Red does go faster. Though through the power of imaginary the dragon got duplicated. The OG can't interact with proper world now though but can influence certain events that relate to its origins.
2:10 Yeah so this fight is a fight between the two most powerful characters of humanity. Both are literally god killers and the dude (Kevin) has literally eaten/killed gods (Herrschers) in the past. Also, this fight is extremely one-sided. Kevin is only using 1% of his power here and the girl (Durandal) is going full out to kill him. Just so you get an idea of how OP these 2 are, Durandal has what's called a bubble universe inside her body which is what you see splitting the sky, and the reason the area is surrounded with ice and snow is because of Kevin. They are actually in the middle of a desert, but you wouldn't know it without the context. Kevin has many powers not seen in this video, but he has faced down the Final Herrscher, which is basically the god of all Herrschers, and was able to stun her for 12 hours. Even though he stood no chance against her, he was the only one to ever pull off that feat. 4:05 The reason is because right now she is in a weakened state and can't use her power normally. The Herrscher that is possessing her (Sirin) could end up taking her over, and that's why Kiana is holding back the whole fight. This is why her eyes are 2 different colors during the fight. Sirin is trying to take control of Kiana but it doesn't happen because Kiana doesn't want to hurt Mei. Also, if either of them went full out they would destroy a lot more than a city. 😂 12:10 No, you don't need to play Hi3 before HSR. However, you would get more knowledge of how Honkai universe works and understand references in Honkai Star Rail better if you played Hi3 first, as the two are directly connected to one another. Welt from Star Rail is the same Welt from Honkai Impact 3rd for example. As for the other characters, they are alternative universe versions of the characters from Hi3. There are many references to Hi3 in HSR, and it's easy to miss if you haven't played both games. It's up to you, but I would highly recommend playing Hi3 first before Star Rail. Genshin is also canonicaly in the same multiverse/universe as Honkai Impact 3rd, but I won't talk on that more due to spoilers. W video!
the first CG was just Kevin (the strongest fighter of the previous era) and Durandal (the strongest Valkyrie) the city underneath the fight in lament of the fallen was deserted, it was destroyed by the honkai force. also, the Dragon is basicly Kianas Dragon but a zombie version, the name of the dragon is Bella well i think the next reactions will be Shattered Samsara and Everlasting flame, that means you could get emotional maybe crying, well i will, for sure.. there is a TH-camr names "Homulabs" where he does Lore videos and theory videos , but they are sometimes quite spoilerheavy. and the did one for the Multiversal aspect of the Honkai series
_Honkai World Diva_ , the song playing during _Lament of the Fallen_ , is the main KiaMei song from the previous game, _GunGIrlsZ_ . That's also why it's in Japanese, not English like the other songs.
You are not forced to play Honkai Impact 3rd to play Star Rail, but it really enchances the experience. Also explains some things like Welt's Flashback when he saw Luocha. Also, cutscenes get better everytime
Hoyo is really good at utilizing multiverse, each game is their own contained story you don't have to play any of them to enjoy their next game. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY ANY OF THEM BEFORE TO ENJOY THE GAME YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY. I simply recomend Honkai Impact 3rd because while the storytelling is mostly in Visual Novel format I put it right next to the greats like Witcher 3, Nier: Automat and Disco Elysium. The writing (with all the weird typos etc) and concepts that underline the writing in it are just spectacular.
TL;DR: Kiana was sentenced to have few lifespan left thanks to honkai corruption caused by multiple herrscher's cores inside her body. Mei made a deal with another anti-honkai organization that was famous for being radical, all in order to save Kiana. The deal was for Mei to join them. Kiana didn't agree so that's why they had that "brawl".
Both first confrontations are hard to understand without context, and that means spoilers; but all four characters have still potential to grow, but IIRC you see those for Dudu and Kevin only in version previews and character trailers, while Mei and especially Kiana have more appearances in animation shorts.
A channel called homu labs does a great job breaking down lore if your interested but to sum up the question you asked of should you play, Impact 3rd is theorized to be the overarching story of the hoyoverse. It explains a lot about the multiverse of mihoyo called the "Sea of Quanta" where "Bubble Universes" are accessable, which all branch off a world tree type thing in the Imaginary Realm. That is where the powers of quantum and immaginary come from for honkai 3rd and star rail. It is even theorized that deieties in genshin use these powers though they are called abyssal power and heavenly princables. Though that's just fan theory speculation it does seem ligcal since all the mihoyo worlds exist within the Sea of Quanta. You don't have to play any of the games per se but there is understanding of the multiverse if you play Impact 3rd.
Gun Girls Z --> Honkai Impact 3rd | --------------------+ ----> Star Rail | | Genshin Impact Genshin practically has no direct relationship (at the moment) with Honkai Gun Girls Z can be taken from an alternate Universe, to a "Previous Era" to the Previous Era (Gun Girls Z is only available in Japanese and I speak Spanish haha) Genshin in turn can be taken as an alternative Universe to Honkai Impact, since in one of the CGs, Dvalin (Monstand's dragon) appears on a scanner screen and the reflection of broken glass Honkai Star Rail is confirmed by Welt Yang to be another universe, since HSR's Welt Yang is the same as HI3 I hope that helps you orient yourself in the Universe of (how do we say clowns in Spanish(?) TuHoyoverse
12:30 no... star rail, genshin and impact 3 are separate story lines... they do have connections to one another since they are different universes within the same multiverse but that's about it.
Yeah, to expand a bit, HI3 have mentioned GI (Teyvat & Dvalin) and HSR (Welt). HI3 also had Fischl (alternate version) in HI3. HSR have Welt from timeskip HI3 version active in HSR GI had made no mention of other worlds as of yet, could be tied to the lore why it is so, based on what is going on with their archon quests.
Honkai impact and Star rail are both alternate version of each other. Basically Star rail is a parallel universe of Honkai impact, You don't need to play Honkai impact first. What you need to know is that Welt in Star rail is originally from Honkai impact universe, he traveled to Star rail universe
Honkai Impact 3rd and Star Rail aren't connected "enough" to worry about doing one before the other. That being said, Impact 3rd is getting a part 2 very soon and it's the lovechild of Hoyoverse so if you want to "invest" your time more effectively for more long-term payoff, I'd say go for Impact 3rd over Star Rail in my opinion. Star Rail is very good (and will likely get better), but Impact 3rd's masterpiece of a story is already a juggernaut and will keep it timeless after all hype fades.
Fun fact: Mei stole Kiana's dragon and paint it red
Red does go faster.

I mean Mei literally doesn't give a flying fuck about the world if there is no Kiana lol.
you should check out the concerts they go real hard specially the 2nd and 3rd

Impact and Star Rail ARE related. Welt in Star Rail is the Welt from Impact but the stories don't really overlap. Hope to see both of your gameplay!
