The difference between Angelina singing, and other artists, is really quite simple to me now, but it took a while to really sink in. When other vocalists sing, no matter how beautiful the song or music is, they are putting on a show for me. Yes, sounds great, but there’s something missing. What’s missing is a “connection” between me and the singer. I hear what the singer is singing, but I don’t “feel” what the singer is singing. With Angie, I feel like I’m wired to her emotionally. That she is holding my hand and taking me along for the emotional ride she is experiencing herself. Pick any cover or original. Angie’s not singing “to” us, but rather holding us close and taking us with her. That’s a rare, rare quality

At the age of 3, she had the goal of singing and impressing Simon, and accomplished it 10 years later. At 7, she wanted to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert and accomplished that at 8 years old. At 7, she also wanted to be a superstar and sing for the world. I have every confidence that she will also accomplish that. The world already loves her.
You’re starting to get Angelina. She covers so many genres, and she kills them all. This is the same singer you watched cover Screamin Jay, Queen, and James Brown, and Etta James. And believe me, you have not really heard what Angelina can do. She surprises you with every song with variations on that textured, slightly raspy voice that can come through softly, powerfully, bluesy, or jazzy-and always with perfect interpretation of lyrics. She’s easily the best singer I’ve ever heard, and I’ve listened to music actively from the 50’s.
Try her cover of Rihanna’s “Stay”. Like most of her covers, it’s so much better than the original, and it’s also something you need to see-that would be Angelina, sitting with no production stuff around her, and just an acoustic guitar so you can hear that voice full-throttle.
John, her new 7th HEAVEN gets immediate nods towards the old HEAT song, and I certainly heard that but she took hers in a very different direction. I don't know what she thinks of HEAT, by the way. The way that bass is recorded with such a timbre - that is an awesome decision - born to anyone who's had their ear to the back of a guitar, bass or any acoustic stringed instrument. And they had to 'mike that up' differently just for that soung. That sound, more than the finger-snapping toe-tapping opening takes this song away from HEAT, in my mind. "Oooh, listen to that bass!" not "let's snap our fingers." Not immediately, at least.
I think I'm more impressed with taking a common-enough finger-snap rhythm and crankin' the wheel around about 180 degrees as she goes forward. "Sounds like -" lasted for about ?? 3 seconds ?? therefore. It's amazing to me. I wouldn't be surprised if this tune wasn't her plunking on her guitar, and the bass player slid in and took it over, and then the real songwriting began.
@Paul Munn: If the Dimash comment was for me-yes, I do listen to him. He’s remarkable. I think that, technically, he’s the best singer around today. I’m sure I’ve listened to every song he has on TH-cam. There are a few songs of his that I’ve listened to multiple times, but I don’t seek out his videos. I want to listen to Angelina everyday, and I do. Aside from Angelina’s amazing vocal talent, there’s an instant connection she makes with me right away. I think that’s true for most of her fans. In addition, she covers a wider span of genres beautifully, so her next song is always a surprise. I don’t know any other singer like that. For me, she is once in a lifetime good.

She’s been called a prodigy since a small child. She has perfect pitch, perfect timing, an extremely wide vocal range, and add to that the ability to interpret the lyrics in such a way that goes straight to all our hearts. She’s obviously also an excellent actress!

Personally I find it so hard to rate her performances. I have maybe 10 favorites (personal for me for different reasons), and this sure went straight up there. This one sets a new standard, she has matured once again. When we all thought she could not possibly get or sound any better, she comes up with this. It is mindblowing, but we already knew it would be. She is Angelina. Thank you, Mister, you rise as one of my favorites too 👍
It only makes sense when you consider that at 15 years old she’s been performing professionally, or at least at a professional level, since the age of 7..so she’s 8 years into her career already! Remarkable.

Angelina not only takes the rendition of the song to another level but also changed the lyrics, giving this song a different meaning, uplifting it. It's a new version!
I think that this is one more time that Angelina made her cover of the song considerably better than the original (by Adele). In addition to being technically flawless (to my ear), Angelina infuses the song with big scoops of buttery-smooth heart, soul and emotion. I think it is the heart, soul and emotion that lags in Adele's rendition, when compared side by side. It is hard for me to imagine how anyone could improve upon Angelina's version of this song.
She told the interviewer of Norway's got Talent that she wants to be a superstar, at 7. You nailed it! And saying her talent isn't fair to other singers hit true too. For me she has made every other singer just not deep enough or rich enough or really anything enough. With very few exceptions, I try listening to other talent and end up stopping it almost immediately. I have an all male acapella group that I am obsessed with as well, so I do go back and forth. I am beyond thrilled to see another reactor of substance becoming enamored..so much fun!
I remember another reactor who said, the first time she heard angelina sing, that the entity inside of this child is a very old spirit... An ancient one and I have to agree with her assessment. There's no other explanation to find logic on angelina's abilities and even her incredibly mature behaviour at the age of 7.

