I watched Windham151's gameplay obviously, and I'm getting more and more hyped for this game. It just looks SO much fun! And that's kinda what's been missing from MX games lately, I feel like. As a kid, I just loved riding around in freeride-mode in Motocross Madness 1 and 2, exploring and looking at the maps.

Have you played the game "MX Bikes" before? If you have, or are down to try, I have some community-made map recommendations that will 100% fulfill that itch for you.
Mainly "Cannonlands" by Xlr8_Bigmike, easily my favorite freeride & just track to vibe on.

Motocross madness 2 was the first video game I ever played a lot good time playing that

This is the first MX vs ATV game that I've been excited about in over a decade

Where is this map
Gameplay and level design looks like an insane step-up from All out.
The driving, the slides, the air time, less areal control. Sounds awesome.
Graphic wise, looks good.
Level design, look insane. it reminds me some tracks of unleashed.
But 1 thing keep itching big time.
The animations.
They look really rushed and extremely stiff.
And because of 2 factors :
1. Active Ragdoll
The characters look like he doesn't have any physic while riding, like it's just fixed animation.
Every other game from the franchise had this, even unleashed.
That's what makes landing and turning very stiff.
2. Character stabilization
One thing that destroy most of the juiciness is the absence of character stabilization.
Since All out this feature is gone, the character doesn't try to stay straight on the bike, if the bike is 90° the character will also be.
Which is completely unrealistic.
In Alive/Supercross/Reflex we had this, and that made them look much closer to real life, because the character actually tries to keep a balance instead of always having the same angle as the bike.
I hate the fixed animations unleashed had it down
The back tire slide bothers me big time. But, I play first person so I'm sure I'll be good.

I keep hearing that this game feels like ALIVE and im 100% okay with that cause thats my favorite game out the entire franchise. 😄
It was the worst title to ever come out lol. Bad sales, low player numbers and the game is dead dead after 12 months. Why the fuck would you reskin it and make another!! This company's burrying it self💀😂
If this had Alives physics it would be the best, but just looks like an updated All Out

I can't wait man, If i had to complain about anything I wish the ruts weren't twice the width of the tire and the engines didnt sound like they are starting and stopping constsntly the sounds just feel All Outish but all in all looks like alot of fun, brings back nostalgia waiting on a new MX Vs. ATV that im actually excited about. I been waiting for them to change things up.

The environments look quite large and amazingly beautiful! 😍It reminds me of the giant maps of Untamed! I would like a terrain deformation like in Reflex. But I'm so excited to play Legends, I really like it 🤤

Huge improvement in the level design over all out in my opinion
Mx Bikes and Mx Sim may not "visually" be equivalent to these Mx vs Atv games. But those game are 100% more enjoyable based simply on physics alone.

The bear rock monument trail looks like the trail that is in the mx vs atv untamed cutscene! As a kid, I always wanted to ride something like that..
Looks really cool - but those are a really loose interpretation of a "trail". Looks just like some dirt roads to me. I hope there is some single track on that map and I hope that all of those rocks have good collision boxes to do some hard enduro on.

Physics in all aspects need changed with the riding. The developers only focus on graphics. They're still not realizing where the game needs upgraded. Have yet to see an Mx vs Atv game that's even near in competition with a $30 mx bikes game. Much less paying the $60 they usually ask for.
This looks like a world made in an unreal engine with a dirt bike thrown in.
with some juicy N64 physics
Everything looks promising, very much, my only worry is the traction. It looks like you riding on ice. If they can work on that this game will be on point.
Hopefully tuning can mitigate the sliding.
@@jeeteebee1111 I'm hoping, all out had the same problem with it's suspension untill you can find that right tune. I figured with the weight in the air physics. the tires look like they don't connect to the ground

As a person born and raised in colorado, I’m letting y’all know this place doesn’t exist. And it looks more like Alaska or something. We don’t have rock formation like that at all lol.. nor do we have grizzly bears 🙏😂
That bike looks like an Alta with a gas motor in it 😄
Looks pretty good and super fun tbh, but there's definitely no crazy detail whatsoever... no muddy trails, no snow mixed with dirt, no rocky trails, when you ride on the snow it looks identical to when you ride on dirt (also dirt comes out from behind and not snow), no time of day changing in real time, no animals or wind fx or particles etc. the world just looks a bit dead unfortunately. Hope they've ironed out at least all the gameplay issues we had in All Out.
Rainbow studio in MX Vs ATV Legends clearly takes advantage of the new LOD system (Nanite) in Unreal Engine 5, which lets you create massive static worlds where the engine optimizes everything with low effort from the design team. Great job.
Forsaken will be the first UE5 game shipped.
Pretty sure this is still UE4 but they do use quixel bridge megascas LOD with the old mesh landscapes.
Anyone else as hyped as me about this!?!? So stoked about the game it looks and I get a better feel for this game unlike All Out for me that game has so many bugs and glitches. But anyways I’ve watched so many gameplays on this and super hyped. There’s still some tweaking that can be made with the stiffness of the rider and bike but other than that love it. Can’t wait for the release!!
The only thing worrying me is how much sliding the bike does still, and the rider movements seem so weird. Hoping the physics are decent for this big of a game release
I played Untamed, then reflex and then alive and they went less and less free roam. I just bought legends for a tenner just because of your Video. because all i want i free roam with a MX bike or a dual sport. Oh boy. Thanks for showing this side of the game too. I am not that interested in Motocross or Supercross, so this is great for brain out and ride around.

