swich red is faster, more precision, soft and very silent than cherry red.
What's your view between RK G68 vs Tecware B68? Do you think the stocks Gateron switch and PBT keycaps on Tecware B68 worth the price or getting an RK G68 and mod later is a good option?
It really depends on what you want to achieve and if you plan on customizing in the future. Both keyboards have their pros and cons. Tecware has great stock feel than the G68...but it's more expensive too. The RK G68 has the upper hand when it comes to wireless performance because obviously 2.4Ghz wireless connection is superior to bluetooth. If you intend to game wirelessly, then the RK G68 is the best option...with the perks of potential mods in the future. If you want a great feeling keyboard out of the box, then the B68.
You're welcome. I was actually torn between buying the b68 and rk g68 last April but the 2.4Ghz wireless connection got me sold. To my surprise, it had extra features like the 2 USB passthroughs which is handy sometimes. I prefer gaming performance over feel. But it's nice that the keyboard has potential for future mods. I'll just need to save up now for the new switches and keycaps haha
There would be a small red light below the spacebar when you plug the keyboard to the USB cable. All royal kludge keyboards have that indicator. This model of mine seems kindda glitchy though. I know it will not light up if the keyboard switch is "off" and the cable is plugged in...but sometimes it still lights up if I do. Also, when charging, the red light doesn't go away even after if it's fully charged
Hey,i just ordered this keyboard. If i change rgb setting or remap some keys in software (in wired mode) ,once i switch back to wireless will it stay that way?
Hi I have the rk g68 SINGLE LIT version. Will your software link work with my rk g68? Also can you show a tutorial to correctly install the software? Great video.
I think no..there is no official software yet so I will never release a tutorial..to protect myself and the viewers as there are many variations of royal Kludge keyboards released lately. Sorry. Try asking the seller to see if they can provide you the software
Hi sir! We have the same keeb, I just want to ask how to know when its charging. When I plug it, the spacebar blinks 3x then nothing happens. Does that mean its charging na? btw, love the vid. Thank you!
The spacebar would have a steady red LED when its charging. Sometimes it goes off when the keyboard gets fully charged. Sometimes it does not. Its a common issue for most RK keyboards as I have experienced that as well on my RK G87
saksak mo lang. Kapag naka-off ung keyboard hindi lalabas ung red LED. Again, yung indicator nia na fully charged can be there or not. Sometimes mamamatay ung red LED..sometimes hindi...di nmn xa serious issue since batteries used on mechanical keyboards don't suffer from overcharging nor from not being fully charged.
Hello! RKG68 is my 1st Mech Keeb and I don't know what is the key functions to enable numbers and special character. Please help me and do a video tutorial for it. Thank you in advance.
How do you know when to charge it and when it is already charged? I bought one recently and the led light on the FN key keeps blinking and I don't know what it means.
B68 has better stock typing performance than any RK keyboard. The new RK keyboards like this one outshines the B68 on features(tri-mode connection, USB passthrough and beefy battery). It really depends on what you really want out of your keyboard. If you want the best wireless performance then the Royal Kludge keyboards are your best bets because of their 2.4Ghz wireless connection. If you want the best stock typing feel, then B68.
You're welcome. I just released a video of a really promising keyboard sent over to me. It's just sad that it's not yet available in the Philippines. They're available through Amazon but maaan the shipping fees are crazy @_@
I'm not sure. The ones in Alibaba and Amazon have Gateron Optical Black, Red, Blue and Brown only. I plan to mod this one with yellows. I recall seeing Gat yellow opticals last time in shopee.
Hi! Quick question(s)! Is this the one that has the top part of the case pop out? Annnd is this the same as the Royal Kludge G68? Doe the RK mean anything hahaha? Thanks in advance! :)
They're pretty much the same..However, note that some regions have different make. The one reviewed here is from the SEA market(bought from Shopee/Lazada). I believe the Amazon and other international market models don't have the removable shroud but retain the same features(5 pin hotswap and tri-mode connection). The older releases don't have passthroughs though so double check with the seller or the item description before purchasing.
