Just how sports fans react when they lose something, that's how I feel about us not getting in the final of Eurovision. I didn't go in with high expectations (although you always hope) but with every day gone by we were higher and higher on the scoreboard and gotten such an amazing response. I really thought we would make it. I know Greta's main goal was to get the message of the song across (which she certainly has) but it still sucks. It was a FLAWLESS performance and Iceland can be very proud of Greta and the entire team.

Because Azerbaijan has countries like Russia and Armenia that will vote for them no matter what song they put out while Iceland is an island in the middle of nowhere.
Azerbaijan did their best to qualify, because they are rivals with Armenia, and they didnt want their biggest eneny to go to final and them to stay in the semifinal. Azerbaijan has friends with Malta.