This game just feels off, visually it's amazing but the bike controls feel too arcady with little to no control over the bike/rider.
They should bring back Rob Rinnard for the next MX game. Him and his buddy had the physics down to a T in MX Unleashed.

yep that's a deal breaker. it shouldn't be possible to instantly 180 like that. then he suddenly crashed in another corner after only turning like 15 degrees. tell-tale signs of a broken physics system.

A way that motorcross games could have an open world aspect is if they were to do something like nba2k and the free ride tracks are like neighborhoods and you have to ride a trail into a loading screen that pops you into a new free ride track

That nationals track is very creative. Really like the idea of going into the mountains to ride a track. Very impressive all around from what I've seen of this game, excited for Tuesday.

The only thing in the game that im iffy on is the sliding/ skipping, not even the back wheel sliding, its like both wheels lose traction and just slide and skip, almost gliding across the ground.
I agree. It's like nobody else notices that but once they buy the game and play it, they'll be like "why am I sliding so much, why is my front end not grabbing when I turn the bars.
They spent too much time on the open world and not enough time on the rider/bike. It doesn't look planted. All Out was too planted and now it's moon physics 😂
@@odiseemx3525 If you go watch Windham first gameplay video or the first supercross gameplay video from the devs, all.of the comments were about the sliding.. I think people are just over it and it the goods outweigh the bads after seeing more gameplay. People definitely noticed it tho. They just don't care anymore cuz the game looks pretty good, other than that.

I’m still waiting for the bike game that captures the inertia of the bike properly.
I ride bikes in the hills and low mountains of NZ. All bike games feel too much like fly by wire and overly forgiving.
They don’t capture the ruts and bumps and the unforgiving nature of a 200kg machine moving at 80kph.
Great video tho bro. First person looks sick and you weren’t annoying or trying to be liked or funny but were naturally likeable.

I'm so excited for this game that I had to go out and buy MXGP 3 and MXGP Pro. Never played any of those and I'm itching for something to play until Legends comes out!!
I bought mxgp pro too for the same reason but was unpleasantly surprised
@@othmanelmhannaoui4244 I like pro a lot. I like 3 too but the textures are very muddy because it doesn’t have Xbox one x enhancement. Turning is slow and the bikes are heavy. It’s a nice change from all out.
I'm a bit new to MX vs ATV and pre-ordered Legends so I don't know if it's in these games but I would love if they had goals and quests kind of like Tony Hawk's games and a full-featured photo mode because some of the views you showed looked like they'd make incredible shots!
if you want to play MX vs ATV just get reflex.. If you're a sucker for graphics then get All Out, but I do believe, and most of the community too, that Reflex is the best one. MX vs ATV Legends is just not a good game..

this is the first video I've seen of this game but I think I might actually think about getting it. Only MX Vs. ATV games I've played is Unleashed on Ps2 back in the day, and Reflex on PC (obviously)

@@19298701 I guess release date if you preorder them and they’ll probably be individually available after release date. as for dlcs there’s ama tracks 6 sx tracks and a compound not sure yet they haven’t specified who’s it is there’s OEM manufacturers ie Suzuki, KTM, yami, Kawi there’s old Japanese 2 strokes btw there’s also Polaris and that’s about it

Love this game. Not sure why there are so many haters. Love the Supercross and nationals, but the trail and rythym races are my favorite. They made sum pretty freakin epic jumps on those that actually get my blood pumpin a bit, especially in first person (helmet cam). Wish they added some more things to do on free ride, like being able to take the ski lift down, or some how connecting each free ride map would be awesome. Another thing I definitely love is the fact that you can earn money (motocoins) for basically every event, even not in career mode, as opposed to previous games in the series where career mode was the only way to earn $ in the game. I also find myself playing in 1st person on this one a lot more than previous titles. My biggest gripe: online multiplayer - seems like the only players online are those with the best possible upgrades/tunings, and literally no one online sucks. Plus it can be hard finding an online session. I think A cool feature would've been a training/practice mode where you can turn on on-screen guides for speed, lines, preload level, etc. Other than that, love it!

The games typically dont have the physics for enduro type obstacles, shame as It would be a lot of fun, this map is kind of just a lot of flat and very boring trails haha.

I was worried that I’d be let down with this game as I’m a hardcore mx ba atv guy but was extremely disappointed with all out. Fortunately this doesn’t seem like the cases with legends! Preordered and ready to go!