Yeah royal kludge keyboards are one of the recommended for budget starters..or you can look into akko keyboards if you can up your budget a little more :)
Hey, mate. I wanna ask something, is it safe to try unmounting the plate from the PCB? Coz i'm a newbie that want to try plate foaming my RK by myself, but i'm just afraid that it gonna cause an unexpected problem, in part where i need to unplug the usb passthru & battery connector. And if it so, is there any suggestion for me to unmount it safely without causing any kind of problem afterward? Thx
Just make sure to unscrew everything and don't force anything out if it won't budge. Make sure you have the proper tools like a philips screwdriver and maybe a pair of tweezers
I bought this keyboard (Same amazon link) but it came without the bezel. In your video, you had a bezel that you removed. The amazon product page shows all pictures without the bezel. Where can I find the bezel AND can I get it in different colors to match my chosen keycaps?
I'm surprised it did not..hmmm maybe the ones in Amazon doesn't come with them. Here in my region(SEA). Ours doesn't come with PBT keycaps but it came with a bezel. We have some guys here who make custom bezels for different keyboards like this. You can probably check around in your area if there's one that makes it. Or if you know someone who makes customized resin/plastic products, you can give him the dimensions of your keyboard and explain what you need.
Bluetooth - keyboard pairs with a bluetooth receiver(on your PC/laptop/phone/tablet) - low power consumption 2.4Ghz wireless connection - the 2.4ghz dongle(USB) plugs to PC/laptop. The keyboard communicates to it and sends the signal to the PC/laptop. Has lower latency compared to bluetooth since it's a 1:1 dedicated connection and it can accomdate higher bandwidth - high power consumption but offers much better performance. This is the same tech used in wireless gaming mice
Hello, Sir! I find your videos very useful. Can I ask? Which one is better? G68 or RK84? This will be my first mechanical keyboard if ever. Thank you, Sir.
RK84 if you feel like you badly need dedicated F-keys. Otherwise, G68 since it's more compact and looks nicer(for me haha). They pretty much perform the same..just different layouts.
why not get both? Lol kidding aside..It really depends on what you want. Each keyboard has it own pros/cons RK G68 - cheaper and easier to mod(less switches) + more compact. No dedicated F-keys and Home/End is on a 2nd layer RK84 - more keys so more expense for modding. But you get keys from a TKL keyboard on a more compact form
Is it just me or when I use the wired mode, it looks like my keeb is charging because of the red light. Is there a way to get rid of that when using wired mode? By the way, nice vid, sir. Thank you!
Try to flip the switch to off and see if it helps. This appears to be an ongoing issue with Royal Kludge keyboards. Sometimes even if it's fully charged, the indicator still stays red and you will have to power cycle your computer a couple of times for it to go away. I also notice that but it seems to go away when I flip the switch off.
I'd still go with the RK G68 because of the features(tri-mode, USB passthrough, 5pin hotswap sockets) and overall modability. K530 beats it out in stock looks but as a keyboard enthusiast, you're likely going to mod keyboards anyway so better get something you can easily mod with nice features :)
That's soulworker online and Phantasy Star online 2:New genesis. Yeah they're pretty nice and chill games. Soulworker is more like a story driven MMO. It's super chill :) Phantasy Star Online 2:New Genesis looks really gorgeous but it lacks some end-game content. I've pretty much hit end game on this one and just login for my dailies and run around and whack some random mobs lol
hi, how do we know this keyboard is charging? ive plugged it in to the wall socket and all I can see just the "Q" keeps on blinking, and how do I know if its fully charged?
Ohhh noooo..Don't plug it in to the wall socket. The current's too strong and you might burn your PCB. Just plug it through your computer's port. The blinking Q means it's trying to pair to a bluetooth device. There will be a red LED indicator under the spacebar when it's charging and that should ideally go away when it's fully charged or if you turn off the keyboard and just go on wired mode. Sometimes, it doesn't go away though even if it's fully charged...a common issue with Rk keyboards from my experience.
The red light on the spacebar should go away once it's fully charged(but this is buggy..sometimes it remains red regardless of full charged). It takes about 2hours to fully charge
Not really unless you have inhuman reflexes. The 2.4Ghz connection offers the lowest latency. It's an industry standard used as well in wireless gaming mice
hi! your video is so good and thorough. i got this keyboard about a month ago and it was working great, but suddenly it stopped charging? when I plug it in the red light doesn't go off and the Fn key keeps flashing for a bit, then the space bar 4 times, then it stops and its just backlight. it basically works fully in wired mode, but sometimes the Bluetooth still blinks (like Q key) even when its plugged in. is there any way I can fix this?