Yes there is. It is called talent and lots of hard work even at young age to cultivate that talent.
It is similar to physical talent in sports. You have the raw talent but with lots of practise who make it even better.

Personality I think words and statements like that are insulting and demeaning to the talent and work she has put in her signing.

Accolades & Praise cannot justify Angelina our vocabulary is subpar at best. Reactors always fall short being speechless and/or the same words over and over "amazing, gifted, mind-blowing"...on and on. It has to do something to a person if u can sing and evolve from the age of 1.5 without parents interrupting and stearing another direction. And being able to go for what one really really want.
ANGELina first saw Simon C. on one of his talent shows, when she was 3 yrs old, and already then she asked her mother if she could sing for him. Her mother, ofc answered, "no honey, you're too young now"... at 7 she auditioned for Norway's got talent, where she stated to the interviewer "When I grow older, I wanna be a SUPERSTAR"... Just turned 8 and she won NGT.
6 yrs after that she got the call from AGT Champions... So 10 yrs she's "waited" to sing for Simon.
Some say, me included, luckily she didn't win AGT Champions.... and now has the ability to still grow and evolve into stardom in a slower and more progressive way that suits her talent.
Republic Records drew the longest straw and signed her last year, and it looks like ANGELina's able to do just that. Do her thing in mostly her pace. ;)
What a gift to be able to watch this prodigy from early childhood performances, and going forth into adulthood and stardom. She's a GEM, a rare precious GEM

You need to hear her live performance with an orchestra singing Sing Me to Sleep, or Feeling Good, both done when she was 10 and killing it.
You can (and probably will) listen to this many, many more times and you will feel the same way each time. She is so captivating, instead of figuring out what is going on we just let ourselves go and let her take us on her musical ride.
Many of us say in our lifetime we have never come across anyone who has affected us the way Angelina's voice has. And, what makes it even more desirable is that she is such a wonderful, warmhearted person who believes that love is always the answer.
She has an army of "Angels" all around the world who love her and will always be with her and, if need be, she can always draw strength from "us".

Most girls her age, and younger when she won Norway’s Got Talent, are not in touch with their voices or their souls. But she is. No emulating! Just Angelina straight on!!
For me, it’s not a question about being fair. Being or playing fair in a highly competitive industry is accepting or acquiescing to the notion that Angelina shouldn’t aspire to greatness and to fulfill her dreams because she might hurt other less talented singer’s feelings. The music industry is full of people with fragile egos. When it comes to Angelina it has everything to do with her being the most uniquely gifted, supremely talented and versatile musical talent on the planet. There are a great many very talented singers, but there is no one like Angelina. She stands alone and far above the fray. She is in her own lane. You see and feel it. Angelina is a gift to mankind.
I have teared up listening to Angelina for the reason you suggested. Is she the incarnation of all the great female singers of the past? She is like a spiritual gift to stir our hearts at a time when we need lifted up. She seems so humble and understands her profound talent. It's also obvious that she loves music, listening and performing to it.

If you havent already then you might want to listen to her version of My Funny Valentine. Her voice has really matured and its the best version ive ever heard...as most hers are. Adele sang this well but Angelina sings it better from a pure vocal context. This girl was put on this world for one thing...to touch people....
And she does it with no autotune or bigband to cover her mistakes. Just a voice and a piano...thats it. Astounding!!! I cant get enough of listening to her. Adele who?!???

On the surface she sounds similar to Adele but if you hear them side by side, Angelina has a much rounder, warmer sound. The texture of her voice is richer and she uses many more vocal resources than Adele does ;)
If you listen to both artist you can hear immediately that Angelina voice is warmer and richer.

Diana Ankudinova is a young performer who shocks us with her pleasant voice and takes us into the abyss of events!!! Diana Ankudinova is unique and inimitable, goosebumps from her voice! Diana sings as if she lives in the song! The soul freezes or opens with Diana's voice. I am a musician who has been with music for years, and believe me, I have not heard such a tone in all these past years.

Diana is a very good singer with a unique voice,but I'm not sure that I would call her voice pleasant,and in spite of being a very good singer IMO she can't be placed in the same category than Angelina Jordan.

What I like to do before watching any cover by Angelina is watch the original video by the original artist. That way it's fresh in my mind how different and better Angelina's version is 💕

When you listen again you will be more aware of the vocal differences Angelina brings to this & and every other song: warmth, soft richness, fullness, grittiness without sharpness. In short authentic creativity! (It actually blows my mind how flat, thin & conventional 99% of the singers out there deliver songs)
