- Che Apalache is a four-man string band based in Buenos Aires with members from Argentina, Mexico and the United States. Their cleverly crafted "latingrass" evokes images from Appalachia to the Andes.

What a fantastic group! I heard a piece about them on NPR on August 14, and found this video. I suspect it's too late for them to be added to the roster for this year's North Carolina Folk Festival (September 7-9), but I have already made a suggestion to see if they can be part of the Bear on the Square Festival in Dahlonega, GA in the spring of 2019.
Please I hope so! I want to see them again in person so much! I love these guys - they are so incredibly talented! Saw them in Atlanta and again in Asheville, NC - would love to see them in Dahlonega!