I haven't encountered that before..you can try flipping the Bluetooth switch to 2.4ghz mode and see if that helps..it may be also be a case of a faulty keyboard or cable so you may want to reach out to your seller On a side note..if the pc sleeps while you are on wireless mode, you may need to re-pair/reconnect for the keyboard to work..from my experience I always end up reattaching the dongle whenever I wake up my pc from sleep mode
Hi sir, just wondering... When I bought my RK G68, I didn't get: English Manual (it's in Chinese), extra switch, 2 USB passthrough appears to be blocked. I'm starting to think I bought a fake one. Are there any clones/fake RK G68?
That's a different variant..I learned from other commenters that the 2020 had no usb passthrough while the 2021 has it. Breeze through the comments you'll find it.
yes. I've shown it in the latter part of the vid. Simply press FN+ ,< to set it to a single color and it either goes breathing or steady depending on the current effect you're at.
It appears to be a common glitch for most royal kludge keyboards. Just unplug it after about 2 hours and it should've already fully charged. Overcharging/undercharging is not a case also since you can just keep the keyboard plugged in forever or just charge it for sometime and plug it out and it will hold to whatever charge it got. There's a red LED charging indicator under the spacebar when it's charging..sometimes that goes away when it's fully charged..sometimes it doesn't. At least that's what I noticed on my unit and some of the Royal kludge keyboard units I've seen in my group.
May red LED indicator sa spacebar kpag charging xa. It usually goes away kapag full charged na ung keyboard..though sometimes hindi xa nawawala. I'm not really bothered since batteries used on wireless keyboards/mice don't suffer from overcharging.

Bro what's you review while using in Macbook?? Plzz reply me
Nice review! I just got this keyboard and Id just like to ask how do I know if my keyboard is charging?
There would be a small red light below the spacebar when you plug the keyboard to the USB cable. All royal kludge keyboards have that indicator. This model of mine seems kindda glitchy though. I know it will not light up if the keyboard switch is "off" and the cable is plugged in...but sometimes it still lights up if I do. Also, when charging, the red light doesn't go away even after if it's fully charged
Yeah it's fine. Most kB enthusiasts like doing that since they can flex their custom cables xD
@@KonzTech how to properly charge it po ba? Dapat po ba naka off and on wired mode?
saksak mo lang.
@@KonzTech ok po. Thank you for answering my questions 😬
np. Basta saksak m lng kpag nag blink n ung FN key then bunutin m after 2hours or so full charged n yn most likely xD
Do you guys have any affordable key cap recommendations for the RK G68??
Hello! RKG68 is my 1st Mech Keeb and I don't know what is the key functions to enable numbers and special character. Please help me and do a video tutorial for it. Thank you in advance.

Rkg68 or Rk68 plus? And also what's the difference between them? Please help me guys!
good review sir
Thank you sir!
How do you know when to charge it and when it is already charged?
I bought one recently and the led light on the FN key keeps blinking and I don't know what it means.
can snd or post in the mmet the softare of this keyboard??
been looking for the software for this same keyboard of mine
thanks
What would you recommend for a 2k-3k budget for a keyboard this 2022?
Still royal kludge keyboards or maybe akko if you can bump it up a little more
Hi I'm having a very hard time on choosing between the rk g68, rk84, and tecware b68. Also are there any differences between this and the rk68? Thanks
@@KonzTech Thanks for the quick reply! Hope to see more vids from you
You're welcome. I just released a video of a really promising keyboard sent over to me. It's just sad that it's not yet available in the Philippines. They're available through Amazon but maaan the shipping fees are crazy @_@
@@KonzTech All that for 40$ is crazy! Having the usb c port to the left is a big plus to me. Any idea if theyll be releasing those in gateron yellows?
I'm not sure. The ones in Alibaba and Amazon have Gateron Optical Black, Red, Blue and Brown only. I plan to mod this one with yellows. I recall seeing Gat yellow opticals last time in shopee.
is it good for gaming?
very informative video👌👌 paano po malalaman kung fully charged na po yung keyboard?
Mejo buggy xa eh..minsan nawawala ung red led s spacebar..minsan Hindi. In my case, ina-unplug ko nlng after 2hours of being connected s cable
@@KonzTech Noted! Thanks so much for the info!! :)
Does this have per key rgb and does it have a software to customize each keys rgb?
