This isn't an exaggeration by little Kuriboh by any means. The pharaoh legitimately attacks Weevil 7 times back to back even though he only needed two attacks to finish the job, Weevil picked the wrong moment to say "it's just a prank bro"
And here’s an added bonus, while it’s called the heart of the cards in the dub, Yami actually has a power that lets him draw any card he needs from his deck. He didn’t happen to draw that many monster cards, he CHOSE to.
For a moment, Yami thought Weevil seriously ripped the card containing Yugi's soul in half, meaning he was gone forever, & of course, none of this would have ever happened if not for Yami choosing to activate the Seal of Oricalchos (something he didn't have to do, that Yugi pleaded with him not to do). In other words, Yami thought "Yugi's soul is gone forever BECAUSE OF ME." When he realized it was just a prank, he decided to show no mercy to Weevil & waste his punk ass.
@@mildsatyr3731Yep, it’s part of what the millennium puzzle does; it gives you impeccable strategy and near perfect luck, truly the king of games. Only outright said in the Marik duel and the final one, but really makes the DORO scene stand out when you factor in that it was intentional
@@mildsatyr3731 The Puzzle just gives a passive luck boost and grants a miracle when the wearer is backed against a wall. It's only in the final duel that 'Yami' and Yugi have experienced so much that they can control fate at will.
Fun fact in case you didn't notice: The second card Yugi drew was indeed friggin Mushroom Man. He still has it in his deck. :D

That DURO MONSTA CARDO line was epic no doubt.
I legitimately thought LK got the actual VAs of Rex and Weevil to make a cameo when i first saw this. His impressions of them are impecable, Weevil sounds exactly the same. I think that crazy wail by Yami at the end of the duel with Yugi was also in the actual show so thats why its here too. This season is weird, because it has some of the most memorable character moments in the series but its also so poorly pieced together. The abridged series actually does a better job with conveying the characters emotions and making the villains more memorable than the actual show imo, while making fun of the nonsense and plotholes of this season at the same time. This is likely the worst YUGIOH season but its my favourite YGOTAS season overall.
The best thing about the DUROOO MONSTA CARDO is that it wasnt even far from the original.
In the original he attacked at least 7 times for 10500 damage (in the actual game it doesnt work like that, but, hey, anime rules are different) before the Pharaoh was stopped by Tea (and he still drew another monster card)
Rex is put in the "Yugioh villain" category mostly because he chose to associate with Weevil. Rex isn't the smartest guy around, for sure, but he isn't evil. His duel with Joey back in season one was pretty ordinary compared to the rest. Hell, the only reason he's considered a bad guy is because Mai tricked him into beating Joey as payback for beating her.
Honestly, I think Rex deserved more time in the spotlight, with a one-off episode where he duels someone, and that's the whole episode. The difference being that Joey is there to give him advice at the last minute that helps him win the duel. Thus, setting up a semi-friendly rivalry between them. He deserved better than how his character ended up, anyway.
rex was robbed of more screen time. didnt even get a proper duel in battle city, he was beat by espa roba and fell for the ESP cheat strategy. shouldve had another duel with one of them, even if just in the KC grand prix

This was a great scene. It's interesting how Yami was portrayed in the sub and the dub version.
Sub = You can hear the pain in his voice, which shifts into blind rage.
Dub = He turns into a sadistic psycho (basically Season 0 Yami).
So basically... sub is superior because it’s more complex and realistic.

Yami losing Yugi’s soul and having to duel his ghost is like the only good thing from this season. Well that and Mai’s outfit
The funniest part about the mushroom man thing is that it was actually used competitively a while ago.
I highly, highly recommend finding the actual scene, whether in English or Japanese it's such a great scene. In Japanese, you can hear the pain and anger in Yami Yugi's voice. And in English, Eric Stuart is just a beast.

In the show, Tea jumped because she didn't wanted to leeave Yami alone without Yugi.
I love that in this episode because of the Orichalcos, they act like they are in the show.
In the show, Yugi's dragon didn't wanted to fuse because he was betrayed by Yami since he used the seal of Orichalcos against Raphael, because in this season, the monsters are sentient, because this filler arc it's tightly written...not.

You should watch the actual duel against Weevil, when I saw it back then dubbed it was dark and overkill
Yes, as was the duel vs. Raphael where Yugi's soul is taken. In fact the subbed version of both duels (and most of the series) is dark as hell. Sure season 0 is even darker, but it really surprised me watching the sub for the first time (after growing up on the dub). People die & lose their souls ALL THE TIME.
I liked it better when Dartz hair color changed
Yo Shaman King is the shit! Though if you watch the reboot you should watch the original first for about 18 episodes(end of the first rounds) then switch over to the new one. The remake speeds through the beginning way too fast, even worse than Brotherhood did, and for some reason early animation in it isn't the best compared to the almost 20yr old one.

It is a parity of code Geass, but don’t worry if you haven’t watched the original anime because this is pure randomness, but some of the jokes may fly over your head if you haven’t. It is easily one of the funniest abridged series of its time and still remains so.

Naruto the abridged series was brought up this episode. That was also made by Little Kuriboh . It’s only 10 episodes long (I think). you should give it a chance I think it’s really hilarious
Close. The Naruto the Abridged Series he mentions every so often was created by Vegeta3986 and MasakoX (Abridged Goku/Gohan). Many abridged series decided to spoof each others works for April Fools one year and Little Kuriboh did Naruto. I want to say few if any of the others ended up releasing a video. However, LK had so much fun doing it he kept making more. For a variety of reasons, Naruto Abridged collapsed and Naruto the Spoof Yada Yada show just got better and better until LK's health forced him to drop it.
Fun fact: Little Kuriboh's naruto "spoof" (the real name is absurdly long) is NOT "Naruto the Abridged Series." That was one of the first abridged series ever made, inspired by the popularity of Yugioh abridged, long before TFS did dbz abridged, back in the old days. It was made by 2 guys: Vegeta3986 (who voiced Raditz & Yamcha in the early days of dbz abridged) & another guy you MAY have heard of before...MasakoX (you know...Goku & Gohan lol). Yes, that was their debut into abridging. Since it was one of the most well known series at that time, Little Kuriboh made fun of it several times in yugioh abridged. Yes Yami has a cameo in it & Naruto (voiced by Vegeta3986) has a cameo in yugioh abridged as well (Tristian shows an episode to Serenity while she is blind and can't see it). Anyway, naruto abridged produced several episodes, but slowly faded away, with the creators shifting their focus to dbz abridged.
AFTER all this, Little Kuriboh (as a joke) decided to make his own naruto parody (which was also a parody of naruto abridged) & actually made multiple episodes & possibly a movie? It is pretty much a shit post, so don't expect high art or anything, but it is pretty funny for what it is.
I....I feel really old to have been watching these old ass shows back when they first came out.
