    A great live band! I saw them in Vancouver Canada in the 80s and yes they Deserve Hall of Fame status!

      Top of my RocknRoll fame.Along with Littlefeat.I'm from UK we never produced a band that could top these guys in the 70's.Sure we had pink Floyd Led Zepplin.Load of pretencious shit!.

    It is so obvious that these guys really love making music together .. and have managed to stay together and keep playing, over several decades... unlike other bands

    Little factoid for the fans....when you hear Van Morrison's "Wild Night" that's John McFee playing steel guitar....the lead guitar on that song was played by some guy named Ronnie Montrose...you might've heard of him too :-)

    I went to one of their concerts in 1973 at the Honolulu International Coliseum. Aerosmith performed "Train kept a Rollin" as the warm up band. Oh the memories.....

      That's John Cowan a former member of New Grass Revival. An Ohio native, he's a fabulous vocalist who continues to perform with various bluegrass artists when not touring with the Doobie Brothers. He joined the Doobie Brothers around 2010, I think, or at the time of Skylark's stroke.

      Appreciate the clarification. I meant of course Johnston back on lead. Didn't realize until I looked it up that serious health issues caused his departure in the 1970's. McDonald years were unlistenable.
