Hey vee, I respect the bravery for putting Gastro in A. For me its double S. One of the main tips for getting higher BCs is using Gastro, and has so many pros: 1. Incredibly effective from level 1, a great first mutation 2. Great off color, especially with tactics where you have no healing mutations 3. Great when there is little food, even greater with a food shop 4. Great when you need to heal, but also extremely useful when you are full health. Like, what other healing mutation is great when you have full health? The only cons is that: less useful for bosses, and that it is kind of RNG, maybe you can't find a food, or you get two small ones. But I feel like I have to ask myself "why do I not use this" rather than why would I use it.
Recicle 2 malaise food or even 3 if you're lucky and boom, 30% damage for you 🤯 I can't find myself without using this mutation, it really helps a lot trough biomes
To satisfy your frenzy fantasy, you should try this, cause i just had a lucky run on 5bc where i: - found a legendary smoke bomb (gives you a speed boost when used) - picked up a swift sword - instincto + frenzy + velocity - didn't need to use a single health flask throughout the run and flawlessed the Queen for the first time
Blind faith actually scales all the way up to 6s per parry which is insane. Also just want to say hard disagree on Gastro being A tier. The high base percentages make it one of the most universally useful mutations in the game. It makes large food heal for more than the flask. The damage buff from recycling food is gravy honestly. I usually agree that more damage is better than survivability but the numbers on Gastro are insane.
Also just want to point out for anyone that reads this, if you have an active damage buff from Gastronomy and you reset your mutations for a boss fight you still keep the damage buff for the full duration
Cursed Flash + Demon Strength is what gave me ALL Flawless on boss rush mode, got a bonus with Ammo mutation and a insanely strong cross carries the boss rush 5BC Flawless run even on Tier 4 Aside from that, totally agree, meme build if I ever saw one
Ayo noice , just couple of main complaints. Blind faith is probably the best cooldown reduction mutation , because unlike master instinct of arms , blind faith has 0 internal cooldown. So you could just pop back your skill after parrying a boss 2 times , if you are playing survival . Armadillo is Cituational. It is great in caverns , very good against demons , and good against one queen attack , one hotk attack and one collector attack . The rest it is just mediocre at best or useless at worst . Wish meme is triggering tho smh .
initiative for me is actually one of my favorites especially for early game… if i get a decent amount of dps scrolls i can one shot a lot of enemies with some weapons. i’m still new so it helps a lot for getting the 60 kills without getting hit
Tactical Retreat feels better now with the slow changes. I would consider it on a tactics melee build that doesn't run a shield, since you wouldn't have many sources of damage mitigation to begin with. It has the benefit of scaling its slow to 3 seconds, twice as long as Caltrops. At higher scroll counts I would consider swapping Caltrops out for it.
It must be just me but I typically use Frenzy when I play Brutality. It’s a lot better when paired with Velocity, but you don’t have to. If you’re going fast (which you should be in 5BC), it’s essentially a small passive heal every time you deal damage. It’s not much (Necromancy makes it laughable), but it’s not nothing. If you’re not taking a lot of damage. It can passively recover your damage before you get hit again.
Frenzy and Adrenaline are just not very good even compared to off-color mutations like you mentioned, though I find What Doesn't Kill Me to be notable. If you check how much health they actually give, especially earlier on, it's really not much
as someone who defeated spoiler boss: frenzy is busted if you can afford to keep it up (and even better if you have vampirism + a fast heavy weapon like shovel)
For me i will put frenzy on A or B tier because if you are aggressive in every biome and always kill all the monsters your health will be 100% again if you don't take damage because it will take too long to have full health again while the monsters deal high damage
Hey vee, another comment, frostbite for me is Cituational, it is not about the damage, is about fealing with kamikazes when yiu have slow weapons like symm lance and toothpick. It is a great fly swatter because those monsters only hsve like 1 hp
And also why you wouldn't do an infinite curse build with damned strength and curse flask with a legendary curse sword , you will oneshot enemies and bosses
I feel like tainted flask it at least A tier. In High Peak, HOTK and the spoiler biome alone you can recover more than a full flask. That lets you go YOLO on flask usage though the game. 3 stacks of malaise? Nah, flask. 50% health? No need to care, flask. It lets you be totally reckless playing brutality. I usually dont need to flask at all on normal games, but it's super fun to know you will be able to recover everything late game.
Tainted Flask is very very good, I'm surprised it got a C tier here, in the later half of the game you're just getting flasks and damage all at once, it's awesome
I played a bunch throughout the year after release date but I got stuck at 5BC. I died during the Alchimist Boss fight. Now 4 years later I want to come back but I got lost with all the new biomes and skills/weapons. I hope your video will help me somehow
Heart of ice + melee + master of arms + wolf trap + baseball bat + cudgel\ throwable object + root grenade\ whatever other ability Also gold plating on the off chance that you find philosophers stone
@@Veedotme that's strange, I tried once and extended healing pretty much just completely nullified emergency triage. It was a while ago though so maybe it was patched or something
What is the highest damage on any weapon in your inventory that you or anybody else in the comments have gotten? I’ve gotten a 1,160,000 baseball bat, which is so fucked, but so fun.

I chose not to have a SS here, but if i did a few things wouldve moved lol
5 - you Always have a bonus dmg upon entering the next biome in 5 bc, because you just sell the infected food before leaving.

It's a must pick for me. Having so much healing is just fantastic since I have a risky playstyle.

I finally beat 2BC thanks to this video… which I watched today. I used Wish, Vengeance and Melee.
Alienation is good for if you take a few hits in the second biome, you can head to full in the depth 2.5 biomes

Nice vid ! Quick question though : why do so many people like armadillopack ? You already have s while rolling...
Armadillo will parry all bullets and bombs back at enemies without using the cooldown