I’m wondering how to change the rgb affects, maybe he covered it but I can’t find it
How do i know if mine is charging, finish charging and when battery is low?
New to MK, is this still worth it in August 2022? I've been thinking if I should buy this MK.
I got my black version but with white plate.
Must be a different variant. Just learned from those people that commented so far that there are many variations of this keyboard.
Can I change Esc key by the Last Key ('~) in software? U can show for me how make do it? I would like my first key to ('~ with holding FN to Esc)
I'm thinking of getting this keyboard and also some switches, I'd like to know if it's compatible with akko cs switches?
It is. Yes. I am actually looking to mod mine as well using akko switches. Still deciding if I will go Ocean blues or Rose reds xD
I was curious what the plate was made of? :o Aluminium or plastic
plate is aluminum
hi sir! may i ask. What is the difference between the Bluetooth and the 2.4ghz wireless connection? And oh what does the dongle do. Thanks sir!
Bluetooth - keyboard pairs with a bluetooth receiver(on your PC/laptop/phone/tablet) - low power consumption
2.4Ghz wireless connection - the 2.4ghz dongle(USB) plugs to PC/laptop. The keyboard communicates to it and sends the signal to the PC/laptop. Has lower latency compared to bluetooth since it's a 1:1 dedicated connection and it can accomdate higher bandwidth - high power consumption but offers much better performance. This is the same tech used in wireless gaming mice
hello! would you prefer rkg68 rather than rk68 plus? thank you
Either of them will do. The RK68 plus has an exploded layout. Though, I'm not sure if it has a removable bezel/shroud like the G68
They pretty much perform the same..just different layouts.
literally can't decide if i should get this or the rk84
why not get both? Lol
kidding aside..It really depends on what you want. Each keyboard has it own pros/cons
RK G68 - cheaper and easier to mod(less switches) + more compact. No dedicated F-keys and Home/End is on a 2nd layer
RK84 - more keys so more expense for modding. But you get keys from a TKL keyboard on a more compact form
You sound like Mr. Boss from smiling friends...
@@KonzTech Thank you for your reply, will try this workaround and hopefully it works.
what are the dimensions of this keyboard? Torn between this and the RK68 Plus due to size 😅
I have been trying to find this keyboard I can not find it anywhere in black colour and red switches in australia can anyone give me some help
Hello. When using bluetooth, is it good for fps competitive games? Does it still give seconds of delay?
Maybe a second at worst..but the delay is so noticeable..trust me you'll feel it. Just use the 2.4ghz wireless dongle
Thank you
White or Black
this keyboard have per key RGB?pls reply
recommendation? this rkg68 vs k530 pro?
I'd still go with the RK G68 because of the features(tri-mode, USB passthrough, 5pin hotswap sockets) and overall modability. K530 beats it out in stock looks but as a keyboard enthusiast, you're likely going to mod keyboards anyway so better get something you can easily mod with nice features :)
Is it better than rk84
What are those games? Looks nice
That's soulworker online and Phantasy Star online 2:New genesis. Yeah they're pretty nice and chill games.
Soulworker is more like a story driven MMO. It's super chill :)
Phantasy Star Online 2:New Genesis looks really gorgeous but it lacks some end-game content. I've pretty much hit end game on this one and just login for my dailies and run around and whack some random mobs lol
is there a way/setting to keep the lights turned on (for like, 10 or so minutes) in rk G68?
I tried finding it in the software but there is not.
@@KonzTech I see, would keep it nonetheless. Thank you!
hi, how do we know this keyboard is charging? ive plugged it in to the wall socket and all I can see just the "Q" keeps on blinking,
and how do I know if its fully charged?
Ohhh noooo..Don't plug it in to the wall socket. The current's too strong and you might burn your PCB. Just plug it through your computer's port. The blinking Q means it's trying to pair to a bluetooth device. There will be a red LED indicator under the spacebar when it's charging and that should ideally go away when it's fully charged or if you turn off the keyboard and just go on wired mode. Sometimes, it doesn't go away though even if it's fully charged...a common issue with Rk keyboards from my experience.
how will you know if the battery is in full charged and how many hours to charge? got mine yesterday.
The red light on the spacebar should go away once it's fully charged(but this is buggy..sometimes it remains red regardless of full charged). It takes about 2hours to fully charge
@@KonzTech why mine doesn't have a red light when it's charging?
BTW what game where you playing.
Those are soulworker online and pso2: new genesis
what is the battery size?
is it good for fps games
im wondering why my rkg68 has a white backplate? kinda confused if it's the 2020 or 2021 version
I hear it's completely random. Some people in my group also get that. I prefer the white backplate coz it reflects more RGB.
Is the lag still noticeable in gaming?
I haven't encountered that before..you can try flipping the Bluetooth switch to 2.4ghz mode and see if that helps..it may be also be a case of a faulty keyboard or cable so you may want to reach out to your seller
On a side note..if the pc sleeps while you are on wireless mode, you may need to re-pair/reconnect for the keyboard to work..from my experience I always end up reattaching the dongle whenever I wake up my pc from sleep mode
can background color be white?
Hi sir, just wondering...
When I bought my RK G68, I didn't get: English Manual (it's in Chinese), extra switch, 2 USB passthrough appears to be blocked. I'm starting to think I bought a fake one. Are there any clones/fake RK G68?
no. If you're trying to use the USB passthrough wirelessly, then it will definitely not work. It only works when the keyboard is on wired mode.
@@KonzTech I meant 'covered'. I don't have that 2 USB passthroughs. Does this mean that my G68 is fake?
That's a different variant..I learned from other commenters that the 2020 had no usb passthrough while the 2021 has it. Breeze through the comments you'll find it.
What monitor are you using?
I have two Nvision IP24v1
@@KonzTech How's the monitor so far?
They're alright. Been using them for more than 3 years now and quality has been the same eversince day 1
Hello, does the keyboard have white RGB?
yes it does. There's also a variant that only comes with white LED. That one's cheaper too
what game were you playing at 5:14?
It's Soulworker Online
I miss my litten McDonalds happy meal 😞
My litten lost its tail but it still looks cute xD
Can u set the rgb to be just one colour instead?
yes. I've shown it in the latter part of the vid. Simply press FN+ ,< to set it to a single color and it either goes breathing or steady depending on the current effect you're at.
Does it eat celeri?
hello sir! i just wanted to ask if this works on android or ios devices in Bluetooth mode?
yes it does. I just don't know if the multimedia keys would work. They are activated by pressing FN+Left Ctrl to enable the media keys on F1 - F12
Just got one yesterday but whenever I on my pc the fn key starts blinking and I can’t type =(
Are you on Bluetooth mode or 2.4ghz wireless mode? If using the dongle..set the switch to "G". If going on wired mode make sure the keyboard is off
Brought mine recently, plug in and it blink 3 times. charge the whole day and still didn’t blink 5 times. Not sure if it’s fully charged :(
I need help 😭
It appears to be a common glitch for most royal kludge keyboards. Just unplug it after about 2 hours and it should've already fully charged. Overcharging/undercharging is not a case also since you can just keep the keyboard plugged in forever or just charge it for sometime and plug it out and it will hold to whatever charge it got. There's a red LED charging indicator under the spacebar when it's charging..sometimes that goes away when it's fully charged..sometimes it doesn't. At least that's what I noticed on my unit and some of the Royal kludge keyboard units I've seen in my group.
@@KonzTech thank you so much🥲
Hi, I have a question, how do i use the number keys if the function keys are also together.
Number keys are the default input. You press FN along with the key to trigger the F-Keys
That's how you use 65% and below keyboards :)
Any update about the software?
Is the latency high? Im planning to use it on Valorant
Not noticeable for me as long as you opt for the 2.4Ghz wireless connection(don't use bluetooth..it sucks)
@@KonzTech okok thanks po

You should use those pinky fingers
I tried many times...but failed
whhat's the difference between rk68 and rkg68?
The Rk68 was the older version. The old version is not hotswap. If you ever see RK68s still being sold, they're likely old stock.
Is there any update or official release on rk g68 software yet?
Yes
New owner po ako ng same keyboard.
Pano po malalaman na charging yung keybaord and if full charge na??
May red LED indicator sa spacebar kpag charging xa. It usually goes away kapag full charged na ung keyboard..though sometimes hindi xa nawawala. I'm not really bothered since batteries used on wireless keyboards/mice don't suffer from overcharging.
bro, how did you open the usb passthrough?
What do you mean? The passthrough is open and not blocked by anything...
